  1. Hahah I agree with that actually. If you never do it and play really solid for extended periods of time and then just randomly do it on wake up every now and then, it'll scare people into baiting. The best thing ever is when they try to bait a wake up and you act like you're gonna do the super and as you get up with them blocking, you just throw them. Shitty super gives you wake up pressure when you get knocked down! >_< But yeah for combos, do you guys usually do 2K 2H BBU after a CH Mappa or do you just do BBU straight up? I usually go for 2K 2H because the timing is easier but I think I wanna work straight BBU in for less proration.
  2. Both suck and you could do something better in most situations. But if you must...it depends on the character you're fighting. If it's someone like HOS who has shorter ranged pokes, dandy P is good enough for the job. I mainly use dandy to force a whiff and get a free punish, so basically use P if you think they'll use a short range poke and K if you think they'll do a wide one. If you wanna do dandy FRC 2H fakes, P dandy is the way to go. For feinting into throw, I'd imagine up close, P dandy is faster since it recovers and gives them less time to react. K dandy slides you forward more though so you could use it at range for a throw setup. But generally most dandy step stuff is pretty low level. I would avoid using it and opt for solid poking and defense into knockdowns and rush/mix-ups. I guess in certain matches it has it's place but it's generally not that great of a move and good players can punish it almost 100% of the time. BBU another slayer if they try to dandy step you. It's free.
  3. are you guys HATING ON THE LEGENDARY BOSS.SLAYER TACTIC?! yeah......I feel like a scrub every time I do that super. Even though it hits like every time if you use it sparingly. Like if there's a limb over you on wake up, flying headbutt them in the nuts.
  4. Nawt mine, I still go there all the time.
  5. Hmm, what's Xpadder? Never heard of it.
  6. Well, that worked. Now I have to figure out how to get it to read PS2->USB converter inputs...hmm..
  7. So what do you guys play this on? I'm trying to get mame to work but the shit doesn't even seem to have a button config >_< I can still keyboard mash my way to victory though.
  8. I used to play this all the time when I was younger, I've got it for the DC, shit still works too. I was waiting for people to maybe pick it up one day so now I gotta get back into it. There's so many fun characters to play in this game.
  9. Well, even if the game sucks, we know it has an awesome soundtrack now. ^_^ Here's hoping in the next 2D game, Valentine, Paradigm, Izuna, Raven, and "that man" are all playable.
  10. This is random but Slayer's dandy step K beats out Dead on Time. I was doing dandy step and a guy activated DOT as I started dandy K and it beat it out. We were both like O_O Ahh.....stupid slayer moments.
  11. If the shoe fits, wear it. AKA if people fuck up, kill them for it. If they don't fuck up, don't do it >_<
  12. If they whiff the throw, I just come back down with a j.H. You can also do that and come back down on them for pressure but if you're predictable with it, might wanna mix it up with IAD out so they have to guess.
  13. Damn that was amazing, good work on that. The editing was great on all of it, especially the second part.
  14. 2P only works if they space / time it wrong. Which most sols don't time it perfectly. The only 100% safe options is 1 frame jump FD out.
  15. Backdash / Block. Don't try to hit him out of that stuff. Just look for a command throw setup and attack when he runs out of momentum. He can't FRC all day. If he gunflames with no meter, IAD over it and j.H for free CH.
  16. Nothing wrong with being aggressive if he can make it work. Which he does.
  17. mac and cheese combos are like bread and butter combos, only more delicious.
  18. GUARD CRUSH IS DEAD JUST LET HER GO MAN! acceptance is the first step to recovery.
  19. That mappa punch ->K x3 into air combo shit was sick. That's the ONE thing I still have trouble doing with Slayer. I need to work on that.
  20. Doesn't make sense to me either. I know everyone in my area is playing the game, atleast.
  21. We should make an Arcana sub forum. No one ever goes to guardcrush anymore.
  22. Yeah I use Tsubasa occasionally, Best to save it for when you have 100% meter though because you can atleast RC it and be safe if they somehow block it. Plus on CH you get nice combos with mappa ^_^
  23. Can't really teach you till I figure it out myself, lol.
  24. That music in the beginning was creepy. Work on your combos. Stop dropping 6K -> 2K. That'd would help you out a lot. Don't approach zappa when he has the dog out unless he's recently done an attack. Let Zappa come to you as attacking him as the dog sits there is entirely free damage. You just have to hit him with SOMETHING be it a throw, a random 6K, mappa when it's unexpected, etc etc. You rmain priority when the dog appears should be to tap zappa to get rid of it though. Play safer when it's around too. As for the other two summons, get inside and stay inside. If he gets you out, work you way in slowly and don't get impatient. Zappa is an easy character to deconstruct. You just have to realize there's nothing to fear at range as long as you block. When Roau comes out, block a lot, zone with 2H, bait his upper but with jump -> FD, be wary of half screen low and his overhead and he can't do much to you. If he's summonless, try to bait his reversal summon and punish accordingly. The last thing you want to do is get hit by the summon because that means he gets raou quicker. Overall, mix up your attacks more, be more agressive when you can, don't throw away the initiative, AND STOP DROPPING COMBOS. You could just ask me for tips at the next gathering, lol.
  25. Is that like the very first frames of start up or are you vulnerable at all in the beginning? And Boss, yeah, I know what you mean on that being the only way to punish. Sometimes someone will be open down below after throwing out a poke or whatever and the air super is the only way you can get down there in time to hit them, so you just gotta do it, lol. It always looks scrubby but I've done it in the past too and it's never failed me. I remember one time I got hit by HOS's level 1 uppercut and he did an action charge, and I had time to tech out and do Slayer's air super before he could recover. Dude was pissed.
