The problem here i didn't even ever touch Hakumen... and i'm grinding Izayoi quite a bit to get used with her switch side teleport input and then u said playing with character that suit my playstyle it doesn't mean i like the character. though it's probably true Hakumen suit my playstyle better(a lot of blocking and Hit Confirming CH). The problem here i put decent effort to nail down Izayoi BnB and my thumbs got quite swollen because of it and on Hakumen ... i just need to confirm anything into Zan and he already do twice the damage Izayoi can dish anywhere... it's more about idealism ... i have once hit a brick wall and end up locking myself on training room 8 hours a day for 2 months to make it works with Dizzy (got my nail comes off from my thumbs in the process) ... i like the idea of fairy thrashing down big giant cool mech / monster whatever ... and by luck on Blazblue those fairies're rock bottom tier + hard to play. With your advice of Idealism, i'll stay playing Izayoi and at my position Now ... i haven't see any light on Izayoi tunnel (sonic saber, teleport footsie, Gain art mix up... so many things to do) and On Hakumen i already have an idea probably ignorant statement for Hakumen newbies, but his 5c and 2c had really good hit box and nailing ch with it on full magatama + Burst is nowhere near impractical ... and by god sake... i can makes a cup of coffee while i'm hit confirming with it

This topic is just what i need ... i've been playing fg's seriously since 2000 on GGXX#R and playing BB since the 1st installment ... but ever since i'm playing those decent Character (Makoto & Plat) ... get bodied by Ragna, Hazama & Litchi isn't even bother me anymore and i just need to get better to beat them ... so yea i practice a lot till my thumbs bleed once to be able to stand on even ground with them (Player like Goro, Ruu & Konan inspired me a Lot since they seems didn't even care with their character flaw and makes things work) And yesterday i play Izayoi vs Mu12 & Jin ... granted that's my 3rd day playing Izayoi and i'm against veteran player of Jin & Mu ... 2 v 33 win lose ratio isn't that bad right? ... out of frustration i'm picking Hakumen ... and i don't even touch him eversince CT, Only know some stuff he can do since i'm also learning the match up against my other friend who play Hakumen ... and without slightest effort ... i bodied him 13 v 2 ... it isn't because he didn't know the match up ... but holy crap... This event makes me question myself .... is it worthed to play the character i like to win but can't? while there's a character that i don't even like but i can kick ass with them? Any of u guys ever meet this kind of situation? and how did u deal with it?
  3. About reduced hit stop can work double edged... just got my copy yesterday and got problem with hit confirming my combos & buffering input
  4. U got your point there, but i'm not talking about immediate result to convert jabs to tons of damage, but hit confirming random hits into knockdown isn't that hard and then u got your Oki there. U know how brutal Oki games in GG is

What? ... i didn't play sf3 much, but i'do like the parry system in it that makes the game can be played aggressively unlike SFIV ... and missed a SB is a low risk? ... not trying to be a jerk here, but dude if u missed a slashback sometimes it means u throwing a round or most of the times it will cost a good chunk of your lifebar.

  7. Not really that good either With OS, but i can give few tips regarding A.B.A matchup. 1. IAD v ABA is bad generally since she has very strong aa option, substitute IAD with micro dash and double jump. 2. Don't OTG A.B.A in moroha 3. Stay in Mid Range Watch her meter, and fafnir on reaction whenever u catch her spiting blood after Moroha expire 4. haven't actually Play +R but, her 2h supposedly +f on Block... so trying to mash out her 2h pressure is Bad 5. Slashback her 2nd rekka, since unlike Chip, she can't delay the 2nd hit 6. Block low on her Rekka, and gunblaze her UB 7. Knockdown her 3 times on Moroha and hit confirm Fafnir CH/whatever heavy punish afterward That's all for now, and please correct me if there's something wrong with my post
  8. Fafnir, j.H & Dustloop ... easier to play at lower skill level since i can just freestyle lot's of thing, while when playing Sol i feel more limited with flame carpet pressure & setting Wild grab Setup.
  9. Ty I'll keep those in mind, but i still feel the setup too gimicky and less safe than the conservative mid screen k/h fish, i mean normal wake up reversal grab or escape.
  10. +R is a myth Anyway, RK 5D stuffs is unblockable ... Never tried glitch fish oki... but if he didn't delay his wake up didn't your oki get screwed with glitch fish?

  12. I'm not expecting BI to be Yukikaze Level, Kind of Broke on red axe level when u can Yomi and Instant Kill DP with 6k damage. But more like Baiken Guard Cancel, on P4A it does have 5f startup after finished charging... and with 5f startup, if Yuu does blocked Raging Lion, he still can RC and do evasive Manuver.
  13. Curious with this "Brutal impact will activate upon guarding a hit" ... can we treat this super as pseudo houtenjin against mix up(eg Yuu Raging Lion) or destroying other super?
  14. On the contrary, Slayer need to rush in and cannot play defensive on this match, since when the screen is full of Dizzy Projectile, whatever he do, he lost. Dandy Step is very Gimmicky on this match up since Dizzy can react with 5k / backdash on neutral, Mappa on the other hand is very good tool to closing in, in Theory u can beat it with whatever tool you have, but very hard to do on reaction. Anyway on Neutral Slayer actually have slight advantage on this match up since his neutral beat all of yours, specifically his 5k, j.k and j.h. On Defensive option, Backdash and FD is really good, u can backdash the 6k(he can feint it to anticipate your backdash) and FD his other Normal... 2h specifically, it's has enormous pushback. Btw about Superman Super (DOT)... if it blocked/whiffed without frc, u can punish it anywhere on screen.

  16. It does have in game cutscene during Super lol. 2 type of Dust attack Follow up is pretty interesting, and I'm Curious with that Yellow RC that seem had similar function like frc but with very tiny tension cost O_o
  17. In fighting game braindead / gimicky stuff that come out not randomly will get destroyed fast. And throwing a round can actually be double edged... at least for me, i'd seriously got pissed off if the one i go against me throwing match after utterly destroying me... if u both enjoy your activity and you know your opponent is serious, it's better to respect your opponent, if he's practicing regularly, he might have some stuff he would want to try on your next match. Btw, I've have experienced 30>0 and still whining on Dizzy v Slayer match... but still come back to the game. The point is, if your buddy really like the game you don't need to worry about him leaving the scene. And beating people in mirror watch using their character is indeed like a kick on the balls, but try to switch character. Have your buddy play Faust and you play Testament have you show them what their character can do against your character. It actually help me a lot to understand the match up and the tools i have by doing this.
  18. Testament without minefield is like sitting duck on the open field Anyway... Testament is quite similar to Lambda(zoning, traps & guardcrush / Unblockables), any reason why he can't implement Lambda gameplan to Testament? ... unless he's playing rush down Lambda...

Probably need to remove discussion to Makoto Forum, i'm quite certain 3c can destroy all of Jin Dp's and start up isn't an issue here since what u want from 3c is Low profile attribute against Jin Reversal Dp's that come close to the time when u pressing 3c(maybe f5~8 wiki didn't have accurate data of it)?... and mashing 3c? wtf... are u handing your ass on silver platter?

Actually that half second difference can be an issue, but Charge character have different gameplan (always buffering input) to minimize those issue compared non charge character which can be a plus, since when u didn't do anything, charge character always blocking. And it's not "u can plan a head" but "u MUST plan a head" for charge character.
  24. Np, and thanks for the video... And that's a very stylish BI combo finish... thinking about it again, if i ever in that position probably i'll safe my Burst and finish the round with D Moujuu >.>
