  4. Nah, I still won't stand a chance, I'm crazy rusty. And plus I'm trying to pick up new characters which, we'll see how that goes. As for the tier list I guess you'll just have to............................................ C......for yourself.
  5. Would be delighted to see what you have to say on the skank. Bitch has been trouble ever since CS vanilla. Getting used to Hakumen's new loop....on a fight stick. Can't imagine what kind of nightmare this combo must be on netplay.

  7. Finally got my hands on the game, want to get into learning Azrael....but damn, I did not think this guy was an execution heavy character. Or rather, more execution heavy than I'm used to.
  8. Why would they make changes to something that actually, desperately needs it when they could just nerf Zanshin some more? Agreed, if my opponent got caught in that thing I want them to have ample time to facepalm.
  9. I don't have a lot CP Hakumen experience as I'm still waiting for it to come to the consoles here, sooo. What does all of this mean? Can we still chain an OD combo with his air grab? Less meter gain in the air seems like an odd change too, was it that big of a deal? 6D change was rather pointless. Less recovery, but still not 1F startup. Yaaaaay. Agito chain from a j.D is cool I guess. Agito lost some usefulness in terms of pressure from my understanding, which seems like its job besides being a combo ender. Not really understanding these changes :/
  10. Interesting...I guess all it comes down to is actually getting my hands on him. His OD at the very least looks entertaining. It'll also be new for me, because it's practically a Haku-install (outside of Mugen which was mostly useless of course), which I'm not used to playing a character that legitimately use one.

Hey all, you may or may not recognize me, but I wanted to say I'm not really new, I've just been dodging in and out about Hakumen info for awhile; and since CP is around two months away now I've been looking into it a bit more and trying to shake off the rust. Plus a friend of mine and his gf chipped in to buy me a real nice fight stick, a Q4 I believe. So if you guys have advice or a good source of learning about how to use fight sticks well, lemme know. But anyways I've been trying to map out how Hakumen plays now. From what I've seen of pros now, and what the very little I've seen you guys discuss, it looks like Hakumen has a much more capable offense now. His usual corner carry combo that has been with him since CT has now been replaced with a loop of some kind. Still carries them, but not as well. His OD combos look crazy, and are a great way to seal a victory if given the right opportunity, which can be as simple as a damn grab. I also remember his counters taking a(nother) hit in terms of usefulness when info was being revealed during loketests. Like 6D losing 1 frame activation, which is messed up. I think someone here said fighting Litchi is really going to hurt in that respect. And I got a friend who loves using her and uses her well, so I'm sure that'll be fun for me -_- Just wanted to know what you guys who have been paying attention to him the whole time think about him, and where he's at in the game. I hear he's one of the top tier characters, but then that was a few months ago.

  13. This. They always say they're improving it for each iteration but, alas I will forever be cursing the netcode for my lack of skiiiiii- I mean, how much everyone else sucks. Also I've tried to BB it up on a PS3 controller. IT'S NOT THE SAME!
  14. Well no shit, but I'd still like the opinion of people who've gotten their hands on him since we're still relatively far off from a console release here, and I can't exactly travel. I wasn't asking Spark for an end all, be all answer or anything.
  15. I'd kind of like the option to 6D meaty overheads on wake up again, I wouldn't be too concerned with the damage I got off of it.
  16. 2D still works as I've seen Spark do, but would it tip the scales too much to give us back 6D on 1f activation?

  20. My question is, is he FUN to play? I wouldn't care if he is middle-low tier, if he's a blast to play it's worth it. CS1 is one of his strongest iterations, but he wasn't as much fun to play as.

  23. If someone blocks your Agito, what do you follow up with in order to land saftely, or stay on the offensive? j.B or j.2C to follow up after Agito to keep the pressure on. Makoto had time to put frames into some attack, otherwise it wouldn't be a counter right? My tick throws were usually never counters. Maybe he just delayed the counter a tad more than usual.
  24. j.B seems to be a pretty reliable way of following up with Agito pressure. Not sure how safe it is to attack after Agito though, I don't know what it is on block.
  25. I was thinking about this, and now people have almost no reason to repsect our wake-up anymore. The only thing standing in the way of us becoming as terrible at wake up as Barkenhayn is Yukikaze. Didn't j.D also take a hit? Like it can't be activated right away? I'm digging his meter gain though, he'll definitely be a lot more engaging to play as now. Oh, has anyone been seeing people use CT to actually break through guards? Or do people usually have too much barrier for that to happen? With his increased meter potential, he could stand to use it more than the rest of the cast.
