  1. I'm not sure what you mean by that. CP has been out for 2 years. it's not really too soon to make some larger changes. not weird by BB standards.
  2. I think it is good to keep things fresh. and I think reducing the bullshit people can do to you should make the game more enjoyable. I think it is more annoying being put into the stuff than it is fun to be able to do it yourself, personally.
  3. Most likely it is a specifically targeted way of weakening his mixup/pressure. lots of chars have been hit with this stuff so I wouldn't be too worried. your pressure will stop being a 1p game but that's true for other chars too. consider it a shift in the game rather than a nerf to your char.

  7. Tweaking this translation a little because it was off and people are talking about it. There's nothing about the characters having lost their concept or individuality, just that they're focusing on that as they make changes. "I'd like to ask in what direction your heading with the 2.0 changes" Kato: This might sound bad, but we don't really emphasize balance that much. If you think too much about the end result, it is hard for characters to have strong concepts and individuality. This time we are making adjustments around those points. We don't like to dictate that a character fights in this particular way, and would like for the players to play around and figure that out for themselves. Mori: "Because Arcsystem focuses on (creating) the characters' indivuality, we aim for an outcome in which the players will play and think it's fun rather than adjusting balance. Doesn't playing S Tier characters, which is how players commonly call the stronger characters, give you a good feeling hahaha.   8. Nah. He did rank the matchups in order of difficulty in 1 tweet some time back. (separate from actual matchup numbers, or favorable or unfavorable.) I don't agree with all of it, just when it suits me.
  9. Yeah, it probably went from 360 to 420, something like that. Or it might be that they shaved 60 off the timer for all combos and it is more noticeable on F.
  10. N-O. he picked up Izayoi some a while ago and trashed the other rachel's over there. he considers it a disadvantageous matchup, with Jin being slightly advantageous for Rachel. Saying 6-4 was a bit of trolling though.
  11. it's funny you say that because loketest already found a 6k+ hazama combo. OD split kick > chain grab thingy > snake bite for 6k. Haku style.
  12. Note that if you hit 4b too high in CP it can be difficult to hit 5c because they tech very high in the air. he separately noted that 4b's untech time seems just as long, unchanged? overall, combos you can do should be simpler. low hit 4b> 5cc will be possible as a result of the gatling.

  16. Yeah I haven't seen any info on lotus at all. but you know, without wind to use with lotus, lotus is rather unattractive.
  17. there's S tiers in every game. EX->CP was a good example of damage being toned down a lot for really most characters. I think the general route taken could make the game a lot better. Part of what they seem to have wanted to do was to make characters more unique.. they mostly seem to have done this by removing things characters can do. combo time on F starters has been nerfed universally
  18. 4 bars of wind taking 16 seconds, for comparison, in CP it takes 7.5 seconds to recover all of your wind. a lily combo seems to recover 2 bars of wind. anyway, no point worrying, it's just a loketest and the first one.
  19. It's insanely obvious that characters have been on the whole tweaked downward. Relative placement after all the nerfs is a completely different story. Ambiguous or secret........zzzzzzzzzzzz

Mori apparently doesn't even know what the fuck is going on with the loketest. the interview had him saying they would rather balance everyone upwards since it is more fun or something. then the other guy was like, aiming to focus on character individuality more than 'balance' right now. Clearly, everyone has been toned down. A LOT.
  21. not good. one of the nice reports I saw turned out to be false. I think these are the biggest in order 1. wind regen crippled. 2. 3c ender crippled 3. 6a nerf All told, it is really bad. Lots of other chars got hurt a lot too. But Rachel has close to even matchups (some good, some bad) with very standard characters. e.g. izayoi is 6-4 izayoi favor in CP, that's going to be terrible in CP2 the way things are going. most of the standard chars are relatively well off. my guess on the current state of the loketest is that standard chars like ragna, jin, azrael, makoto, etc are among the better chars. Long way to go though so we'll see how things end up.
  22. what char actually has "strong" mixup in this game? chars with command grabs?
  23. as usual people don't know that character balance is relative so we've got people using chars that made off relatively well whining about being nerfed. FYI, Everyone did.
  24. it takes about 16 seconds to recover 4 wind stocks. 5B being level 2 means that you can ib DP 5b> JA. This is not that big of a deal. Other stuff is more damaging.
  25. confirmed. and rachel is shaping up to be godly with all the hits other characters are taking.
