  1. 4 years in BB, 8 in GG. Works for me, lol.
  2. Dizzy: How good is Dizzy's zoning game? It looks like almost everyone in the game has the normals, speed, and damage to deal with her tools. Her normals seem god-awful and her ability to approach without a projectile covering her makes me rage. When she does manage to get a hit-confirm, why does it feel like she just has to abandon any type of damage she could've gotten off her combos to ensure that she has the proper knockdown? It seems like having proper oki with her will make or break a game for a player. How true is this? Does she have reversal options? It seems like her pressure is lacking and her mix-up is weak, even with her projectiles out. Why does she work so hard for so little reward?
  3. I-No questions (Priority): What does I-No's initial gameplan consist of? From what i've played, it seems like her normals aren't exactly the best, how would you rate them? A lot of her jumping normals seem lack-luster as well, how hard is it for her to get in on people from the air using these normals alone? When it comes to mix-up, why does it feel like she relies heavily on launching her hat-projectile (the one that shoots out the green bubble) full-screen and then using/riding the momentum of the move to setup cross-up situations? And if this is so, then how good would you say that this complements her play-style. Is she a mix-up-heavy character? How well does she do at the neutral game? Does her pressure allow her to return to neutral easily? As a man who enjoys long pressure strings and locking down the opponent, forcing them to eventually swing wrong and punishing them, what does I-No have to offer me? How would you rate her oki? What are her reversal options? Who does she struggle against? Millia questions (Priority): How good are her normals? What are common ways Millia players apply their mix-ups? How effective are they? What is the risk-reward? Should I focus primarily on combos, or keeping my combos short into a good knock-down and force my opponent to play the guessing game on wake-up? What are her reversal options? Who does she struggle against? Dizzy (Priority): HOW DO I MAKE HER DO WORK?!?? Jam: Reversal options? Who does she struggle against? Ky: A general break-down please? A.B.A (Priority): Who does she struggle against? What's her gameplan? You don't have to answer all of these, I would like for my questions on characters marked with priority to get answered though. But whoever you know more on, go ahead and answer. Much appreciated.
  4. So yeah, been watching a bunch of P4U matches after patch. I came back and looked at Tad's post and for some reason I keep picturing him playing Narukami and us fighting in Grand Finals...weird
  5. @Papstr: Page 549, it's right there. @Klein: That's why most people ask the question, are you joking or not before shooting off their mouth about a topic (Milln does this btw because he understands that it sucks getting countered by option selects.) Also, I know my debate isn't strong, but I can say the same for a lot of people's critical thinking skills as well. But again, i've never have a full argument with anyone so where you're basing this analysis i'm not sure. Might want to do a cross-examination dude. Also, yes, you and your beard is very cool. @Tophet: I get where you're coming from but the fact of the matter is, I would literally have to drive OUT-OF-STATE to get BB competition regularly (Maybe not even that). I probably wouldn't go as far as selling my games, but without competition there would be absolutely no need for me to keep doing what I do now (which is constantly try to figure out a match-up, etc...). Edit: Also Klein, see me in tournament and then you can critize me on my defenses bro. Oh yeah, LAWLS!
  6. Well, if you guys wouldn't try so hard to take everything I say seriosuly you may have been able to notice the "LAWLS" I put in that post which would've possibly gave indication of whether I was joking or not. I'm done explaining this shit, now you guys are just being ignorant.
  7. Calling me out on what? There's nothing to call out. I like all the games I play, but I like playing them competitively just as much. What do you need for that? A tournament scene. If the one we have here crumbles, chances are I won't find another one in the South for Blaz. Surely you don't expect me to keep playing games that I can't continue to be competitive in. Or do you expect me to try and be competitive on Net-play? Come on man, get serious. Or should I just spend hours on end playing in training and studying frames, match-ups, and learning combos knowing that i'll never get to apply them in an actual match outside of Net-play? Your logic is, as you would put it, weak. I recommend you try using common sense before trying to call someone out sir, IF that's what you're implying. I guarantee I put more time into all my fighters more than anyone in this thread. @Milln: I posted that comment knowing fully well how he wanted me to interpret it. The post itself was just too idiotic to respond to it any other way. If he wasn't trying to call anyone out, then you sir, are an instigator, bravo.
  8. Looks impossible for me currently. Might be able to swing it every once in the blue moon, but definitely nothing consistant, bon voyage MTN crew. I hardly knew thee.
  9. I don't recall ever saying I needed one to enjoy a game. I do however require one to stay competitive in a fighting game, there's a difference. I can enjoy a game all I want, but the fact of the matter is, the only thing that keeps me from just pressing my buttons all day and not giving a damn is the fact that I have other people around me who are willing to do the same.
  10. Oh I can, Jackie. You see, I have a particular set of skills... Also, it's confirmed. Dead Space 3 is going to be godly. Anyone who doesn't know what this game is is a very sad person.
  11. Well, aren't we having fun digging up the scraps of posts that I discarded.
  12. Yeah guys, the very slim chance we had of having get-togethers just...got...slimmer? As for dropping game careers, I might as well go ahead and do that now and save myself some disapointments later on: Blazblue - No one plays that **** in the south (dropped) AH3 - Never stood a chance (Been got dropped) P4U - Have high hopes, but I doubt it (dropped) Selling my games tomorrow morning when I wake up, Lawls.
  13. So Hickory Hollow is finally kicking the bucket eh? Took em long enough, even though I will give the mall respect for fighting as long as it did. Sucks to hear, but such is life. @Jackie: The arcade's planning to say bye-bye far away from here from what I was last told. It kind of sucks because that's the last thing America needs, the loss of another arcade. I wonder if we can file to have arcades become endangered species. Sucks to say, but MWC might be the last time I see any of you blokes, (Insert derp face here).
  14. @Milln: Last two options bro. @papstr: It's a mystical place where the darkness can't follow Papstr. See, when you go outside, there's this big round thing in the sky. We call that a sun. Everyday the sun rises to give us this thing called "sunlight" something very good for you that you can only get by coming out of your house. In a sense, it is an endgame dungeon, but with a huge power up just for being in the dungeon so to speak.
  15. We have friends that don't go outside because they're weeaboo fgts? Sorry I missed the gathering you were hosting Naimat. I'll try and make it to the next one. I gotta say though, I really wish I didn't have to travel every time to get some matches in. We should consider alternating where we host events if it's possible. I doubt it is due to some circumstances, but it's wprth throwing out there.
  16. That's probably because you aren't used to Jackie saying anything that doesn't sound like it came out of the mouth of a 13-year-old white pre-teen. I also like how the one MTN we start ACTUALLY having set-ups and playing Gear (only a little bit), we get an announcement for the next one. This is a sign people, I'd best recommend you listen to it. I'm also looking forward to seeing a large number of people getting the game only to say "this is hard" and drop it like Klein mentioned. It'll be interesting to see for sure. I like how I-No only got like one addition to her rebalance. And that was like what? A second air-dash? I guess she is perfect the way she is so there was no need for any corrections. I forgot to check Millia's stuff, but since I haven't played the game enough to understand her moveset I wouldn;t be able to tell if they were buffs or nerfs anyway. Dizzy still sounds like trash though.
  17. Was going to do shoutouts, but that's not about to happen. So instead, I'll just say ggs to all. Tad, thanks for re-kindling the love I have for Gear a bit. As someone who has been able to do nothing but watch the game for the past two years it's frustrating to watch my hype levels die, then spark up, then die, and so on and so forth due to never having a personal set-up that I can practice on. I also appreciate you trying to get me a set-up. Also Naimat, i'll probably be coming over tomorrow. Unfortunately, I won't be playing Gear, seeing as preparing fo MWC by switching my main to Mu-12 will be my top priority these next few weeks. Yup, no more Noel (that felt really good to say).
  18. I may or may not show up today, depends on my mood.
  19. HAVE YOU GUYS FOUGHT A GOOD EXTEND TAGER YET?!
  20. No no no no no no no. You guys really don't understand, TAGER IS POTEMKIN! Except with Magnets...
  21. That's the only way to get good in any game, amigo. I'm probably going to drop Guilty Gear off of my list of games to play competitively. I just graduated today myself and all I can say is, planning to dive into SC5 like I had been meaning to do since it first released (money issues prevented me from doing so). That's probably going to be my main focus until P4U comes out and I drop everything for that. I doo hope that the many of you who keep saying you love Guilty actually study the game and learn it. I talked to Volpe earlier and he was studying the heck out of the new complete tutorial on GG that Dustloop has (I'd recommend you all do the same). I really want to see our scene have better players in the games they play overall, even if I never get to fight any of you in them. Edit: Just watched that match Astaroth, your opponent's Dante had some really solid mix-ups. X23 looks like a real trick to deal with though, that speed is ridiculous. How is that match-up for Hulk?
  22. GRADUATING THIS SATURDAY!! GET HYPE!!!
