Well, if it weren't for my internet at home not being able to keep a connection for more than 5 minutes at a time right now, I'd be hosting some xbawks live player matches. I think I need to get a new modem at home before I can do that though -.-;; The update for CS2 should be out Thursday still for PS3. I guess we'll just have to wait for PSN to be back up to actually play each other.

Are you going to be over at the student center at all tomorrow afternoon? I'm free after 1:30, so I could swing by and give them to you. Also, would anyone be interested in having weekly online player match lobbies in AH3 and BBCS2 over the summer? I definitely wouldn't be able to stream anything with my home connection, but if we get enough people I might be able to eventually start recording matches (if I succeed in getting a summer job).

Daijou was apparently almost unplayable when it first came out and it took over a year for them to patch it. Then again, I don't know of their prior track record, or track record since, so it's kind of unfair to base my opinion of them on that. They did afterall make Stein's Gate, which I haven't played the game, but I'm liking the anime adaptation of it =P I do however have problems with what I've heard of the game's system, which makes it sound like Smash Bros for people who like anime.

Everything I've heard about Phantom Breaker makes me definitely not want to try the game, starting with the fact that 5pb is making it, seeing the wonderful job they did with DoDonPachi Dai Ou Jou. I think the controls for the game are supposed to be like the controls in other games' simple modes. Also, Keits was a day late posting about Arcana Heart. Then proceeded to bury it in a bunch of MK shit.

Getting hit? Block. Still getting hit? Stop pressing buttons. STILL getting hit? Block better/hit less buttons.

SSFIV also has those weird crossup unblockables still, where if you try to block, the attack lands on the front, but if you don't (or hold forward) it hits behind. Also, I played a few matches online in Blazblue today. I think I actually play better online. I don't rely on random guesses leading into stupid combos since I can't very well do them under any lag, so I end up analyzing people and reading them (or at least trying to).

I'm about to carry the PS3 into my room so I can wire it to the internet. Just as soon as I'm done putting 3.55 back on it, then as soon as it's done putting 3.60 on itself.

I was kidding D: Basically, with the patchless method of rebalancing they have, I'm willing to bet they'll edit the game frequently, responding a lot to loud, whiny people, and loud, whiny people will probably complain about unblockables.

Did you get the Tournament Edition or the Madcatz MK panel Chris? Also unblockables? Looks like Neverealms needs to go in and edit that text file because that's broken Also, I suppose I should get around to unmodding the PS3 now...

In Blazblue, while you're blocking, you have to remember you have a lot of options. No matter how you spin it, you want the other person off of you. To do this, you can either escape during a gap in a string by either backdashing or jumping out, punish unsafe moves in a string, or you can always barrier guard to try to create enough space to where your opponent will whiff a move. To do all this though, you need to know when to do it, which basically comes from playing a lot and learning what other characters' general pressure strings are. Eventually you'll learn when you can press buttons.
