5C after two Mamis is too highly prorated to hit with the super. If 3C can connect (ie if they don't tech before the 3C), then it'll work. Mami's 20% repeat proration hits combos pretty hard, so usually only something like 3C will have enough untechable time to connect a super afterwards.

Your timing on 22C is wrong. You have to hit them with the end of 22C's animation, so you recover fast enough to hit with 5C. Try inputting 22C faster.

Tao's 2A also outright beats our 5A. Don't spam AAs, as they'll be baited. Bombs are great in this matchup, but missiles are less so, as Tao can get around them easily and still be too high for you to punish her for it. If you get missiles, try using them one at a time, well placed. If you can get Tao to block, keep her there. Always go for oki unless it'll kill, and bait her CA's and bursts, as many Taos will burst/CA as soon as they're hit/caught blocking.

It's something I've been doing since week one of CS2 Plat, but it's still fun to catch people off guard with. Not to mention you can substitute a 2A instead of a grab for mixup options. As for "gimmicks", another "reset" I'm fond of is after a normal corner combo with Mami ender, 2B 2C. They tech after the 2B, and if they're mashing tech they'll get hit by 2C. Nothing to break the bank with, but if you notice your opponent is a bit mashy, it's an option. Relatively nonpunishable if it whiffs too, but don't get in a habit of it.

item oki is always great, but getting in the situation to use the oki in the first place is an issue, not to mention having it when you get that chance. more words also: [4:19:54 AM] Japanese Bird Cooking Spaghetti: 6a for 2d but 4d outright beats 6a so [4:21:42 AM] Japanese Bird Cooking Spaghetti: i was trying a bunch of stuff and i didn't find a universal 'noel drive punish' move aside from like [4:21:47 AM] Japanese Bird Cooking Spaghetti: 236a [4:21:47 AM] Japanese Bird Cooking Spaghetti: w [4:22:14 AM] Ray-Anthony (GammaGearJustice): that works? o.o [4:22:57 AM] Ray-Anthony (GammaGearJustice): I thought 236A only goes through like....legit projectiles not projectile normals? [4:23:03 AM] Japanese Bird Cooking Spaghetti: it works just fine [4:23:30 AM] Japanese Bird Cooking Spaghetti: it's just finicky and the timing is awkward [4:23:35 AM] Japanese Bird Cooking Spaghetti: for the followup [4:23:39 AM] Japanese Bird Cooking Spaghetti: depending on which drive she uses [4:23:43 AM] Ray-Anthony (GammaGearJustice): then it can go through Rachel's pumpkin? bubble beats all of her drives but 4D, and 4D can be stuffed with 3C with proper spacing. naturally though, if she just blocks the bubble, it'll be easy for her to react to your approach with a 4d or 2d (2d beating lows, 4d beating anything else).

did anyone else whos going to xanadu monthly get cse? dj huoshen wants two setups for tourney (i have one), so we need one more. ( ´_ゝ`)

how about that plat v haku matchup being 5.5-4.5 in our favo- wait, that's impossible. funny jbbs games
-
ahh, nice catch, i missed that.

i have no idea what you're referring to, but i was talking about how 3c on CH didn't allow the followup. the hazama was somehow able to emergency tech it

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FYg-jpE2Q_c#t=5m24s okay uh, what. also ch ground hammer is a great starter, but it's not 100p1. ground hammer is the same p1 as 5c, which is likely 90 oh, well you made the same typo i did. yeah no 6b > dash > 5c is the exact same as it used to be. requires specific spacing, and a dash is needed on certain characters/at certain distances. good judgement is vital.
-
6C > Dash > 5C isn't possible in any CSE environment unless you air fatal them. Ground fatal needs a falling j.C before you dash > 5C. CS2, however, used 6C > j.b (or j.c) whiff > 5C > 236B for fatals, so I'm assuming that's what you're referring to.
-
sfdsdg 6C > 5C? 6B > 5C. some correction Naturally, if you're not confident enough, you'd want to do 6B > 66 5A. I specified that it needs to be spaced properly (albeit with a typo), so that should be a given. so yeah if you don't follow my twitter or anything you'd probably not know that I've been pretty friggin busy lately. had an extra 8-14 people in my house, and didn't really have time for anything. they left a couple days ago, and as such I finally regained some chilltime. so as soon as my stick gets back I'll continue working on that funny combo movie (whether anyone still cares or not!!!).
-
You do, and it does not/is not respectively. 6B > 5C > 236B > 5C > 2C > 214C > 6C > 22C > 5C > 6A > 236B is still the optimal combo. 6B > 5C only works when spaced properly, of course.

You already said it, lack of transportation (or willingness to find some) is a big issue. Money is another, and when combined make for people staying home and netplaying it up. As for fixing the problem? Perhaps if people would post in their local Match Finder topic more often, it would be easier to have some of these issues relieved. For example, the MD/NoVA thread is basically dead. Practically nobody posts in there, and the people that do mostly don't even care about BB. Surely there's more people in the area who play BB, I even see plenty of others around with "Maryland" in their location, but don't post in the topic. Why is this? Well, for one, people might be too intimidated by the lack of love for BB in the topic, or just think the topic isn't very approachable as it is. Perhaps if people were a bit more open to new posters in their respective Match Finder topics, it would be easier for new people to post, and perhaps organize meetups/rides/whatever (which could relieve some of the "willingness to find transportation" issue). There's also always the problem of the people able to give rides not wanting to go out of their way to pick others up (gas money is friggin expensive), but that's something that has to be solved separately I suppose. Would also help if people who are willing to give out rides would make themselves more noticeable. Not sure how other Match Finder topics work, but here's a potential small push to a solution.

why mbaacc netplay so bad?
