  1. Hakumen was the first character that came to mind, but any of the relatively non-fancy up-close types (Ragna/Makoto/Tsubaki) also seen like reasonable choices. Fact of the matter is that he can just change later if he decides he sees someone cool he wants to play.
  2. Served indeed. But damnit, I did better than 10-2 indicates. :P No idea why I kept rolling into 720. I NEVER roll. Why would I roll THERE? x.x
  3. All, like, nine of them by the time they get done adding additional forms? :P Yub yub!
  4. GGs Lime and Owner last night; Had lots of fun in spite of few "Buh, derp." execution moments. Sorry I couldn't stay longer, but 1:30am z.z
  5. This is like, inside out logic; If no one watches intros in versus play, there's even LESS Reason to make them 'story only' because if you act on the assumption that everyone will skip them, then you might as well put them in. AND, to spin it around, if people skip the intros all the time, then ALL intros are "story mode only" :P This whole idea still sounds like a waste of time to me. If you're going to make intros, you should A) Make them with the assumption that they will be watched (Go figure) and B) Give people opportunity to do so. Not make them "special easter eggs" that get seen until you beat that fight and then never heard from again. I think Arc made the right decision not including any of these.
  6. You have until CP comes out.
  7. Actually, it won't unless they do some sort of goofy option select - air driver uses a different button from the ground drivers. (It's 360C). So unless they do something wacky like 360A~C or something, they have to commit to doing it in the air or on the ground. But you're right about it not catching grounded opponents - throws in BB are EITHER Air Throws (catch airborne opponents only) or ground throws (catch grounded opponents only) with the possible exception of Bang's 4 Seal Super, which is a bit of an edge case.
  8. Does not compute. We already HAVE THIS. There are lots of special "mission" fights scattered throughout BB story mode. (The Jin segment where he can't draw his sword, Ragna with no drive, blah blah, I'm sure there are others - I'm pretty sure I remember some starting with less than max health.) and we already have "special" intros. Why would we want special intros that ONLY play in story mode? Complete waste of cool animations if you ask me.
  9. GGs to "Zehawesome" last night. By which I mean me getting STOMPED. Not sure what happened on a couple of those 'Yeah, I'll just lie here and not tech so you can pick it up into a 4k combo' moments; I swear I was mashing tech. Really looking forward to Hold-to-tech. x.x
  10. Sometimes I wonder how they can claim to not know. :P Like, most of the characters who are either top tier or low tier in BB can be spotted just by theoryfighting, FFS. (Tsubaki is one of them. So is Hazama.)
  11. Community effort, but mostly Kiba and PK, I believe. But yes, I always get annoyed when I go to other character's wiki pages and look and them. It's like "WTF, why is this such a mess?" (Note: Still better than trying to figure out anything about a character in SF4, holy christmas, it's like attack of outdated information from 3 revisions ago.)
  12. YESSSSSS! It's about time! (I'm with CtrlAltWTF - as far as I know, there's no way to do this in Extend other than to leave the room and rejoin as a spectator. Which sucks.) Also, sorry SolxB, but Bullet's design is ugly, her moves are boring, and she's no fun for me to watch, so I don't care if she's terrible and no one plays her. ;P
  13. This is not true - they don't have to emergency tech, and if they don't, they can then roll. 6A stuff is mostly for people who are trying to tech as fast as possible and therefore push a button to emergency tech. If they don't, theoretically you can hit them with something else if they lie there too long, but there's no reason why they should do that. This is definitely tricky, but as has been pointed out to me (even though I haven't yet actually -done- it x.x ) is that using 5C instead of 5A will get you a much nicer punish, and should work equally well.
  14. Any idea how it works? I've heard that it's been "improved" and clearly, these are very much improvements, but like... how do the controls work? Has there been any info? And yeah, DarkRanger; I noticed that there were some DPs in places where it's like "Why would you....?"
  15. I figured it was something like this, but I was still kinda confused. Unless you're me, in which case you just get hit by the DP a lot. It's one of my unique skills. Oh well. It did give a chance to work on those DP punish combos that I rarely get a chance to use... Heh. Yeah. I kinda figured out you were doing it on purpose the second time you did it. (The first time, I uh... didn't entirely notice until I realized you had no bursts.) I confess I did start messing around a little bit once I realized what was going on. >.>
  16. You may want to get into the habit of doing it the 2CC version off of 22D, because it DOES do a little more damage, and it's super easy because your combo is WAY less prorated off 22D. Yup, though you want to charge as much as possible. Yeah, this is pretty much how you HAVE to do it off a throw. You can be much sloppier off 22D.
  17. What was up with the stylish mode? o.o
  18. Uh, so just as a heads up, and I don't know if this has anything to do with your troubles or not, but if you do that combo off a grab you need to omit the second C on 2CC, otherwise the combo goes blue/they tech out (depending on how you have your training dummy set up.). The trick to getting the super, though, is really buffering - as soon as you hit the 22B, you have a pretty good while while the 22B animation is going on, to do your 236236 motion, and then, at the right moment when the animation is over, you can push D and it will come out.
  19. Yes and fine.
  20. I ask myself that at least 1/3rd of the time I am playing this game.
  21. The funny thing is that Konan could have won the Valk match by DPing MORE; On his "final wakeup" Valk just went for pressure while super low on health. Konan even had a stock. A DP there probably would've ended the match the other way without even needing a followup for damage. If anything has "changed" it's that Tsubaki has a DP that isn't complete ass, and which people clearly are having trouble punishing for "real" punishes.
  22. I've never run into anything in BB chats that was more negative than someone who thought they were way better at the game than they are, raging furiously into the mic. Nothing that anyone could possibly take a personal insult, bigotry, or anything other than one person being angry and stupid. BB community is pretty nice, frankly. At least, on Xbox, where the cool kids arewere.
  23. You guys are my heroes.
  24. Boo; Okay. I guess I'll see if I can't make time to get destroyed in an Argent FT10 sometime later in the week. x.x
  25. It'd be REALLY weird if we lost the ability to tack on 236236D, since it's actually one of the fastest moves in the game. @_@ (In fact, offhand, I can't think of anything that's faster than 5 frames.) Puzzling.
