  1. I'm just AFK / playing games a lot, I should start messaging you first when I'm around, lol. How goes your quest for slayer domination? And yes, we have a lot of people at our gatherings and like 2-3 GG setups usually so it gets pretty loud >_<
  2. Recent NC ranbats I won videos got put up, here's me vs. titanium beast's HOS. Should have more up tomorrow. Lemme know how it looks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Ts14EDph8g
  3. But only if you're close to him. Gotta make sure it passes under you. At range you just kinda sit on the beast and look like a fucktard.
  4. Troof! As far as mix ups go, if you're somehow facing someone that can deal with Slayer's 4 way mix up perfectly on wake up, which I've never ran into, generally that person is so focused on what level to block that a throw setup is pretty easy to land. But generally on wake up 2K 6K or dash through 2K or 6K does wonders. Depending on how much time you have you can dash through multiple times, but especially vs. people that like to uppercut, dashing through can fuck up their inputs. Once people start getting bitten a lot, they're blocking on wake up will start to become less than perfect because they begin to doubt themselves.
  5. Actually yeah I feinted 6K into a throw for the killing blow in the recent ranbats finals here vs. Baiken. I wouldn't use them a lot but if Baiken is just sitting there looking for the counter, I don't see why not to give yourself a better chance of hitting. Couple of things I noticed vs her: Walk forward and block. Keep doing it until your close. Poke with 5K to bait counters, if they like to do Ouren, 5K then jump back and air throw or j.H for a CH. If you jump in, do j.H low to the ground so you can land and block the P counter in time. Mix in healthy doses of jump in throws, dash in throws, walk up throws, air throw, etc etc etc. Lots of throwing. Eventually you'll force them to start poking at you, and slayer wins that game. Also 2S can be used to anti air her j.H early, but don't do it after she's already stuck it out right above your head, because of the angle, she can just avoid the anti air by then. Also work on your light characters combos. The j.k j.D link is extremely important to know in this fight.
  6. lol, really?
  7. Justin Wong is immune to your petty gimmicks. Justin Wong does BIG C uppercut into fever on block. How awesome is that?
  8. First hit mix ups are the most important thing in this fight. Mix with a healthy does of bite and be prepared to block and punish any and every counter. Record counters in training mode and see what you can do vs. each, it helps a lot.
  9. You guys don't like undertow? It's awesome vs. 1 hit poke characters. Shit will beat out hammerfall, exe beasts, slayer pokes, faust pokes, gives you frame advantage, ground bounce on CH. It's not spammable but I kinda like using it.
  10. I rush this fight down, hardcore. If you can get inside, stay in there and don't ever give him an inch to breath. If he tries to jump out, chase him. If he's gonna counter, predict that shit and punish. FD 6K, or just beat it out with j.H. Dandy through EXE beasts, or back dash through them and IAD. Pressure is the key to victory, IMO.
  11. I'm pretty sure invincibility only carries over through backdash into moves. Forward dash does have invincibility but the moment you cancel it, it goes away. If it did carry over, forward dash into bite would be broken, lol.
  12. Yeah I only run into raou if I'm being lazy and walking into ghost projectiles all day or he has a lot of meter and gets summon RC summon RC summon off or something. But Raou is really straight forward, you just have to react and be alert. It's only 15 seconds then it's back to fighting shitty old zappa again.
  13. Yeah, you're not allowed to make mistakes in this fight. Good Zappa's pretty much will do 100% combos on you with raoh from any hit. I've had it happen to me when I had tons of health and got cocky. Don't let it happen to you! Uppercut is super unsafe though. Generally when fighting Raoh I use 2H to zone him and try to go over his long range lows, BBU vs his fireballs and jump in, and try to make him do an uppercut so I can block it and kill him. Zappa rarely gets raoh when he's not on the verge of death so it basically just turns into sudden death for both of you once raoh is out.
  14. Just look for pot in the going-to-plant-my-face pose and input DOT. You're not grounded when doing it so no worry of getting slide headed unless you're slow and he hits you out of the start up. My trick for DOT hunting is to do half circle back motions randomly and if I see the opening, just press forward and S. It's probably the easiest way to do it at any moment.
  15. That's when you bust out the secret technique of the anti cross up 100% eternal wings and enter 236236 and 214214 really fast and then hit heavy. One of em has to work! Boss is the eternal wings master though, we should all ask him Oh btw on a more useful note, I noticed j.H counterhits Eddie's 2H if you throw it out early, even from high up.
  16. Well it would just be a matter of anticipating and switching up your inputs. Same would apply for backdash or dandy. IMO it's better to go for SOMETHING though. You're gonna get hit anyway, so why not.
  17. Well played sir, well played. I know a 3rd and totally awesome way out of the puddle. ETERNAL WINGS. Yeah it works. Yeah it's scrubby. But hey, puddle into combo or chance of blocked eternal wings into combo which probably doesn't hurt as bad and can potentially be dropped. Or there's the chance it'll maybe hit. Yeah... btw what do you guys use to get rid of little eddie once he's out? 2H is nice but you end up stomping a drill half the time.
  18. Late j.H has instant recovery on landing. Use it on wake up. Then when they backdash, do something meaty and punish the fuck out of him for backdashing.
  19. Ahh cool, I didn't know the timing for moves was bigger than the timing for backdashes. That explains why it's so easy to uppercut but so much harder to backdash out of things.
  20. Something I've been doing a lot of lately is backdashing at times when I expect an H EXE beast and if I see it, jump up and IAD over it to get in, and sometimes get a hit if you're really fast. If you see 6K you can cancel the backdash into Mappa for a free hit as well, since 6K is slow to recover if it isn't canceled into another attack. Generally I see those 2 moves the most in neutral situations so it's good to use backdash and keep an eye out for either of those.
  21. You can definitely BDC jump out of the puddle unblockable. I've never thought of wake up dandy, but, how is the timing easier than the backdash, out of curiosity? And what if you're in the corner?
  22. I'm really at a loss for a good strat in this fight. I got a bunch of matches vs. pot this weekend and after getting back dash bustered out of any mix up I tried, I just said fuck it and started mashing 5K from max range. If I got a knockdown I would do late j.H, if it gets blocked, pressure, if they backdash, you have time to punish that. But yeah.....5K is like....the only thing I'm not scared to do in this fight. I'd just try to punish hammerfall, punish whiffed busters, anti air him in the fuck if he jumps, and stay the hell away from him. What are some of those retarded pot combos? I need to learn them so I can kill him when i get those openings.
  23. Atleast in my experience vs. a cross up happy chipp on wakeup, backdashing isn't really the best option, because if he gets on the other side of you while you input a backdash, you'll forward dash which he will hit and get free damage. If they do it close enough to meaty, forward dash definitely doesn't go invulnerable fast enough to get out of anything. I usually just try to block on wakeup vs him since attempting to backdash out of cross ups usually gets me hit. Crimson: Fixed chipp's move list, I totally forgot about 6P and 2D, which are both great moves. Especially 2D which beats like all of slayer's low options. As for PB being better than Mappa......I'm not sure about that. It's unsafe, and mappa can be used as a movement tool too to get to the other side of the screen if you need to chase him down or get away from him when he's above you. PB seems too risky to me, although it does have some uses in this fight. Maybe I just don't like the move that much though. I miss the CH wall bounce. Stupid wall stick.
  24. Backdash and super jump away when you see him try to summon little eddie, you get out for free. Alternatively if you want to be scrubby you can IB the first shadow -K- and then eternal wings, lololol. 1F jumping out is REALLY hard, I'd rely more on backdash. Once he has you though, focus and block. That's about all you can do. Question, will backdash save you from wake up unblockables? Like puddle + j.S or drill + puke unblockables? I gotta fight marn tomorrow so I wanna be ready, lol.
  25. Yeah it has lower body invincibility for a lot of the move. If you do 2H really late though it can beat it out. But yeah, gotta be careful about the low pokes with him, mix in some 5K and what not to keep him honest.
