Ranked IS full of a scrubs, but it doesn't make a difference when actions are a second behind my input. I also did try specifying. The game just didn't give me anything...
-
So....I think I'm pretty much done attempting Ranked Matches. Everything I get is so lag-filled I can't function. I don't know if Yukiko is hit especially hard from lag, or if that's the excuse I use when I lose. But I swear, I can't do it. I lost to damn near everything, and I don't feel like a complete novice anymore, I know I can beat these idiots.

Mori has at least noted that he wants CP to be a faster game, right? He knows people like combos but, he doesn't want them to last forever. Like I said, it's the first loketest, of which I'm sure there will be like 4. So There's time to make Hakumen not shit, and to hopefully see some use in his counters. Better yet, make everyone broken. And when everyone is broken!... hahahaha!... No one will be...

Oh yay. I get to try and shut out more rushdown zombies.

Saw a video review on GT for BBCT, and I took a gamble and bought it. It became my first fighter that I took seriously. Started as Scrubna, was terrible until at some point I thought this 7-foot, samurai-robot with a body-length sword as a weapon was pretty cool. He's been my main ever since. Dabbled in others as you can see below... Hmmm...I really should take Jin off that...

I can give some insight into netplay Ziodyne spammers. Like blakmaphia said, she can out-zone us. Ziodyne fills the screen (with a little start-up) instantaneously, our stuff takes some time. A good spot to be in mid-long range, basically just within 236B range. Agi stops this bitch in her tracks, and this its also fast enough to not only stop them, but take a chunk out of their persona. If you are on opposite sides of the screen and you feel like your Yomi powers are sharp, Dia can take Ziodyne's brunt. But a good thing to do is, if you do predict it, double jump above it and send Sakuya over to distract her. But it really is optimal to keep her at mid range, not too close though, because her B moves have some nasty reach.

Any good follow-ups to hitting him with any of the 2B variants?
-
*sigh* Honestly, now I'm just on a losing streak on everybody and it feels like people playing brain-dead offense characters get the one up one someone who's thinking a bit more about how they're going to shut them out. But then again this just could be my frustrations talking.
-
Okay, so I see a good way to apply pressure from across the screen is sending Sakuya out, usually via 3D. My question is: When to throw this out? What to follow up with? Should any attack be preceding it?
-
Fucking running into Yosuke's all over the damn place. They just swoop right in by sliding on the ground. Apparently that's invincible to Maragi. I'm still figuring out when I can and can't throw out things after attacks are done. Like for pressure, you send Sakuya out with 3D but after that, I don't know what I'm safely allowed to do. Either way, Yosuke's are really getting under my damn skin.

[CP] News & Gameplay Discussion (Old)
Warhound replied to kosmos badgirl's topic in BlazBlue Gameplay
I was looking through previous posts, and you guys were discussing combo length. And it reminded me of how much I hated fighting good vanilla CS Litchis: One hit = 4k+ damage, corner carry, followed by corner rape. Never payed attention to PSR, or any online ranking system. You could easily be fighting a pro who started a new account for lolz just as much as an actual newb. Or like Mac said, you could be losing against a really good player all the time. -
My typo would say otherwise, but, no he doesn't need a command grab. I was really pulling for Agito to add something fresh to his gameplay. If the following loketests don't show us anything, then that's going to be a serious downer. The idea of a comboable cross-up sounds great, and I highly doubt the very obvious terribleness of this new move will be overlooked. Just...waitin' for next loketest.
-
I am racking my fucking brain, trying to comprehend how this is, in any way shape or form, more approachable than BlazBlue. There may be less of a move set than BB, but my god, the combos are exponentially more difficult for me to perform. Mitsuru's No.23 combo is utterly, kicking my ass.
-
*sigh* That typo literally ruined the entirety of my post... Anyways, is there any idea when the next loketest is suppose to occur?
-
lol wow I'm sorry, I made a hell of a typo. We DON'T need a command grab. Tick throw is enough.
-
The drives have nothing to do with pressure, it's a tool to keep people from getting predictable. And besides that the risk/reward is terrible against a good player. j.C is straight up zoning and corner carry. He has a pressure game, but it's still lacking without even one magatama. I can't think of an instance where both players are on the ground and you can just hop right without them trying something. If you don't land in on them from a j.B or something (which against some characters that's not even an option) you have to hop, or most likely, Kishuu in. We don't have Ragna's lol5b to rush in with, most of the time I see 4C > Gurren > Kishuu. From that point, without meter you can: 1. jab 2. hit confrim a 2B 3. tick throw 4. annoy with 6B Without some meter, we can't get in a hop Tsubaki, or even a hop Hotaru to stop some funny business. Best thing we got is tick throw, which is why I agree a command grab is really needed.

[CP] News & Gameplay Discussion (Old)
Warhound replied to kosmos badgirl's topic in BlazBlue Gameplay
I never had an option other THAN online play. I tried to get my friends into it, but they're all ass and don't put any time into it. And one of my friends is so bad at fighting games he couldn't even complete Jin's horrendously basic combos. It was like 4 hits if I'm correct. Then the online itself always had at least some lag to it, so I could never feel fully invested in it, especially as Hakumen, when you really can't afford lag. Always had to play with a friend white chatting to tell him the reason I was randomly sucking. Just got sick of it, hopefully CP has CT's netcode. -
I don't know how you Mitsu players do it. I can't charge for a damn.
-
Huh...that's...not really something I took advantage of. Thank you.
-
Yeah, I guess so. Personally I want to see Haku's CT 6B again. So what if it wasn't an overhead, taking that away would just make his mix-up game less annoying, not really "weaker". It stuffed lows, and most importantly just looked so intense.
-
If agito doesn't have overhead properties then they basically just gave us Hazama's j.214b....except it costs meter

Xie's Laboratory - P4A Gameplay Video Q&A Thread
Warhound replied to Xie's topic in P4:Arena Gameplay
Does anyone actually use All Out Attacks in practical gameplay? Of all the Japanese players I see fighting each other, I never see a single one being pulled off. I know they can be used for mix-up, but damn I never see it happen. -
Still no one has explained the different buffer systems to me -_-
-
Also could you expand upon the buffering system? I guess I never got a full explanation about what it truly means. If I recall correctly BBCT to BBCS had a buffering system change, I think. Which is why it was tough for me to pull of a hop hotaru for the longest time.
-
What's with this all-out-rush crap? I can't mash out buttons this fast without using both thumbs or risking carpal tunnel. At least I can't get the max buttons out and get that corner bounce >_<
