From best to worst in terms of disadvantaged matchups huh? Probably: Nu/Ragna > Relius/Rachel/Hakumen/Bang > Hazama/Litchi/Mu > Valk/Tao > Kokonoe. Azrael would probably be disadvantage as well, though only slightly so he would fit in with Nu/Ragna. Rest is even with like 3 55:45's.

Because the 6C nerf means no more j.D > j.A/B stuff. Not like it was all that great but it was an option and it worked pretty well against any character without a DP cause unless they IB the 6C (and you only do first hit, so relatively hard ;p) they can't mash you out of it, now they can. But yeah, not all that big of a deal.
-
A lot of the top should be slightly easier to deal with as Tsubaki after the patch, she won't move in tiers or overall power but the balance of power should be closer together. At least, that's what the patch is supposed to do.
-
If you use j.D to evade long-range sonic sabres and you see her running up to you you still have the option of cancelling into air backdash and make her whiff it if she commits to 623B. The whole thing is still in Tsubaki's favour as it nets her charge while Izayoi gets nothing.
-
She can do 11K in CP! I was just making a reference to CS2 where Tsu was shitting out 5K's off 2A in the corner.
-
Tsubaki pooping out 10K would be nice for once.
-
That's exactly what it means. And welp, poor makoto.

In other words: Backdash: total animation changed from 20 to 22f. Negative penalty: changed from level 2 to level 4. 6A: cannot emergency tech, steals knockdown on hit (???) 6C: can be cancelled on block. no additional hitstop on block. static diff changed from -12 to -18 3CC: the vaccuum on CH slightly increased [4]6D > 236D: blowback on aerial hit [4]6C/D: motion changed to 421A or 421D. A version startup changed from 27 to 25f, total animation changed from 56 to 54f, projectile speed increased. 214214D(all D versions): SMP changed from level 1 to level 2. 22D: if mugen ends while you're charging 22D, you still get the mugen version. OD 236236D: animation slightly changed. last hit has blowback. Nothing too serious here, nothing that will move her up or down the tier list.

I'll see if I can find the ceremony in the Twitch archives...http://www.twitch.tv/leveluplive2/b/507709662. Skip to 6:38:47 and he says it about 1 minute past that.

I also told him to use j.2C more but I'm not entirely sure if that's a viable option to add after say a blocked 5C > 6C > stein cancel > stuff, I feel like his pressure always just ends there even though there's many options he has to keep me guessing at that point. Delaying your tech is probably your best bet, adjusting your block could work but I can do 2B crossunder > command grab or just intentionally mess it up so the crossunder doesn't happen. Delay teching can still be risky however as all I need to do is wait a split second with 2B and I get a free reset combo off it, but it's generally still the better option.

You probably need to land the 3CC at a specific height/timing as well, all together it probably is a 1 frame link.
-
Yeah, I'm not too sure if this matchup became worse or not now(how's this even possible...), 214D was THE tool in this matchup and they took it away. And the nerfs to Mu's stuff doesn't really matter outside of Habaya. [4]6D > 236D is hardly a good substitute for 214 because of it's cost and the fact that Mu tends to be in the air or too far away so you can't even hit her with it anyways unless she does something stupid. But, welcome to playing Tsubaki I guess. :V I'm never going to remember all of them but it sure helps to have a visual guide! Thanks Keebs!

You can do two things wrong in the first combo: 1. Hitting 5C too high. 2. not delaying 2CC enough. There's only one thing you can do wrong in the second combo: 1. Not delaying 2CC enough. Turn on hitstun bar in training mode and try hitting every single move at the last possible moment.

Most changes so far have been to the newer characters, with the old ones not receiving too many changes (though some are pretty drastic like Valk's changes apparently). In any case since this update was announced last month, maybe they actually started working on it since then and not earlier, focusing a lot on the console only chars. And perhaps from now until the release they'll focus on the older characters? I mean just 3-4 small changes and a nerfed Makoto, when CP has been out for so long just seems a bit odd. Though it would mean we would get a non-tested balance update...since no loketests will be taking place I wager.
-
It was one thing I was looking for but...it's just way too hard tell. to be honest it would make sense if it was reduced if we look at the 6C hitstop nerf, since 6C > j.D > j.A/j.B was a safe blockstring before against anyone without a DP afaik, but you could get mashed out when you landed cause of the landing recovery. So instead they might have made that unsafe (it's AA'able now for the entire cast) and instead reduced landing recovery of j.D to make it so that if they respect it they can't mash out when you land? Just theoryfighting here but I sure wouldn't mind if 2A > j.D > j.C or 5B > j.D > j.C became valid blockstrings for people who respect them...like Plat's Swallow moon! :V
-
I'm sure we'll find something.
-
Of course not, having the D version actually being usable in neutral (same with j.236D) would make Tsubaki more solid and we don't want that.
-
So it seems the changes posted so far really are the only ones...? What a huge disappointment, nearly 1.5 years into CP's lifespan and they can't even make more than 3-4 changes to existing chars. I know the update isn't called CP2 or anything similar but come on. ;_;
-
You also need to take into account that these are definitely not the only changes. Nearly 1.5 years and the best they can do is 3-4 changes per character? Really doubtful. But these changes are a good indicator of what we can expect. Hopefully some notable JPN Tsubaki player gets to play the build this week.
-
I really doubt these changes are the only ones. There's no way in hell they could leave Makoto in her current state, and even apply a nerf to her. Unless Arc sys thinks she's not low tier enough to deserve the attention from this patch. :V

Tsubaki 6A:Can no longer be Emergency Teched on hit. Wasn't this only on air hit? in any case if that's what it means then does this mean we can use 6A for knockdown on air targets to set up oki or something? 6C: Moved the additional hitstop from a blocking opponent, can no be canceled on block No clue if that typo is supposed to be "not" or "now"...but hopefully the latter. Google translating the change lists it as "made possible cancellation" so I'm going to say it means it's now special cancellable on block Judgement Technique: Darkness Piercing Light: Command is now 421A or 421D. The projectile speed of the A version is now faster. Much needed change All Macto Maledictis D Attacks: Strengthened the Same Move Proration for all attacks. RIP double [4]6D > 236D combos Overdrive D Version Confutatis Maledictis: Now has a different animation after it hits. Now hits the opponent forward. Doesn't matter much Probably not the only changes, and after seeing the 6C change is actually a buff, these changes aren't too bad so far. :V
-
1. Because just doing j.214x gives small time to charge and oki(hah!), j.236A> j.214A knocks them away and allows them to tech in the air. 2.Because it ends in an air ender instead of ground ender, so it's not useful unless you use it to end the round with (cause it deals slightly higher damage).
-
Simple combos? Midscreen/corner no charge: 5BB > 2BB > 5CC > 236A/B > 214B > 22B. Corner 1 charge: 5BB > 2BB > 5CC > 22D > 6CC > 236B > 214B > 22B. Crouching stuff: 5BB > 2BB > 5CC > 6BB > 236B > 214B > 22B. These are pretty much all not optimal however, but at least you'll never drop them!
-
It isn't, they either picked the most notable changes or at least a few of them and a few random ones, I guess. Still hoping for straight air sonic saber and a real DP in normal mode. ;_;
-
Agree with all of the above, Tsubaki just needs some quality of life changes and that's about it. Also unblockable is most likely gone because [4]6D > 236D allows you to set it up on hit with, afaik, no way to escape it from hittin you at full charge without an invul move. So unless you want your hitstun on that move to become worse to the point you can no longer followup 6C then yeah, don't expect it back. She also honestly doesn't need it.
