They only put female characters in blazblue to appeal to every popular fetish. Arcsys is going to have to find a fetish for Linhua to be in order for her to be in the game. Think about it.

YES! I would love this. Imma bring my vape. @Astaroth: The core playstyle of the characters will be preserved. So yeah Yun will get changes in hitboxes and frames but dive kick is dive kick and it will still be part of his arsenal because it's a big part of what he is as a character. So learning how to deal with divekick now helps later and this can be said about every character. Yeah I might have to tweak my strategy a bit but the general matchup knowledge doesn't change. Ryu throws fireballs, Dudley throws overheads, rufus likes ex messiah, adon likes jaguar kicks, etc. Like in Blazblue, Rachel got nerfed bad from CT to CS1 but I saw some really solid Rachels beat people in CS1 who played BB since CT because they still didn't learn how to get past her zoning. Rachel's damage wasn't even a factor because the other guy couldn't get past her zoning which in large part was unchanged. Learning how to deal with it in CT instead of Rage quitting would have benefited them in the long run. Look at another character, Hakumen. He got probably some of the most drastic changes but his approach is still generally the same. You still have to learn to beat his J.C, how to space his 4C, how to bait his counters, etc.

Im not picking up 3rd strike. Patches in SFIV dont drastically change the playstyle or even combos a character can do, so playing AE is still worthwhile not to mention bigger community etc. MK is actually a lot of fun.

Like Billy said SF is mainly fundamentals. It is mainly the skeletal framework of any fighting game and is why top players from any fighting game can do extremely well in it. i.e. Fuudo won evo and he is from virtua fighter background, Latif got second and he is from a guilty gear back ground, and Poongko got third and he's from a Tekken background. Justin wong is from marvel, gamerbee is from tekken, etc etc. It's alot easier to get better at your fundamentals when those are the only things being challenged and that is what SF is. I'm not saying for Star to do it just to get better at blazblue but his general skill in fighting games would vastly improve if he did play SF because it strips away all those specific layers of blazblue, like airdashing, barrier, guard primers, etc. that gets in the way of learning fundamentals. After playing SF he can then take his knowledge from that game and apply it to Blazblue. So it's more like "To get better at fighting games, I can play SF"

Funny thing is Star. He doesn't actually play BBCS2. That street fighter yomi/footsies really helps in any fighting game. Telling you guys, if you want to get better at fighting games play SF.

I played both makoto and litchi and it was 3 bar...so you can't say it was just netplay, I mean some amount of skill was in play? It wouldn't have differed that much from 3 bar to offline, and I saw LK on the stream he didnt play much different against me. We have strong players, but the community as a whole is pretty low in terms of developed skill vs the S.F. community. I saw a lot of very skilled players able to hold their own against top players on the SF evo stream but it doesn't really apply to the bb scene. It's probably because bb scene is smaller and younger though.

more like I don't want to hear any excuses from anybody about using any character....buuut also it's because the level of competition in blazblue in america is pretty low. Just recently I learned a dude with XBL gamertag: Stickbug is actually lord knight. I go even with him and I don't practice this game. Either this game is a lot more simple than I thought or we just aren't that good at the game.

suguri isn't fun. i dont care about skullgirls. KoFXIII might be on my plate depending on if it's more popular than mk9. SFXT looks terribad but im gonna play it cause i can make a team of guy and raven. Nothing is more badass than that.

I really recommend SSFIV AE it really improves your yomi. No fighter does it better. Yeah it maybe boring at first but it's an aquired taste for people new to the series.

Arc Sys did it. Seriously the only company that has been doing patches right has been Arc Sys. It's fckin free. Honestly I think it's a rip off to those who don't care about using the new characters to have to pay to get the patch. I could understand before DLC was available that they could only sell hard copies but we live in a different day and age. Plus it isn't a complete overhaul. They are just tweaking the engine. networking doesn't even have to do with game data but how they deal with their servers. They could "improve" online right now for vanilla mvc3, but they aren't because it's an added incentive to buy ultimate mvc3. I hate how capcom markets their shit. It's just like apple.
