  1. Most good Mu's don't spam lasers from one side of the screen. They use Lasers as cover and go in and combo you. Good luck guardpointing lasers when she runs in and 3C CH loops yo ass. Edit: Unless you're Arakune of course. Then all good Mu's just spam j.c and spam lasers. >_> But seriously, what Bang should be doing is using his mobility to pressure Mu so she can't setup lasers. Mu has lots of trouble against characters who can get in her face quickly, like Bang, Hazama, Taokaka. You get the idea.
  2. You can 5C it? Cor', I must of been timing it really badly. Alright, thanks. Sorry that ended up being pointless. I honestly thought you couldn't. :P
  3. Be very careful using 5D. The active frames of Arakune's 2C go right under it. If he does it, for the love of god, press B to get yourself away ASAP.
  4. Yeah, but when they land, they sometimes like to do 5D, which usually beats j.b because of it's range and priority. And the problem with IAD BD 2D is that Belial Edge seems to have ridiciously short recovery time. I've tried stuff similar to this, and they just end up jumping and doing j.c into a 4k combo.
  5. I have a really big problem with this matchup now. It's not so much has to do with defense as it does have to do with Zoning. Belial Edge. If I try to zone Ragnas like how it has been suggested in this thread, then they usually high double jump and go right over my bellug, 2D or cloud. It's seems nearly impossible to beat it out with a 5C, if it CAN be beaten out with a 5C. Belial Edge seems to have body property and amazing priority. No air attacks beat it. Pinwheel, J.6a, j.b, j.a etc all lose to it. It's safe on block, and even if it whiffs, it's really hard to punish unless the spacing is really lucky. So, what exactly should I do against this tactic? I don't mean to punish it, I'm sure that's quite hard. Just what should be my general strategy to avoid this approach?
  6. When did he say Shadow was using Platinum perfectly?
  7. Ah, sorry I was being akward. What I was trying to say is that is there a way to finish combos without the superjump cancel j.2c. I didn't realise you guys were telling me that if I stop the 6D at the end, I can finish with a 214C or a distortion drive, at the sacrifice of a bit of damage. I completely misunderstood you two. I assume that's what you were trying to tell me? On that note then, is there any way to finish with a 214D# without doing the aforementioned SJC j.2c? I originally thought that after the 6D, I could do 5C > 6C > DC > j.c > JC > j.2c > j214D. But unfortunatly, it doesn't work if there's been more than one 623D in the combo. Is there a way to combo 214D off a 6C, or do I have to do something completely different?
  8. That's fantastic, thanks. Just a quick question, if I wanted to add another 623D to that list, would it go like this; 6C > 6D > 6B > 623B > 6C > 6D >; 1) 623D > 6C > 6D > 6B > 623B > 6C > 6D > 623D > 6C > 214C or 2) 623D > 6C > 6D > 623D > 6C > 214C.
  9. Question. Is there a different way of finishing 6C->6D corner loop without the Superjump j.2c?
  10. I wouldn't take that Tier List too seriously. I strongly doubt Hazama is low tier, looking at his changes. I two things I thought made him great was Chains and Jayaku. Chains have been improved and Jayaku has been untouched. Plus, this new Arakune seems to be based around resets and the like. It's the sort of thing that would get people who are not used to them, and yet, worse against someone who knows what they're doing. Kinda like all resets really. Still, this looks good. Thanks for the videos Mumm-Ra.
  11. Soo...Air combos are going to be e.g. 4D-D -> j.cx2 - > JC -> j.cx5 -> j.214B? Suppose it's not that bad. It's only 3 hits less I suppose. Still this looks good. The two reason why I personally considered Hazama S Tier in the last one is because of A) Safe Approaches and B) Jayaku. Zoning has been improved and Jayaku is pretty much the same. I have high hopes. So, Arakune, Hazama and Jin all look great so far. Tier-Whoring FTW! If only Tsubaki didn't suck.
  12. How do you do DP reliably? I just can't do it. I try doing 623, but 2D always comes out. And if I try doing 626, it always to slow to counteract anything, cause I have to go 3/463236C/D. Jin's my first character where I have to use DPs and it is really getting on my nerves. It's fucking embarrassing doing 2Ds at close range. And every time I mess up a DP, I either drop a combo or get counter hit.
  13. Question please. How exactly do you 'bait' an Inferno Divider when they're cursed? I try faking doing attacks, but it must seem so obvious, as they only do the DP when I actually attack. Any tips or movements that make good DP bait? I'd try to watch videos of Inferno Divider baits, but almost all the Arakune Vs Ragna vids are of either Arakune losing or the Ragna never does DP. Obviously because the Arakune will bait it, but that doesn't exactly help me in finding out how to.
  14. I never quite understood why people hate Brawl eithe---*trip*.
  15. Why not? If your opponent came up to you before a fight and said; "Right, I'm going to do only certain moves. I'm going to do my distortions obviously and slowly. I'm going to do low damage combos. I'm going to barrier block only. I won't burst. On the plus side, DPs are easier to do. Deal?" Me: "Err...yeah, okay. (FREEFREEFREEFREEFREE). Banning people from playing Beginner Mode is like banning every character except Litchi and Bang because they are not playing at the most optimal setting.
  16. Oh wait, you're totally right. Litchi is shit. What was I thinking? Also, how does IAD'ing her normals a problem exclusively to Litchi? Bang, Hazama, Hakumen and every other character many moves that can be punished, many of them by IAD. You act like just because Litchi's attacks aren't omnipotent, that means they're terrible. And lol at lack of staffless DP. Bang only has a 50% reversal. Hazama only has a 50% reversal. Hakumen has no reversal, only counters Taokaka, 50% heat. Arakune, 50% heat. Valkenhayn, 50% heat. Tsubaki might as well not have a reversal. Jin has terrible non-heat reversals. Tager has 50% reversal. I could go on. The point is, Litchi is lucky to actually have a DP (and a great one it is at that), even if it's with the staff. And you act like "oh, 5B is Litchi's only reliable jump cancel move from a distence", Litchi is amazing to actually hit at that distence at all. The range of her staff attacks far surpass anything most characters have. Besides, most of what I said was just exaggerated to make Bang look bad. When there's an obvious joke near the end, you shouldn't be so ready to go on the defensive. Get it? It was a joke. jesus.
  17. So basically, mash as hard as I can, while making sure I'm ready to hold back when I do tech. Alright, thanks Dacid.
  18. Nah. Not naturally anyway. Litchi has a fantastic moveset. The only thing that actually makes Litchi uniquely difficult is execution. She doesn't have to worry about pressure, oki, approaching, zoning or starting combos. Carl players deserve more respect, tbh. Then again, when you put Litchi in comparsion to Bang, yeah. Litchi players deserve respect.
  19. Looks like I picked the right time to start tierwhoring Jin. Lol. So with 623D nerfed, where will Jin's main source of damage come from now?
  20. So I was missing something. Eyes. Sorry, yeah. That makes sense. -_-
  21. 5a > 2a > 5a > 6a > 2b > 2a > 5a > 6b What's the point of that when you can just 6A -> 5D. Or am I missing something?
  22. Half the Ragnas I face, I end up eating combos that go blue and tell me I could of teched multiple times. It happens often during his ground to air combo, but it also happens after a ID wallbounce into 5B. I press the button as fast as I can. And yet I rarely recover in the air. Maybe my fast isn't very good. But it's just irritating eating an extra 2-3k even though I can tech multiple hits in a row. Is it basically, tap as fast as you can, or is it recommended to time it before it hits? Or do you use a certain button (pad particulary).
  23. I don't see the gatlings too much of a difference. I imagine 6B will be useful though. But I'm probably wrong. Still, isn't using j.B going to be pretty bad now considering how slow the jump is? They have all the time in the world to do an Anti-Air. 5B Unblockable would be pretty badass.
  24. So we got to go on the offense with reduced attack and defense options? Great. Litchi is going to be fun.
  25. Depends on the starter and system though...just because he can might not make it practical. Plus, with the nerfs to pre-curse, we'll be lucky to actually curse them in the first place. But yeah, recurse is sexy, nonetheless. EDIT: Theoretically, in what situations will the Fast but Shorter cloud be useful? Against Zoners?
