  1. Except CS2 Woz... I wish they would give Noel more than 2 new moves though. She really deserves a overhaul of moves this time around.
  2. I really like how Bang has to use all four of his drives in order to get all four seals. I always thought he needed to work a bit harder to get something as broken as furin. @Woz: Nah, ignore half of my doom alerts for Noel. This has happened every iteration of the games' loketests. I hear terrible news, depression hits hard as hell, a ray of hope shines on release, then I find out she's still crappy as hell but can somehow deal with it.
  3. I'm going to miss gold bursts, but I supposed overdrives will be hype. Apparently Noel's boosts her drives, HAHA! Sweet jesus, give niggas another reason to option select losses when they fight me why don't ya Aksytem. Also, the first loketest apparently spelled quite a bit of gloom and doom for Noel...again 6B>6C apparently no longer works. Plus combos from 22BxN and 22C no longer work. How the hell do we get damage mid-screen? Also, the new shotgun move gatlings off of 2C, but they're sent flying so far from the opponent that it's impossible to combo...da heck is this? It wallbounces/sticks in the corner but reports have said you can't combo off of it in corner, the same with her 22B and 22C stuff. Optic barrels A and C are gone? Okay, now this just doesn't make any sense at all. Heard the input for optic barrel C got replaced with the Shotgun. I like her new move after Revolver Blast though. Nerfs to 2D, people will still complain about that crap, and still get hit by it. My main thing is 4D no longer combo'ing. If this comes to fruition i'm done with BB forever.
  4. Got some Chrono Phantasma information for those curious: - Gold bursts have been removed, they've been replaced with something called "overdrive" Builds up over time, grants character-specific benefits. Duration depends on health. Freezes the timer when used. - The guard primer/libra has been removed, each character now has certain moves that if you pay 25 heat and press A+B will break guard - Wallbounce has been changed, characters now wall-stick instead (i'm assuming like GG)
  5. I really want to make it to Game Galaxy tomorrow, i'll see what I can do. Most likely i won't be able to make it though *sadface* As for get-togethers, tomorrow i'll be a Persona zombie, Wednesday I have to go to the dentist so i'll be in Clarksville all day. Thursday-Sunday is open at that point. Next tourney is on the 18th Woz. Hopefully we'll get a decent number of entrants.
  6. I'm sorry Milln, I have to do it. He's too much fun to deny. Plus, I want to see who I can make rage first. Also, to answer your Graces question, I forget. I haven't played it in a few days. Plus i'll have to sell it Tuesday so i'll probably grind playing it all day tomorrow. I'll update you then.
  7. You don't have to, I wasn't posting it to necesarily get feedback from anyone, especially when I know what the answer i'm going to get from people is. Was just venting my thoughts after I saw something that made me rage for a moment. But yeah, just go ahead and write it off as overreacting if you want to. Play yosuke nigga, we need more Yosuke players. I want to see super jump, throw my knives all day, make it happen Milln.
  8. I recall people still playing CS when CS2 was announced and even still playing that when Extend was announced. I've never once seen playing of the game come to a complete halt for another iteration of the game. I'd have to agree that the number of Americans playing and showing up in YouTube vids is low, it's not really dead. Japanese players still get uploads regularly and tournaments manage to stay relatively decent size there, but that's Japan. I'm not able to pull off exact numbers off the the top of my head, but I know more than 1%. No one has ever once "explained" to me why BB is truly, to the core, a bad game. High-level players do tell me the bull-shit within the game but it's nothing relevant enough to completely write it off. BB was never that popular in the south, to me it seems mostly the Street Fighter communities were what was big down here. Saying it only got like 5 to 6 people is meh, I guess. Blazblue.com? I've never heard of this site but let me ask, how many of them are high-level players? How many of them know the system mechanics inide-and-out, and know how they impact each and every character? How many of them have played the game at its highest level and have consecutively won? Chances are, not many of them. Also, I have to ask how many of the people who say BB is bad is not going off outdated information or crappy sources. In the end, I want the people who call it bad, to actually play it and then give me feedback. Not go off what someone else heard, especially some obscure person at that, and then try to relay to me that it's a bad game, even though i'm trying to play it. You guys' commentary wouldn't have been nearly as frustrating to listen to, had I not known you all hadn't touched the game since CS1 or CS2. Either ways, I dealt with it because the majority of the people I was surrounded by thought the game was bad and I didn't feel like trying to defend the game.
  9. I don't understand why getting hype for a game (one that you've played most of your fighting game life) means that the hype you had for another game has died, it just doesn't make sense to me. I like BB, and i'm excited to see if BB3 can bring the feelings I had for the series back, what's wrong with expressing that hype? P4U is still a game that i'm hella psyched up to learn and play competitively. Second, I don't recall BB dying on a world-wide scale or whatever the hell form people are trying to say it did. Each iteration of BB has had a decent-sized community, was it huge? Hell no, but people stil gathered to play it. Even now, people still play BB, mainly Japan but still. You can find videos, streams, and even still go to locals where BB communities are engaging in it. We stopped running it here (because of low-turnouts apparently? Even though we said that wouldn't stop tournaments for it from being hosted but whatever). Another thing I have a problem with is the fact that people keep going on about BB being a bad game, even though most of the people who say this have never even gotten good at it, and take it out on the product rather than their own skills as players. It's too friggin frustrating to listen to, i'd rather people just not comment on the game at all. I wasn't really that pissed off until I looked back at your post Milln, that seriously got to me. That coupled with the fact every other BB tournament that hasn't been commentated on by Jackie, Naimat, or me sounds like it's the worst thing since (insert bad game here). I'm done venting for the day, off to find something more productive to do than posting on this friggin forum.
  10. Unfortunately, that's the most likely scenario here (even though imma call it the worst case scenario). Nothing wrong with showing a little bit of hype for BB3, it helped to cure a bit of the boredom I was having wating for P4U.
  11. Nah, I was just thinking about how Noel's optic barel instead of being a projectile move could be like a target that once you set out you can fire off a round from the gun and it would do something different depending on which version you use. Idk, my creativity levels for her moveset is ridiculous right now. I should probably use a different term.
  12. So...I just saw Noel with a fucking SHOTGUN!! GAME OVER, FUCKING GAME OVER!!!! Edit: On a serious note though, i'm really hoping Noel turns out to have a bigger assortment of guns at her disposal this time around. Each one having a different ability that affects how she goes about a match. Still praying for hit-marker set-ups and better mix-up potential (Even though, just giving me a better jump B will take care of that). Curious what they're going to do to her drives, yet again. Also hoping the shotgun doesn't turn out to just be combo fodder and her meta actually gets interesting to me again. This game's got me hot and bothered...maybe Also, i'm digging all the new characters, think i'm gonna play them all.
  13. Sorry, I just saw someone who kind of resembled what she was supposed to look like. That coupled with hype killed my sense of sight. Now that i'm calm (I literally just woke up and saw that shit, ran outside and dance about in the middle of the street like a giddy school-girl)
  14. CHRONO MUTHA FUCKIUN PHANTASM !! GIVE IT TO US RIGHT THIS TIME AKSYSTEM!!
  15. It is possible Naimat, i'll testify to that. Multiple of her persona moves can be moved out of by Elizabeth. As a matter of fact, if I were to comment I would say sacrificing Thanatos to get a whiff punish is one of her main strategies. It certainly seems more effective than sending him to suicide while Eli players sit back twittling their thumbs.
  16. It's even funnier because Narukami's DP is named "Big Gamble"
  17. Characters do have 5A>2A>5A gatlings, but they aren't auto-combo'ing into it. I think you can only auto-combo into the 5AA and 5AAA and so on.
  18. If I had to guess, most 5As don't gatling into themselves, but continue to go into they're AA and AAAs if you auto-combo. You'd probably have to wait for your character to completely finish the animation before doing it again for it to be 5A and not 5AA. If you're trying to go for 5AAA you'll have to go through the 5AA route. So many As.
  19. Also going to list a few of the discovered system mechanics from a few players in case you guys haven't checked out the front page: Wakeup Options -You cannot wake up backdash, there is a small window where you simply won't backdash at all. This is similar to BB's cant-backdash-immediately on landing introduced in CS1 onwards. You can still use roll, B+D, wakeup super, etc just fine. -There is no manual quick getup. The only ground option is to neutral tech or wait for your character to automatically quick getup. -The quick getup animation is cancelable into ANYTHING, including blocking. So you can't punish this at all, you either hit them while theyre knocked down, or you let them get back up. Counter Hit Properties -CH with normals, throws, and specials adds 10% more damage to the first attack, but it's not consistently so. It seems that some multi hitting attacks (such as yukiko's 5C or mitsuru's ground throw) do get 10% bonus damage on all hits, while others (such as Kanji's command throw) do not. only the first hit of kanji's command throw (where he tosses you to the wall and does 250ish damage) gets the 10% bonus. -CH with supers add 20% more damage. Similar inconsistencies found as above. -CH with throw adds more untech time -Fatals follow the same rules for damage bonus. Forgot to test things regarding wallstick/bounce and fatals Jumping, Air Options -You can not block for the first 5 or so frames once you are airborne. This makes 5As good for anti-chicken block. Double jumps do not suffer this penalty. -You regain all your air options (air dashes, double jumps) after you air normal block, air instant block, air ukemi, or break air throws -You can hold the button to air ukemi asap. This means you can stop piano-ing buttons during opponents combos -Like GG, you can not Superjump > double jump. You can only air dash after a super jump. (unless you regain your air options as described above Short Hop -Short hop appears to have Foot attribute invul on Frame 1. -You can not jump or air dash during short hop, even if you RC an attack. -You can not block during short hop at all. -Short hop has landing recovery. Command Interpreter -like BB, you can input things during super freeze and they execute immediately afterwards -No negative edging of specials -We could not tell if there was a hold-button-to-repeat-input thing like BB or if you could input dashes early like BB. It's pretty hard to test given that we aren't familiar with character's combos or frame data. -You need to input 22 to do 22 motions. Mikey (the soCal carl player) described it to me that carls use some special 32 input to summon nirvana during combos, but that doesn't seem to be an option ehre. In either case, I don't understand it well enough to explain it any better haha. Ask a carl player what he's talking about! Other stuff -mashing 4A will not give you the auto combo. Your character will simply do 5A and not cancel into anything. Mashing 6A will do the auto combo. Exception, Mitsuru can mash 4A for autocombo. -the super armor on A+B attacks will not guard against super attacks -Minimum Damage on supers appears to be 30% for most, but iirc we found a few that were 20% -Damage scaling will push damage of things down to 0, just like BB -some persona attacks will auto correct to attack in the direction of the opponent, even if you jump and air turn to face away from the opponent such as Teddie's j.C. -Teddie can hold down the item throw button to throw 2 items at once. -Teddie's persona wind up animation for item throwing has a hitbox haha. hits multiple times -No super cancel on whiff -No TRM -the last normal of an auto combo (5AAA for most chars) gives you 12 or 13 meter and refil a part of your burst gauge (1/8th?) -forgot to test how long SP gauge cooldown lasts.
  20. DLC Lyn? Oh yes, the gods shall tremble in fear at Fire Emblem Awakening reaching my hands! DLC Roy is too godlike.
  21. It'll do well, the game is going to be deep and fun. We just need the right people opening it up.
