  1. Yeah, I'd be in Southfield on Saturday if I get a ride (in which case it'd be Southfield -> Ann Arbor -> Southfield). If I get my own ride, it'll be from Southfield -> Ann Arbor -> home.
  2. Me getting a different ride open up a slot for someone else if needed, but I need to know ASAP (before Thursday). And that means I won't be in Southfield on Sunday, so any casuals past Friday become an impossibility.
  3. ...Should I make plans to get a different ride than ShardZ then?
  4. That way Luna can sleep through the practices too.
  5. Apparently I forgot to answer. Classes Wednesday bro... though I have some time from 12-3...
  6. I remember the times where we would suggest titles for the next thread. Man times have changed. Michigan Thread 21 - Katzsigh.jpg
  7. Don't know if you know this, but in CS2 combos they aren't actually hitting with j214D and comboing after it. If they cancel into and from it, they used j214D~C followup, which cancels the attack... Hope this helps.
  8. Um, I haven't looked into this much, but I think you need a cable that can connect the Cthulu to the PS3/PC. I think RJ-45 cable and a USB extension cord. Confirm/deny anyone?
  9. It should come with its own, my seimitsu stick came with one... But you can buy a balltop separate.
  10. Dual mod refers to two pcbs within the same stick yes. Usually means for Xbox 360 (because there isn't a replacement chip for this controller, you have to padhack a 360 controller) and PS3. One of the chips that toodle has is one chip for PS3 and PC I believe. Check it out.
  11. I don't know if you can use the home button from the controller... search around and see if it's been done already. Otherwise you might need an extra button (or give up the home button altogether). Other than that I think you have the parts.
  12. Um... When you say 8 buttons, how many and of what kind? You mentioned that you wanted a home button, so with 6 face buttons, start, select, and home would be 9 buttons. Also there's different kinds of joysticks and buttons, which differing resistances, colors, engage distances (all information that's available on slagcoin btw). Also if you can use quick disconnects with your wires, it's a convenience. Other than that, there are certain tools you may need to buy or borrow, like a soldering iron, screwdrivers (not sure what one for the PS3, sorry), and other woodworking tools. Making your own stick is a lot of work .
  13. Yes, it's also known as padhacking. There's a thread on shoryuken.com that has some good info about that, slagcoin has some information regarding specific controllers as well.
  14. Well, there could be character specific things like reversals and safe pokes... but yeah, defense is mostly universal. Speaking of pressure, starter CS2 pressure strings would be something good to put in vids like this.
  15. Probably not, but I'd say the Rekkas FRC is important (so 2 if you count normal mode and moroha mode as different ones) at low level, which to me seems easier than most FRCs because you have more time before you need to press three buttons than a projectile FRC... I didn't start playing Guilty Gear until a little while ago, just thought I'd provide my perspective since I'm newer to GG.
  16. I don't know about the rest of Melty players, but I don't particularly care (or really even like) that it's based on Tsukihime. When I played it, I played it for the gameplay, the reverse beat and meter system was interesting...
  17. Thanks for the Fiona ava.
  18. Maybe if I had the game... But I've been theoryfighting with Magnetism, and got some stuff I want to try out next time I have access to the game.
  19. Well, I thought Homing Cancel was supposed to be the main AH3 forum...
  20. Maybe an article spelling out the similarities and differences between BB and GG would be another option that would do the same thing? Just an idea, open to criticism.
  21. I don't think this would work. There are more characters in GG, and possibly some characters in BB that don't have a similar character in GG.
  22. Not a true unblockable.... it can be a really fast overhead with dash 4B (so the first hit whiffs, leaving no hitstop before the overhead). Not sure if you were referring to that or you thought it was actually unblockable.
  23. You assign your buttons for tournaments, yes. Just in case you happen to find yourself playing on an arcade cabinet, it's recommended that you use one of the two default Blazblue button settings. Type A B C D A Type B A B C D
  24. Whether you go fight real people or just mess around in training mode, get to know your moveset. It might help with learning combos you find on dustloop, but learning the characters' moves was my first step in learning back in CT. I'm a visual learner so learning what these moves look like helped me to visualize the combo. Combos is where you earn damage, but if you can't start the combo, you're not going to win any fights, so by that logic you should get familiar with your character first. Best to find one or two simple combos that you can rely on when you need them.
