Mitsuru vs Yosuke is ignorant. I feel like i'm spending more of the match trying to out-mash him than I am trying to legitimately read him. I can't poke him, hard as heck to catch him in the first place, and getting stuck in his pressure is frustrating. He's so stupid.

Looking forward to fighting you all Saturday, been getting plenty of match-up experience so I feel really well-rounded right now. Plus I feel like my neutral game has developed a bit, idk, we'll see come Saturday. With that said though, I can finally start learning some combos and figuring out some tech traps and other shenanigans. Hopefully i'll have some interesting tricks to show off for our first tournament. So look out for that stuff. Also, Mitsuru on waifu status for life. Loving this woman with each rising of the sun. Finally found a character that plays exactly like how I want all the way down to the pokes.

Glad you find that funny. Can still do a bit of entry-level stuff, but gaining access to my options at all times through the excessive charging just got killed. My combos are still in there though.

Just had my first run in with a decent yukiko. I would say that the match-up was frustrating, but aside from getting in, every time I touched her she died. With that said they still did a very good job of keeping me locked down, even in my maximum range with Mitsuru. @Milln/Grimstar: Yosuke damage be that good stuff. Requires a few counter-hits, but with the best buttons in the game he shouldn't have too much of a problem getting that. Gets about 3k into confusion oki, he's REALLY strong. @Woz: Fight meh Woz! No one on PSN is trying to today.

Scratch off Raiza and put Woz, Volpe. That still leaves two more slots open for tonight's games, maybe one if Tripp decides to fight. Edit: Jackie, you need to re-add me tonight.

Been to busy in the lab to talk. Edit: Just got back from getting teeth stuff done, my mouth feels like I went ten rounds with Mike Tyson at the moment. Anyway, this game is amazing. Sorry i couldn't make it to FIght Night. I'll definitely be at the next one. So far, i'm maining Mitsuru (I love how she plays) and I guess you could call Yosuke a second main/sub (you'll be seeing a lot of me using him). Other than that, I plan on subbing everyone else in the game, they're all too legit.

Alright man, if you really think it's theory fighter. Edit: I was just going to leave it at that, but I wouldn't feel comfortable doing so. So instead, i'm going to simply say this, I haven't tested Furin Bang on all characters, at most i've tried him out against Noel and Mu-12. But at the same time, i've used Haku-Men and i've used Lambda against a very strong Bang player, who was able to control Furin Bang very well. He managed to give me a lot of insight on Furin and honestly, that's how I came up with the conclusion that the problems you listed aren't as relevant as you peg them out to be. But go ahead, dismiss what I say as theory fighter, it's always so much easier to end a discussion that way.

This all sounds like problems that derive from bang players not being able to control Furin movement well, which if this was the case would make sense. With that said, I can't really see any of the above mentioned, except for Tao because well, she's Tao. I could perhaps see Rachel as one as well. Tager: I honestly would've bought your argument had you talked about his normals, but spark bolt? Bang has to worry about Spark Bolt in Furin? Just wow... Haku-Men: Did you just say, space with 4C, you're joking right? More times than not Haku-Men will not catch you, unless you're auto-piloting, with one of his C normals. They're much too slow and most outside of 5C don't even have a good enough hit-box, especially 4C. Hazama: The risk/reward for Hazama trying to lock you down in Furin with chains is awfully high. I mean, once his chains are half-way through the animation, he can't call them back, making a free whiff punish if you are able to predict when he'll throw them. Now getting in on him from the air is something I may have bought honestly, seeing as his anti-airs are just silly. Lambda: She suffers the same problem against Furin Bang, except her swords are almost twice as easy to bait. It's already bad enough she can't establish a good zoning ability against normal Bang but now she has to gamble with someone twice as fast and with more ability to get around? Mhm, that's really dangerous territory alright. Not only that, she has no solid reversals, and her normals when compared to Bang's are mediocre Platinum: The worst you might get out of her is getting out-poked, 6A too godlike. Other than that, I don't see a problem. Carl: How so?

I'd have to say the same about my own debate skills as well. I have to get better at making my arguments sound smarter. I'm told I have some good points, but they don't come across as intelligent due to grammar issues and what-not, thus getting written off. Astaroth, Tager players do have to work, don't ever think you don't. It's just not as much as the community makes it out to seem.

Furin is very easy to get, and activating it is somewhat just as easy. Bang doesn't have to spend meter for much of anything, his pressure and combos just don't require it. Also, Furin does net the best damage in-game (via counter and non-counter hit), where you're getting he doesn't I don't know. He doesn't require 100 heat to get more than 5K in Furin either, you've been wasting your meter if you do spend this much. You're guaranteed a good 4K off any hit that manages to connect in Furin, regardless of positioning. Do you understand how good this is? Being in a state where your speed and ability to return to neutral/safe positioning anytime you want to is unmatched. You say he needs 5B to get damage, bang's 5B is not that slow. Only 10 frames and it's jump-cancelable on block (combined with the distance Furin sends you in a dash, that's pretty good).Not many characters can punish his back-dashes, like you said they need really good, long-ranged pokes, which most characters DO NOT HAVE! The fact that once Bang enters Furin, that turns the entire match afterwards into a horribly laid out guessing game for your opponent (so blocking on reaction and punishing on reaction is difficult). Maybe you could try and block Furin mix-up, but the fact of the matter is, most times you won't be able to block everything (and in most character's cases, you're going to have to mash in order to get out of situations). Topped with the fact that his D nails give him automatic ability to get in, no matter where he is on screen and you have to respect it is amazing. I could go on and on about how great that move is, but the fact of the matter is, against many characters in the game the reward he gains off Furin outways the risk. Edit: I could understand why Furin isn't used against characters like Ragna, Litchi, and Mu-12. Everyone else you'd have to explain to me why not.

There's so much truth to this it's not even funny.

Not really broken, but it's hella good (broken) you have to admit. You net about 6K off of anything and the mobility on that thing is ridiculous. Chances are, someone who goes Furin will never get caught, it's not used much because it takes some actual skill to use, and in high-level matches people don't tend to stick their necks out for things that could ultimately back-fire if you don't know what you're doing. With that said, I do like Extend's Furin. Especially J.2C loop, I specifically learned how to do that with bang if nothing else.
