  4. It is and isn't, because getting back health would be an optional trade-off rather than intrinsic parameter of Ragna. You'd need to hit the opponent with a good starter and then proceed with a full lifesteal combo to gain around 2k health (and maybe 2.5K - 2.8K if you throw in DbD in the end), sacrificing potential damage that could have been dished out instead.
  5. Lol Ragna wouldn't have more HP than Tager, he'd just be able to lifesteal effectively if the Ragna player wishes to.

  7. With all other factors being the same (mixup, pressure, no command grab, shitty Bloodscythe etc), yes it would be cool. Ragna's subpar mixup means that we'd have to work hard to get that hit, and since I'm forgoing damage in favor of lifesteal, the lifesteal better be worth it. It was bad. CS2 and Extend were way better. Basically, in CS1, drive moves had a fixed amount of lifesteal, and using the same drive moves again in a combo (like having 5D(2) two or three times in the combo) increases the lifesteal of only that move (in this case 5D(2)) by increments of 10% up to a total increase of 50%.
  8. I don't think anyone did. Lifesteal has never been worth it in previous games. In CP all his lifesteal normals except 2D have very bad P2s, which makes me think ArcSys wants to add an extra element to Ragna's gameplan: to choose between damage or lifesteal. But his lifesteal still sucks. If a normal lifesteal combo regained like 2k health then I'd be interested.

  10. If CTs are 20 frames start-up uncharged, then 5D>CT could work on crouchers. for example, crouching hit 6B> 5D(1) >CT.

  13. OK, JP Ragna players fanclub discussion time! I've been noticing a couple of rising Ragna stars in the vids, like Macchi and METAL (both whom I've never heard of before CP). Did these guy play Ragna pre-CP, or even BB at all before CP? I think there might be more rising Ragna stars that I don't currently remember. And what happened to Sakamoto Ryouma, he is one of the good Ragna players back in CS2 and CSEX. Where did he vanish off to? What about the other OG Ragna's? Naru still plays (he's not that good) Kaqn is bleh, HARA plays but he's meh, what happened to the other prominent OG Ragna players? Tetsu?

  19. The more I look at Bloodscythe the more I'm convinced it's an incomplete move. It needs something like invincibility in the latter half of the animation. Or maybe be a bit faster.

  24. I thought BB's weird health bar segmentation was CT only. Was it also there in CS1, CS2 or CSE?
