  1. Thinking about Gear and I-No again...
  2. Actually, I blocked and punished every instant overhead jB they tried to pull on me. Idk what the fck happened, but something just woke up. If my opponent was determined to press buttons, I just said "Fck it, imma just sit on my ass and block". They didn't know what to do afterwards and started going for unsafe shit, that's when I made my move and that's when I secured those wins. I finally realised, I can't just think two steps ahead of my opponent, I have to think 50. I'm actually starting to make people who would normally be mashing their asses off respect my pressure without ever even pressing a damned button. This feeling, only one word can describe this feeling. Godlike! Sorry everyone, I have to rant. I'm feeling myself so hard right now.
  3. Getting a taste of what Mitsuru bull shit is like. It's actuallly not as bad as it seems. I just had to keep blocking low until the player made a retarded mistake, it was annoying though. Trying to weed through all the mash and button presses to see where I could punish. I don't know why the mashing seems to be getting worse with each passing day. It's almost as if players are legimitately turning their brains off and letting reaction and muscle memory take care of the rest. I couldn't believe how much characters can get away with when I blocked most of their so-called "pressure". This game continues to bring me to the depths of rage and irritation, but I blocked, I blocked all of the bull shit DAMNIT! I'M A FUCKING MAN!!
  4. Yeah, it does require a crap-ton of meter. Playing the game a bit though, I notice meter isn't hard to come by (I find myself sitting on 100 or so meter that isn't doing much each round) plus the combos themselves aren't that hard to do. I think we'll probably see an increase in overall damage from a lot of characters as the game progresses. Edit: I don't even know why I brought it up. The thought was just sitting in the back of my mind for a while and it came reeling back up after seeing Woz's post. It became even more relevent to me due to the fact that Liz's set-ups into instant kills happened to me a few times against someone I fight.
  5. I'm starting to notice that touch-of-death combos and instant-kill combos are starting to become a lot more practical in this game. I'm starting to pull off 8-9k combos mid-match now with ease and a few regulars I fight with are starting too as well. This game just keeps going downhill for me faster and faster. I'm surprised the people who had problems with BB's huge damage output aren't raging yet.
  6. @Tad: I think it went well (No I don't). The only thing I think I screwed up with was that I didn't have enough questions. I asked about 5 or so but I felt like I should've been blasting him with more throughout the course of the interview as a whole. I wish you all could've saw me this morning. Drinking coffee and trying to put on a tie, that shit was a train wreck, lol. Either ways, after coming home I needed to unstress, and what better way to do that than to do some P4U grinding. Unfortunately, i'm tired of fighting net-play. Need real people to stab in the face. Also, theory fighter isn't a bad thing. It keeps things hype and unpredictable for when the game finally comes out. After all, when Extend came out, me and a few other Noels were theory fighting about her not having damage. Now we can get 9.6K off of Fatal counter 4Ds, imagine that. @Jackie: That sounds horrible. Edit: Tad, we need to get together and have some BB/P4U casuals. I probably won't be able to make it to the next tournament so imma need to get my high-level play fix somehow.
  7. I told Astaroth about the aerial 360s. Noel's life just got harder
  8. Alright, I'M SO READY FOR THIS! LET'S GOOOO! This interview is MINE! I'll post up how it went when I get back. @Volpe: UNIB hits arcades on 9/20.
  9. Gotcha, thanks for the heads up. Spent all day today shaking off the jitters and smiling to myself in a mirror (I can see why I don't do that much). I swear it'll be a miracle if I don't choke completely though.
  10. Yo Milln, got any tips for being interviewed properly? Nervous as heck and the last thing I need is to screw up horribly. I already know a few things but I figured it'd be better to ask someone who probably had to interview people regularly. I'm so hyped (contrary to popular believe)
  11. I hope the game gets a US release date, i'd be really sad if I never got to play my Yuzu.
  12. UNIB System mechanics anyone?: Button Layout: A (weak) B (medium) C (Strong) D (Exist) - Exist ( Meter that fills up to 200. It fills up on confirmed attacks, taking damage, and whiffed normals, and through Chain Shift. EXS also carries on to the next round) - Grind (Each match begins with both players with 0 GRD. Everyone has six stocks of GRD that fills up overtime or they can fill up themselves in other ways. With each new stock their defense/offense are increased. GRD is also slowly filled when your're attacking but decreases while your're being attacked. GRD does not carry onto the next round) - Shield (A shield of energy appears in front of the character and it pushes the opponent back little by little with each blocked attack. It drains the EXS Gauge upon use however. Also, receiving a hit while shielding is active will result in your GRD being frozen for a set amount of time) - Assault (A maneuver that is similar to a mini- hop or Instant Air Dash in other fighters. It's mainly used for pressure to stay on the opponent and cost 10 EXS. Each Assault maneuver is unique to every character) - Concentration (Character becomes stationary and begins charging Exist gauge) - Chain Shift (Chain Shift allows you to cancel the active/recovery frames of any blocked move to make yourself safe. This technique converts all of your GRD (no matter how much you have) into your EXS gauge. Each GRD stock is equal to about 10-15 EXS points) - Veil off ( An activation state that's only available once you have 100 or more EXS. How long it lasts is proportionate to how much EXS you had when you activated it. At 200 EXS you are granted 5 in game seconds of Veil Off time. However it drains your EXS to 0 after the time limit is up) - Grind Vorpal (Every 15 in game second the game gives a 20% damage increase bonus to whoever is in the lead of their GRD stocks. So within an entire match a GRD Vorpal bonus should happen about 6 times. But if both players have all 6 stocks (or an equal amount of GRD) of their GRD full, GRD Vorpal will not occur. It only activates when one player has more GRD than the other) - Grind Encroach (If you are currently in a GRD Vorpal state and have 6 GRD stocks total, it is possible for your GRD to overlap onto your opponents stocks if they have less then 6 themselves. Your GRD will take up their area and limit how much they can increase during the duration of this feature. Wither you get offense/defense bonuses from stolen GRD areas is unclear) @Tad: Glad to see you enjoyed your down-time
  13. Too bad compared to all the other females in P4U, she's the furthest thing from a hoe, apparently. @Volpe: Nah, you just free bro.
  14. Grand Finals was TOOO DAMNED HYPE!! Good shit to SKD eliminating LK and then exposing Psyken.
  15. Summer Jam Stream (P4U tournament): http://www.twitch.tv/St1ckBuG
  16. I do senselessly rage at Tager though, my rage for him will forever burn bright. Edit: But I am a bad player. You can ask anyone who knows me.
  17. I'd have to disagree. When I debated with Lumin on the Ragna stuff, those were facts being thrown around, not opinions (from both sides). Even the Mitsuru vs Kanji stuff was all facts that were tested in-match and in the lab before I said anything. I really try my hardest to keep things accurate, and if someone comes up with a better idea I haven't thought of, i'll ackowledge it (like how SKD came in and told me about the cross-up whiff trick for yosuke's DP). Outside of those two instances, I honestly don't senselessly rage, even though it does come off as such, which is partially my fault in the first place.
  18. THAT'S YOU! That's your own view on the situation. Why should I think the same way as you on a subject? Especially if you experience something in a match and it FEELS bs. That's the point of humans being given indivisual thought processes, so that we can come to our own conclusion on things, not what other people decide to hand out to us. Edit: I did say that the recovery on Yosuke's DP was hard to tell, which it kind of is if you're in the middle of a match. Unbeatable, no, hard to deal with at times, yes.
  19. I still consider Yosuke's DP to be the best in the game, even after lab testing it (Chie's un-nerves me a bit now), and never once did I say it was unbeatable or whatever you're saying I said. AGAIN, you really need to read my posts before trying to put words in my mouth. As a matter of fact, the post I made wasn't even ABOUT his DP, it was about how I felt about the match-up in general. Naturally, everyone zoomed in on one aspect of it because it's easy to call me out and try to make me look stupid on that one subject then tackle everything I said as a whole. I've never liked grapplers, and most likely, I never will, no matter what tier they are. You say I should like the wake-up situations they put me in because they're grapplers alone? What sense does that make? If I find something frustrating, of course i'm going to rage at it. Will I eventually accept it, hell yeah, life moves on. However, you need to come to a realization that not everyone thinks the same as you. While you don't have to agree with me, you do have to accept and stop trying to criticize someone for their opinions. Edit: Yeah, Labrys made me rage that ONE day, due to the fact that I can't deal with her normals as well as I liked. I even went back and said I accepted it and tried to adjust to a style that fits the match-up, so yeah, I guess you could say that for the one instance, but that's it.
  20. When have I referred to characters (other than Ragna) as braindead? Now you're putting words in my mouth. Considering everyone else's normals in the game, they're still pretty slow. I never said they were a problem though, so yeah.... Last I checked, I gave a well-thought out explanation of what I didn't like about the characters i've ever gotten into a debate about. Never did I say I didn't like something, on a whim. I even made a video once trying to give an example. You need to pay more attention to my posts instead of making assumptions based on the end result of discussions. Edit: You need to do your homework before trying to call someone out on a whim, good sir.
  21. I've always done my homework before posting. What are you talking about? Edit: Just saw the Mitsuru frame data, damn these normals are slow as FUCK!
  22. @Astaroth: I'm not pissed about what you're saying about Kanji, that's your character and you have the right to your opinion. For some reason, discussion about all the topics I bring up always seems to end in "You're just a bad player". It'd get to you too if you heard that shit after every response you get on a topic you're having issues with.
