Mmm, one thing id say is try not to auto pilot 6c to AC specially when the 6b is blocked. also, stop wasting your spark bolts... you seem to shoot them as soon as you can and they almost always get blocked/dodged. the threat of a possible spark bolt puts you in a much better position than a few seconds of mag, usually.

the best is when you get to do them mid screen because the other guy keeps forward teching at you... bless my dumb, unlearning opponents...

and a million full screen sledges vs /\...

the major reason why you will not lose to beginner mode is that it is way predictable. the person has one button for *attack* and if they mash it they get the same combo over and over again. makes it very easy to know when to reversal it.

i love the in the corner 6C xx MTW. so many people burst the 6C (was more fun in CT when they took more dmg for bursting but its still a good'n) also after MTW you have them cornered and that gives you good options. 2b xx AC is a nice reset that works most the time if they are magnatized, also you can 5b xx spark xx 5c 6a xx AC sometimes depending on spacing and opponent. (this last one is easier after they burst because it resets the combo, i havent really done enough research on it yet but i know depending on the leading combo sometimes they can tech between the 5C and the 6A)

a gate on a stick is a piece of plastic in the bottom of it that restricts the sticks movements. if you are using a JP stick, you more than likely have a square gate (if you go to a diagonal you will catch a corner), if you are using a US stick, you more than likely have a circle gate (you can spin the thing 360 and it will be a smooth ride). there are also octagonal gates that you can get for a jp stick if you really want one. (heres a picture or one) joystick gate you should get comfortable doing 360s from any position if you really want to capitalize on them, if nothing else just go to training mode and practice practice practice those "what!?"s

ummm... id say just keep beating on him until he decides to get out, the longer he stays there the more heat you get, even if you arnt doing damage he's giving you the potential to do more in the future with that heat! also... gadget finger him, force him to his feet... i know its not great v those DPs.. so maybe end him off with a 2d to get him away where he will tech and still get some good mag on him... probably wrong here... im sure axis will bullet point out a list of why i should shut up T_T (and he'd be right!)

i think the primers are a significant change, if most people are down to 5 now, one burst and youre at 2, thats pretty easy to break. so that means people are going to drain their barrier keeping from getting broken, bringing danger back into play or get guard crushed which will lead to much more painful combos. the no proration helps everyone and the no grab tech makes tager breaking a guard worthwhile! (i was so sad the first time i got purple !!s grabbing off of guard crush in CS!) i like that it brings the to burst or not to burst mentality from CT back to a degree (not as bad as it was in CT though, thank god) because bursting puts you in a scarier position (and double bursting will leave everyone at 1 primer except tager who gets to keep 2)

@runis: the one reason to tech at some point in a tager combo is to avoid gadget finger, its up to you if you want to be in this position or not, but if you are willing to sit there and get blue beat you are going to be mag'd at the very least by the time its over. also... last i checked if you get hit by MTW youre in it for the duration... never heard of anyone teching out mid super... with terra-break its a min 1430 dmg, not a ton, but every bit counts.. right?

tagers combos are longer and do less damage!!! woo! also, some more characters have better zoning tools (see hakuman and jin) and two of the three new characters in CS were basically keep aways (mu and hazama) so a larger portion of the cast plays more footsies instead of going in for the big beefy combos, which makes the rounds take longer. Some characters got combo extenders (tao's longer taunt loop, beliel edge, space loop) which make the combos take longer (okay tao's already took a while, but sitting for that many taunt repeats seems to take forever...) (tao's taunt loop did get longer didnt it? or does it just seem like it to me?) -
it does hit high, were you ducking?

full screen in a quarter second? yea id be down for that! but really, if they are upping the mag on 4d and dropping it on 5d maybe they are just trying to mix up the way tager plays.... -

im interested in seeing how Tagers 5d only pulling during active frames will work out. it might end up making the move safer as a poke. would negate people using the start up pull to get in with a hit before the move actually comes out. combined with that and increased mag pull in general i could see it not being too much of a nerf. -

it said it still takes bar, and yea, my first reaction when i see a super flash is to not attack, making the lack thereof a buff to a counter super imo. before it was worthless unless you could catch someone with an attack already out (well it still will be mostly but you might be able to catch some more people with it...) -
after watching a couple of the videos... pink throws!! get out of the corner when you can.

^ can you share some of those said 7k followups with us? connecting with the last hit of MTW is something i find happens a lot but ive never been able to do much off of it (unless in a corner) one mtw thing ive found is corner only 5b >> bolt >> 5c >> 6a >> AC. only works if you do the MTW early in the combo otherwise they can tech out and the 5c hits at max range after they bounce off the wall past you. the really nice part of this is it leaves them in the corner. (if someone wants to test this out thatd be great, im pretty sure it works but im not positive and im at work all day, if not ill test it when i get home tonight)
