  1. There seems to be a distinct lack of people bitching about the single worst part of this game. Unblockable anti-airs are the most annoying god damn things ever. Why am I the only one frustrated by this BS?
  2. Why are there two versions of Hakumen?
  3. I'll get the rest from Jourdal later and we'll have the last two months or so of vids from his uploads.

  5. It's probably already been mentioned in here somewhere, but that air dash j.B off of an Agito ender is gonna be hilariously fun. What would be the next thing you think once people start to learn to block it? Fake it and land for a grab?
  6. Are there any specific criteria for videos, or should I just start linking every Jourdal upload I watch with a Hakumen match in it?
  7. 2A 2A 2B 2A 6A 6B 2A 2B Kishuu grab variations of 2A and 2B Doing my best to quit ending block strings with 3C like you said.
  8. That still doesn't help me against Mashy McMashmash.
  9. The problem I'm running into here is that everyone I fight mashes through the first gap they get and now I'm getting counter hit and corner carried again. Things like j.2C on block or hit(non counter hit) as I'm landing are the worst. Although now that I think about that if I know they're gonna try and hit me as I land I might stick a 6D in there and see what happens. Also, because of this, I'm never able to extend any sort of pressure with a hop into a grab or a few more attacks. The second I try to hop or kishuu, the mashing happens. I'm trying to get into a better habit of adding things like Renka and Zantetsu to my block strings, but I'm usually working to get in on them by the time I have meter to do something of the sort.
  10. First tip for playing Hakumen, is realizing all his moves suck and are terrible. Everyone will beat out anything you try to do, even other Hakumen players! I'd say try not to get into a habit of relying entirely on air dashes for mobility, and remember that Hakumen has Kishuu as well. You can surprise them with Gurren sometimes too, but its range isn't anything special. Hakumen's wake up options are 2D and 6D, and Yukikaze for the most part, but most people can predict when you're gonna use them. Be prepared to tech some grabs and watch out for a delayed overhead.
  11. You can see if any of the information in this discussion will help. http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?13759-CSE-Hakumen-vs-Taokaka
  12. Not as much of a guess if they know you're about to tech in the air or know you're attempting to get out of the corner. But anways, boo for free damage in fighting games.
  13. Bang says hi.
  14. 720 is mad easy to set up on someone who doesn't know how to react to it or expect it. Hence, Used to despise, I know better now. It's 5600 points of utterly inescapable damage that will end the round more often than not. Hell, I still think command grabs are lame for being inescapable outside of purple grab(mostly because they're a major weakness for me). The point I was trying to make had to with the likely frustration that comes along with instantly losing, knowing there's nothing you can do to stop it. Kagura's slow mobility makes his play style look relatively similar to Hakumen. Probably won't be too hard to switch to him instead if you don't mind feeling like you're riding a bandwagon since there will probably be hundreds of Kagura players online following release.
  15. As someone who has been quite excited to try out CP Hakumen, even I think it's starting to kill the fun knowing Haku can just come in and blow you up off one mistake you make. Reminds me of how much I used to despise Tager's command grab and 720. I think that outside of OD, he seems to be in a pretty good spot, despite the changes to his counters. They should probably get rid of any special proration from OD mode and maybe tone down his meter gain in OD. It's a tough problem to solve since high meter = high dmg for Hakumen regardless. Perhaps use the repeat attack reduction more liberally on his OD combos. Taking the OD cancel away from his grabs too might help a lot. 8K+ just seems too much too easily, but how much of a difference does it make if he's capable of 5-6k outside of OD? I guess the most obvious difference to me is that at least outside of OD he has to work at it a bit more. Another idea might be that instead of putting the focus of higher damage in OD, perhaps give his attacks some new properties similar to what they did to Shipuu so that it's still useful even if you're doing the same kind of damage that you're doing outside of it. Agito always bouncing, Tsubaki gets invinc frames, etc.
  16. Does her hammerfist move have any special properties like passing under mids or highs? You can see the after image of Bullet leaning low when the burst goes off, maybe it went over her? Otherwise, that'd be something pretty lame to worry about.
  17. They tend to keep the genders pretty equal as far as the cast of characters go. So the new characters have Azrael, Kagura, and Terumi for males, and Bullet, Izayoi, and Kokonoe for the girls. Then there's Amane which is a bit more ambiguous. I'd stick him with the girls because of his low HP personally. I don't really expect anymore characters, but then again, I never thought we'd end up with Platinum either, so there's always that.
  18. I hate when I spend all my luck for the month on a mighty come back round and now know that the universe will punish my every mistake with impunity.
  19. I've been punished too many times by anti-airs.
  20. Thanks for the advice. Yeah, I know the Tager match up pretty well, I just haven't quite got to the point of recognizing all his combos. So it's a bit tougher for me to predict when to delay the tech. Dropped combos is mostly a bad habit created from trying to double tap the directional too quickly and it ends up being a single tap with a muscle twitch, need to fix that. Thanks again.
  21. Cool, well, I'm online now, no promises that we'll have a good connection though. Seems pretty hit or miss with this game.
  22. I had CS1 on PS3 and Xbox a while back, but now I've only got Extend on PS3/Vita. Sorry. Let me go through my replays and see if there's a good example.
  23. Hey guys! It's me again! Why does Hakumen suck so much? I get mashed out by literally every person I fight, and if I try to do anything remotely aggressive, I usually get punished by recovery frames, anti-airs, or a grab. I can't even use D against them because the active frames are too short and the recovery frames just means I get punished again. What am I supposed to be doing so that I can actually hit confirm into a combo with this character?
  24. Mu is special in this regard because she gets at least 4.5k with a DD off pretty much any starter. Get a certain counter hit and it jumps up to 6k easy. My problem with it is how easy it is to do. No particularly special timing or delays or connects. Just a couple of OTG's and finish with your DD for good measure. Mu spams C like Lambda spams D pretty much. When I said lucky strikes, I was referring to just waiting for your opponent to make a mistake. I don't know about you, but I hear the announcer shout "COUNTER!" a lot in all my matches from both sides.
  25. The damage on her corner combos is absolutely absurd. The fact that they are stupidly easy is just icing on the cake. Spam 5C and her j.C's a few times until you get lucky and you pretty much get free 5k+ combos. That's mostly generalizing, but I personally think they should at least have to work at the damage.
