MAYYYYYYYY 12!!!!!!!!!!@@@@@@$#@!$#@%$#

=[ It was only one purple throw combo... And I just really like the OTG 6A>22D unblockable setup. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RGWinrISOug Maybe this will be more to your liking Paul =\

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sf-Y6aSqZA4 So...much...grossness...
-
Change it to Platinum's ass.
-
And then a Carl will land a random hit

How late are you planning on playing tomorrow night Ben? If you're still going to be playing at 9, I'll call you when I get back to North Ave.
-
I'm sorry that you've been reduced to playing online Chris. You should have shown up Friday though. For one, I had your headphones case, and for two, Kazzmatt and I were playing Blazblue for quite a while. Then we got tired of playing Lambda/Litchi, then Paul wanted his stick back. I'll be bringing my PS3 every week now to guarantee at least one Blazblue/AH3 setup now. Also, I'm pretty unbusy this week, except on Tuesday. If you have time, I'd be down for playing some Brazbrue.

[CS1-CSE] Valkenhayn General Discussion
TheGreatReptar replied to Black Onslaught's topic in Archive
12 frames is unreactable, unless you're a computer. The fastest reaction time I've ever heard of was about 13-14 frames, and that was probably measured with a simple button test, where a light turns on and the person hits a button. I doubt anyone can react to a 12 frame overhead unless their name is The Flash. -
Luckily, unless I actually learn how to play solid, that's not going to happen.
-
It's like what Marty said Friday. Noel Brown is apparently gross at MvC3. There's obviously problems with the game simply because of that.
-
Her air throw throws them straight down and floor bounces. You can follow up with 6CC into whatever. You don't have to use 2 bars for ground combos either. 22C also gets a hard knockdown like 22D does, so you can do 5BB>5CC>22C>236D. You're just a little limited in followups after that if you use 22C because of its proration values. You will need 2 charges if you start with 22D though. 22D still wallbounces in the corner though. You can do 22D>5C>2CC>2A>2CC>2A>2CC>ender in the corner. Does pretty decent damage and has good meter build. You even have enough time to get like half a charge after the 22D if you use 2B rather than 5C. Does less damage then though.

So, apparently there's fighting game tournaments on campus next Friday for MvC3, SSFIV, and Blazblue at 6pm. I kind of want to show up to advertise our Friday gatherings if there's anyone good.

I would have played Tsubaki in CS1 if she wasn't the worst character in the game. She could have been around Jin's level of bad, and I would have played her instead. CS2 Tsubaki seems really good. She has really good corner carry now, the damage on her basic BnB is up like 15%, her air throw is really good, and dive whiff combos are awesome. I can't do instant air dash combos on pad to save my life though. I'm going to have to look into the program thingy that let's you play a PSP on your computer screen with computer inputs to get my stick hooked up. I especially like the theory-fighter behind her charging being faster. Now if characters aren't on top of Tsubaki, she can get free charge, making her more of a threat the longer you try to play keep away. Also, with how easy it is to get charge, her setup for landing a full charge 22D is more practicle. Now if only they would give her another super that doesn't suck.
-
I doubt Noel is going to be free of bad matchups. Then again, I personally doubt she's an S-tier character. I think the only character that might not have a bad matchup is going to be Makoto.
-
Just pick 3 characters, one of them being Mu for Carl, and roll with them. It seems like the game might actually have a large part of the cast with a mixture of good and bad matchups, so you can actually pick a combination of characters to cover bad matchups. Also, I just found out that nearly all of Tsubaki's ground normals are air unblockable now. The only ones that aren't are 6B(B), 5A, and 2A. I like it. The 236 series isn't anymore, but the 214 series is now which makes more sense. She's gross like me.

LK's GAMEPLAY RELATED QUESTIONS ONLY question thread
TheGreatReptar replied to Lord Knight's topic in Archive
It's an above average game with the potential to be really good. Therefore I support it hoping the series eventually reaches its potential. That's my stance at least. -
Saying I know the Makoto matchup would be saying I know a matchup, which I don't know any. I just confirm combos with Litchi and finish combos (sometimes). I think my 3 characters I'm going to play are going to be Tsubaki, Mu, and Rachel now, dropping Litchi completely. Tsubaki because she's gross like me, Mu to counterpick Carl, and Rachel because she's rather fun now. Carl's going to be such a pain in the ass though. It's going to be clap loop all over again -.-;; Ivysaur initially said you could only 0 to death someone if you had full Nirvana gauge, which didn't seem too unreasonable. Having to take down over 40% of Nirvana's health before you can afford to take a hit from Carl is going to be insane to try to deal with.
-
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g8yDE-YRGOU#t=25m23s Can they please just ban Carl already before this shit becomes CT again? 60% Nirvana meter, 25 starting heat, 0 to death on an 11000 health character -.-;; And here's some tier list things List 1: S: Makoto, Tao, Hazama, Jin, Noel A: Carl, Rachel, Lambda, Litchi B: Tsubaki, Ragna, Arakune, Mu, Valkenhayn, Hakumen C: Platinum, Bang, Tager List 2: S: Makoto, Valkenhayn, Jin, Noel A: Hazama, Carl, Tao, Mu, Arakune, Tsubaki, Rachel B: Lambda, Platinum, Ragna, Litchi, Bang, Hakumen C: Tager I like how Arakune, in all his retardation, isn't S tier in either one. Also, anyone know what makes Jin so godlike? I want to say I like list 2 better, but Valk being S, and Litchi being B seem off to me. And for giggles Reptar's list based off nothing: S: Makoto, Hazama, Carl A: Jin, Noel, Tao, Mu, Arakune, Tsubaki, Rachel, Litchi B: Lambda, Platinum, Ragna, Bang, Hakumen, Valkenhayn C: Tager And really I don't think Tsubaki should be A. That's just wishful thinking. Then again, I base this list off nothing.

I believe Lian Lian had it, then he found John and myself, and gave it to us to give back to you.

You know what we forgot to do Friday? Discuss CEO =\ Also, Chris, I apparently have your headphones case.
-
Rachel/Tager specific combos with Tsubaki are fun. Off of an unblockable, you can do 236C>214B>22B then if you wind up in the corner, you can do 6C>236B>214B>22B or 6C>j.C>jc>j.C>j.236A>j.214A. You can also do the first part off a back throw, then do 6C>236236C. I've already got 2 new favorite combos too. Off of 22D in the corner you can do 5C>2CC>2A>2CC>2A>2CC>j.C>jc>j.CC>j.236A>j.214A. Then midscreen you can do 5BB>5CC>623C>j.236D>j.214C(whiff)>6CC>j.C>jc>j.CC>j.236A>j.214A.

You're probably right. It'll be a month after the announce BB3 too -.-;; Also, the weird input leniency from BBCT portable is gone. 2 then 6 doesn't get you a quarter circle every time now. However, I seem to have trouble getting repeated half-circle inputs to come out. I don't know if it's weird leniency eating the inputs, or if it's just me being bad on pad. There's also shoryuken leniency which is beginning to annoy me. 6236 gets a shoyru, so when a combo is 6C>236B it's kind of frustrating to go back to neutral when you shouldn't have to. On a side note, Hakumen's Renka is now 236B instead of 214B. Thought that was an odd change, but it's nice because now if you mess up TKing Hotaru, you won't get Renka erroneously and burn 2 stars. Since his C attacks are faster now, you also have awkwardly long delays in combos. He feels easier though. Also, Tsubaki dive-whiff combos are hard to do on pad =\
-
CS2 actually has achievements on the PSP. There's a lot of new stuff packed into the game. Challenge mode combos are easy as hell though. I finished Noel's and Tsubaki's in about 10-15 minutes each, only getting stuck for a little on Tsubaki's #10 because I can't do double quarter circles on a pad that well. They added in Guilty Gear's survival mode too, pretty much copy+pasted. You also have to level up by playing stuff in order to unlock gallery images, unlimited characters, and colors. Also, new Tsubaki is gross. Now if only they'd hurry and release it on consoles -.-;;

So, I'll have my hands on BBCS2 for PSP in about 30 minutes. I'll let you guys know how it is.

Hey Paul, do you want to stream at Gamefest this semester?
