  4. another item of note: strider has 2 level three supers... regular melee lvl 3 and his oroborus (calls two little robots that circle him and shoot projectiles straight forward whenever he attacks)
  5. hawkeye v taskmaster hawkeye loses the sword and shield as well as the spidy swing and picks up trick arrows. i also doubt he will have the charge mechanic that task does for his arrows. (HE ALSO HAS A LEVEL THREE THAT INCLUDES ANT MAN!!!!!) type of arrows seen in the video are: lightning poison ice bolo? triple (guessing more damage but no effects) ant-man arrow (lvl 3) he also has a different super set, well kind of. he has the air arrow which is similar to tasks but also has a super where he shoots a volley of bomb arrows into the air that hit the entire ground OTG after some delay (so it seems). oh, and did i mention he shoots ant man on an arrow!?
  6. lol story in a capcom fighting game... there are indeed 8 more stages and it has been mentioned that some balancing is going to happen. how that manifests itself is unknown currently, though. spectator mode? probably hanging out with megaman! (Q .\ /.)=O)x_x)/
  7. i agree... just glad its only going to be $40 instead of full price... kind of see it like CT -> CS im not sure if im going to end up getting it, i probably will but SF3 3SO comes out before then so i may end up with that and skullgirls when it comes out.

  9. man thank god oroboros is level three, lol i dont want to deal with that st*t! most of the variation on x-factor came in the speed category, while damage did vary, anyone with level three would do more than firebrand does with his normals. yes, mvc2 was broken, but broken in different ways. between x-factor and the DHC glitch (which i hope to god they changed) everyone pretty much has a touch of death. well... i guess mvc2 had much easier infinites so.... oh well, i just dont want wesker killing haggar in 5 hits anymore, that pisses me off!
  10. lol with as broken as MvC3 is, no its not too early for this... lvl 3 x-factor doesnt seem as scary as it does currently. in the firebrand v hawkeye vid firebrand uses it at the end and his normals arnt doing insane amounts of damage. (his level three looks annoying as hell though!) have to say, i love hawkeyes level 3, gogo ant man!!! lol dont get trolled george, i would take those with a grain of salt... dont they already have a virgil costume for dante anyway?

  12. http://www.amazon.com/Ultimate-Marvel-Capcom-microsoft-xbox-360/dp/B005C7R8I8/ref=sr_1_4?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1311178968&sr=1-4 total of 12 new characters coming, 4 have been revealed. unspecified balancing, but the video on amazon does show new moves by old players 4 new chars so far are Strider hawkeye ghost rider firebrand (gargoyle's quest/enemy from ghosts and goblins) so far seems all buy strider are zone chars. ghost rider has a near full screen chain(thinking like axle maybe...) firebrand has the ability to shoot fireballs, but dont know how good they will be. hawkeye is... well hawkeye... it will be interesting to see how they separate him from taskmaster... other changes. in one of the videos below firebrand x-factors in the air... yippie >_<
  13. i cant stand the lot of you! (joking) but you should name the boards Fight Science: Arakune Fight Science: Bang etc etc. as far as VC after GF... maybe once as a mind game, but if you actually try this often you are going to get smashed hard for it. just look at the options... back dash, block, jump, attack, special move, super. VC loses to back dash, block, jump, some attacks, some special moves. i know that some people get up jabbing but if they see you do VC you better hope you can finish your 720 before they can switch to 2a
  14. ^ THIS the only upside ive seen to the game so far is its finally a capcom game without a revenge mechanic (at least they havent shown it yet... im sure it will be there somewhere...) *also im going to be picky and tell you your character listings are wrong, ken appeared in the original Street Fighter arcade game as player two.

  19. Ahh sorry i kinda dropped trying to get a meetup organized, between the snow and the fact ive been super busy the past month or so i havent had time to do much about it. things look to be warming/clearing up a bit though and id like to get another meetup sometime soon.

  22. its less of a problem unless the rachel forks you, or cat chars you, or any other not projectile attack... havent seen the other two vids you posted, but in the first one it only worked because she did lobelia to pumpkin, if she had done any regular move id bet hammer would have lost to it.
  23. i guess what im trying to say is that the only way to make up for the ease that pretty much everyone of the cast has at zoning tager is to make him do insane damage, which wouldnt be appreciated by anyone. that said, i think the only real way to improve tager is to give him better approach options. be in improving spark, improving sledge, a double jump, or whatever. the other option is to improve his ability to keep someone close once he finally does close in. but back on topic. views about tager in cs2 i agree we didnt get much to brag about, the GF giving heat is probably the best thing we got... the hammer armor would be awesome if it wasnt just projectiles... i think the new 6a could be useful, but mainly to condition your opponent to sweep you then hit them with a 360a. other than that, we didnt get much!
  24. my dmg vs his dmg isnt a helpful comparison, what it really boils down to is the comparison of the ratios my dmg:his life vs his dmg:my life, aka how many combos do i need to do to kill him. yes our comparison is still much better than most of the cast but you also need to consider how difficult it is for a character to actually get a combo off. tager doing 3.5k/combo needs 3 to kill most the cast not factoring sub optimal combos footsies damage or bursting. unfortunately a lot of tagers guessing ends up being a guess on how to advance a little on an enemy. so your outcomes are A) be closer but still not close enough to do anything or B) take damage. a lot of the characters make you play this style of guess multiple times and if you guess wrong once you are back where you started. the reason i say that tagers damage relative to the damage done by the rest of the cast is irrelevant is that even if you can kill anyone in two combos, if you only ever get one combo off, no mater how much more damage you do per combo than them, you cannot win. this is why zoning is tagers biggest enemy. i would completely agree with you if every guess resulted in us taking damage or them taking damage, but it doesnt. the things that matter for tager doing damage are A) how many times can tager touch the opponent and B) how much life do they have compared to the damage that tager can do.
