Would you guys object to non-fighting game side tournaments? I've been wanting to run a Mr. Bucket tournament at a major for a while.

I'd be up for an online league over the summer myself.

And yo Paul, in reference to your post on SRK about the Blazblue crew and CEO in June: I live 3 hours from Orlando, and I think it'd be pretty easy to convince my mom to let people stay here the Thursday night before CEO and the Sunday of CEO. There'd definitely be a limit to how many people could stay though. That should make it easier for everyone to drive.

Erm...well...it's Tech's Spring Break this week, so I'm not sure who's still on campus (I'm not). I'm not sure what Paul was planning on doing this week.

Mixups in Blazblue? all day, everyday.

Tsubaki's not a hard character at all though, at least combo-wise. Probably the hardest combo I know with her is like grab>214B>dash>5B>2CC>sj.C>jc.CC, and the only difficult part is the dash 5B. Her mixups aren't too hard either, since a lot of your mixup game should revolve around making your opponent make bad guesses as to when you'll grab.

Paul, you should reread who's post you're responding to. And I found the group the other day when browsing the group section which I didn't know existed, and I figured I'd refer the group to the match finder thread for Georgia to try to get new people in here.

Browse the groups section of the forum (which I didn't even know we had until this week). There's a group for Georgia players called the Syndicate. I saw it this week and reminded everyone that we have the match finder forum =P

I am, however I kind of want to get back to the dorm around midnight. That being said, I don't think I'll be bringing the setup, and I guess you'll need a different computer once I leave.

He Paul, what's your capture thingy called? I'm thinking of getting one to have something to mess around with over the break.

You should email your professors to see if you can turn your stuff in early. Just say something along the lines of you need to take someone somewhere, and it's far more convenient to be able to leave around 11 or so =P

I'm going to ask if I can attend the 9am Japanese class with Andrew on Friday so I can be available after 10. And Andrew, you're going to beat Tokido, I'm going to make FlashMetroid look free, and everyone's going to go home with a big check. Also, only 64 people total (fewer for people in the top 8 in multiple tournies) really NEED to be there on Sunday, but Sunday's the super chill day for casuals that everyone should show up to and level up after almost everyone is out of all their tournaments. Basically, you're paying, you might as well take the opportunity to level up.

So...how/when is everyone getting to Final Round on Friday? I think I need to get a ride if I'm going to make it in time for Blazblue, as the friend who's place I'm staying at will probably be picking up John later. I only need the ride getting there on Friday.

Since this is the last gathering before Final Round, and we're probably going to have a lot of people show up, we should try to compile a list of the setups we'll have and try to get dedicated setups for most of the games that are going to be at Final Round (hopefully all except HDR and Tekken, since no one who shows up really plays though). If Kazzmatt, Paul, Jim, and I all bring setups, we'll be able to cover AH3, MVC3, SSFIV, and BB. Then Malik's PS2 setup. We would just need a 6th setup for the other PS2 game. I could bring John's PS2, we'd just need another tv.

If Kazzmatt doesn't show up this weekend, I'll just steal a different Ps3 to pop Blazblue in, and let you use my PS3 for AH3 =P

So, this Friday, I'm bringing my PS3, with only Blazblue, which everyone will be forced to play with me, as Friday is my birthday so I will assume the authority to force people to play things. I really want to place well in it at Final Round.

I finished Persona 4 today. I had a lot more of the game than I thought I did. I think it was a good use of my weekend though.

It's all micro-switches and is designed to be held with a claw grip (in other words, you don't use your thumb for face buttons). That thing should pretty much be the epitome of pads (barring how long the microswitches want to last).

So, I'm trying to get my CS work done tonight so that I'll be available right after classes end tomorrow. Would anyone be up for some punchy games at my dorm after 4?

It was only dead because of Fundamentals February, which I called off. We can play Blazblue again now guys (especially since Revival is Saturday and I want to do well).
