  1. Aw shit, sorry bro. Um... I guess we can do something Sunday? Or maybe after next? I forget these things... Hey Shin, wanna go to Drem's tonight?
  2. Hairy Sweaty Men > Furries I was going to start asking lots of questions in them but didn't want to be the only guy who needed help with free matchups.
  3. Oh wow, a DL mod in our own area! This thread is usually dead so I have to bump it every now and then. Hit me up with you info and we'll game. I'm bad though, but you know, support the scene xN and all that shit. You're the Venom mod right? DubiousCurve is here... he's got a solid Venom. I don't practice/play GG that much but I do when I can. But I really love Baiken character/playstyle wise so I enjoy when I play. We should be gaming it up tonight (mostly MK) at Black's who lives in Cheseapeake tonight, mainly for MK. Then tomorrow night at ODU, for Arcana Heart and MK, but we can do other games too. We have Shin hosting this weekend. So yeah, we got stuff going down. I need to get a hold of Kam sometime.
  4. Proto, I love your stick (no awkwardo).
  5. Yeah, we forgot about HnK, but we'll slip that in next time. IIRC you can't do it this weekend, but next we probably can. Maybe I'll stay out late, have a few drinks and what not. Also Drem can host this weekend, and he plans on Arcana Heart 3 and Mortal Kombat being the highlights this time. Get your game face on! Also real talk about my Bang, I feel like I did do better two weeks ago than last weekend. It seems as if I got worse, or that you gotten better. But I take that's how it is playing fighters right? Sometimes I can get on a roll but my weakness is not letting me get any kind of momentum, cause that's how I am. I need that momentum. If something in my gameplan stops working then I am completely shut down. We really need to get back on that Arcana hype, maybe sit BlazBlue back for a while and focus on Guilty Gear or Arcana until CSII comes out.
  6. Thanks Gates. :D
  7. Looks like they used his old soundclips for his Superman attack...
  8. Good shit last night Shin. I think the most fun was in GG and MB, even though we didn't know what we were doing apart from DBC. Your component cables make me envious! I also need Bang help at some point...
  9. I'd be down for May Lee... current cast is legit. Most SNK characters are legit anyways.
  10. Lets do it Sunday, cause the weather is looking to get shitty.
  11. Raiden That is all.
  12. Oh, new Bang guide. I really liked the ones you had for CT and CS1. Thanks DaiAndOh.
  13. So instead of Blacks, you suggesting its just us cool kids playing BlazBlue and the likes?
  14. Has Momentary Life been transcribed yet? I prefer the Guilty Gear Original version but any version is fine by me.
  15. Looks like its up to us to show up to Black's or Dsinnies. DBC, are you available this weekend?
  16. Makes sense. I also need work on hitconfirming, but that is something I got to work on my own.
  17. I'd use them to put on my Droid phone, and I know some others who could use them.
  18. Can you hammer nails with your fist yet?
  19. I play Bang and it took me a while to even step my game up just a little bit (and he's top tier). But if you're having trouble doing combos in an actual match, its two things: a)You're jittery. Calm down. b) You don't know your combos enough. If you can't start combos cause they're blocking, you need to practice what to do on block and get used to using overheads and lows, and look at frame data to see whats safe and not safe, and how to continue pressure to make them mess up. I suggest random block with block switching enabled. If you want test your blockstrings, make your character the dummy (record feature is nice, use it) and try to get out of it. I can honestly say that most of the game's interesting stuff comes in matchup experience, and most fighting games include when knowing when and when not to hit buttons. This is where frame data comes in. See the other character's frame data, practice it in training. Getting counterhit is never a good thing for you. Also another crucial element of fighters is knowing your opponent and how they react. If your friend reacts to things a certain way, make her pay for it. If she likes to tech a certain way every time, hit her for it. If she techs in the air too early or something, grab her and make her eat a combo. In other words, what sinder said. Fighting games take a while to get used to, and a lot of people hit blocks in their playing. Sometimes you just have to look at the bigger picture, and try to focus on one issue at a time.
  20. I was going to go but it was an hour away, and my mom had the van. I should have invited them to my hotel :x
  21. This is a wonderful guide to one of my favorite fighting game characters ever, thanks so much Hellmonkey. If you ever have a free moment you should add more to it. I can give suggestions, but I'm a noob myself. I do have a question though. Since I don't have the game on right now its hard for me to pinpoint the question... but when doing the standard Dust combo, when exactly do I stop holding up? And do I need to be holding 9 or just going straight up? Sorry for a simple question but its been bothering me since I haven't done it/messed with it enough.
  22. So I've been playing Hakumen a bit and messing with combos and stuff, but what are some good blockstrings/confirm strings into combos with him? I can figure some out but I'm kinda curious as to the tightest strings possible. And being a Bang player and having combo tools off of everything, what good is Hakumen's 6B? How is it used to my advantage?
  23. This x infinity
  24. You could always play a better game. /typical elitist response
  25. I have a PSP, one's firmware is too new, the other is old. I don't have the memory for it. I can work something out, I guess. Also as a reminder, no Drem casuals this weekend, and I will be in NoVA for the weekend as well.
