  1. d4 or d5. In fact, I wish I could just set the delays my damn self, and then have it be at a fixed delay. If it's spiky, I'll just bail, or -manually- set it higher if the result would still be playable. This makes no sense; If this were how it worked, matches would never have brief spikes and then recover, but they do.
  2. You know that you could have netplay that works flawlessly for 99% of the population and your "evidence" would still be just as "valid"? :P
  3. Thanks for the info; I don't think I'm up for $160+shipping though.
  4. Limited edition all gone at this point?
  5. Thunderbolt and I preparing for CP by doing ALL THE DPs. Mostly uploaded for any feedback for him, but I wouldn't mind any for me either. Also, me vs Dreadmaniac (Sinder) here twice. Matches in which I generally felt I played close to potential, so any feedback there is welcome too.
  6. Somehow I feel better about getting rolled by this fellow then. :P
  7. Watching Konan bleepin' unblockable Arakune WHILE CURSED nearly made me choke with laughter. :P
  8. Again though, that was...pretty bad 'oki'. It looks like she could practically have just high jumped out of that.
  9. Did you mean "don't even" because the best combo I know of for that in EX does like 3.6 or 3.8 or something?
  10. You have to admit, 4500 damage off a throw in the corner for 50 meter and one stock isn't half bad.
  11. Of course, for this to even be possible requires for YOU to have not used your burst lately.
  12. 50 feet of CAT6 will cost you less than $20. Probably less than $10
  13. I'm pretty sure I've seen 5-6k practical in some videos lately - that's OD + Install Super and maybe a charge or two "in the bank" to get things started, but it's still pretty fierce and widely applicable. Definitely not Hakumen style stupid though. Also, what about Hazama and his dumb "yay, I just keep hitting you with air chains and for some reason SMP never makes the combo drop" garbage?
  14. Good games to Dreadmaniac - I actually blocked a crossup! once! The key to victory! Bad games to Xbox.com for crashing when I try to do ANYTHING. Edit: Make that: Bad games to Xbox LIVE, since now apparently I can't even send game invites. -_- Training mode, AWAAAAAY.
  15. Wimbledon is over, so I can get the Xbox back now. x.x Should be less scarce, if anyone cares. >.<
  16. I'd like to say this isn't true, but it absolutely is in Extend. He has better normals, better mixup, way better damage, and a better install super. As a result, he's actually one of Tsubaki's worst matchups.
  17. No that's being lame and safe. :P I hate to break it to you - this isn't criticism, mind you - but your playstyle is FULL of gimmicks. Like tons and tons of them. Whether I beat you or not tends to depend more on whether I remember the gimmick before you do it, or not. This is not entirely your fault. Tager is gimmicky by nature. Arakune...can be.
  18. Picking through the Arc Revo videos, I've run into a few with Tsubaki. Will leave it to the Japanese speakers/readers to figure out who they are. Also, danger: Shakey cam. Tsubaki vs Tao Tsubaki vs Azrael Tsubaki vs Nu
  19. That's just how Thunderbolt rolls, as far as I can tell. Mad defense, but no bursting. And the occasional mental shutdown where it just seems like he stops trying to do anything.
  20. I dunno; Since it's a super easy platform to port to, I am a LITTLE surprised. I guess the real reason is that there's no BENEFIT for them to do it - I expect there won't be that many installed PS4's that don't ALSO have a PS3 in the household for some time, and BB won't be any "Better' on the PS4 and if there's no cross-platform play (no idea how that works with the PS3/PS4) then there would probably be a dangerously low number of PS4 players? Agreed; They're being super gunshy, which points to some sort of backroom shenanigans. Heck, Mori's answer of "I didn't make that decision" to me hints at "No one here made that decision."
  21. Yes. Not having to put up with the "Oh crap, this tournament is being run on the PS3" BS.
  22. Yup, that's him. Rockin' the Hatsune Miku colors. ;P No reason that I know of that it shouldn't!
  23. Okay, Beginner Mode Playlist Hopefully that works.
  24. If you're really serious about the hobby, yes, a PS3 and Extend (both of which are comparatively cheap right now, and getting cheaper all the time) is the way to do it; The PS3 is going to be the home for this series for the foreseeable future. There's no "list", per se, but it sounds like you're already working on most of the important stuff. If I had to come up with a total beginner's primer, it'd look something like this: #0: Watch Beginner Mode. James Xie put this together a while ago, but it's all still 100% relevant, and it explains a lot of stuff that's not obvious otherwise. There's a lot of it, so take it easy, don't try to sit down and watch it all at once or something, but review it when you're not practicing and have the urge to learn. (This is convenient, because you can start on this stuff now, even before you have the game). It's also pretty entertaining. James is a funny man Edit: Hmm. Weirdly, that link doesn't actually link to all the episodes because they're not in that playlist. I'll put one together and link it. #1: Go through the ingame tutorial. It explains all the mechanics. You won't remember them all at first, but it's good to try to get them into the back of your mind. #2: Pick a character (Sounds like you like Hakumen) and go through some of their Challenge Mode trials (You NEED to at least be able to complete 1-2. Ideally, you should be able to push through 3 and 4 as well). This gives you an idea of what the character's special moves do, and a few very basic combo concepts. #3: Play the game. At this point, you don't even need to play against people - though it's probably preferable. Just focus on learning what your character can do. Learn your normals, and what are useful for what. The Dustloop Wiki has good info for this too (linked to the Hakumen page). #4: Practice. As in, in training mode. The most important thing here is to be able to do all your special moves on demand, 100% of the time. If your can't reliably make your character do what you want them to do, frustration will follow. After that, you can use training mode for a LOT of stuff, but a good next step would probably be a couple of basic combos. #5: Play some more. #6: Learn. By now you should have some idea of what you're doing wrong or not doing, or whatever. Try to identify things that you should do less of (Too many random counters, getting hit a lot!) or not doing enough (I never remember to use Zantetsu, it's strong, I should use it more!) and then use those in matches. If you have questions, Dustloop is here for you. #7: Practice. Work on implementing what you've learned. #8: Play. Repeat 6-8. At all steps: relax and have fun. You can absolutely get decent. It's a good idea to get a PS3/Extend if you enjoy the game. (Extend is super cheap, and picking a PS3 'future proofs' you for CP eventually.). Uh... anything bad? People can be dicks when they lose.
