Dumb question but, were all of Mu's changes listed in that CSX thread in the archive? It did not seem like an awful lot of changes were made to Mu. I do apologize I have done very little research into CSX since I was not initially going to purchase the cash-grab. >.> Anyways I practiced a few links(with CS2). Like throw>6A stuff, and 6C fatal > 5D > Detonate > stuff. Made a crappy 4k combo off of that even with my lackluster execution. It's no 7k but that still isn't too shabby. Does 632146C have a bigger vertical hitbox? It seems like it connects a lot easier on opponents that are juggled above her head even.

Glad you could make an appearance Blinky. As mentioned we are definitely looking for more people. Hopefully we can find some people to help resolve your situational issues in the future!

I'll stick to waiting. Unfortunately I am being killed at work so grinding out combos on free time seems like the last thing I would bother doing. Soon though.

I tried the demo I don't actually have it sadly. The game seemed great and all but I tried the netplay function that came with it.... With a guy I have a 3bar with in BB it was completely unplayable in KoF. It might have to wait until an offline meeting can be done. Edit: The player I tried it with is also an IL native. He just doesn't post on DL as far as I know.

>.> wow a unicorn! I just watched some stuff on CSX Mu and she looks like she got a lot of goodies. I hope to have some time to learn them. Unlike this CS2 abomination I play.

Hey I am hosting a Farewell to CS2 room on PSN here in a little while. If anyone wants to join they can feel free. I plan to try(keyword) and record a lot of this in HD. My desktop's HD is only 150gb(it's a 10k RPM Raptor is why) so I am not sure how much I can store. Also, just in case you guys don't know, at the end of this month I will be 28. Or 7 if you want to go by how many ACTUAL birthdays I have had. Yay Leap Day.... I would like to try KoF13. However, if it has bad netcode and it is a fighting game, you can bet that I won't be playing it since I have no one else to play it with. :/

I just think that the fighting game community seems to be spread out a lot more in our state than others. It does not help that we have one of the tallest states in the union either. Bordering cities from different states will also hopefully check this thread out as well. If you are a player that is lurking and live in IL PLEASE COME OUT OF THE SHADOWS! We need every body. As for games I play: I stick to mostly BlazBlue and Arcana Heart 3(PS3 no 360). I started with CT and am still a faithful servant of the Azure Grimoire. I wouldn't mind trying some other stuff but I am generally turned off by Capcom fighters(doesn't mean I hate on them). I also play MTG the card game if anyone else is into that. Other than that I do mostly single player games since I do not have a lot of free time. I work a LOT. I play Noel, Hakumen, and Mu in BB and Heart/Love in AH3. Ask me anything about Noel or Hakumen and I might be able to answer it. I am learned but not so skillful as a player. Mu is like a pet project.... That's all I have for now. Edit: We also have to post semi-regularly or this post will get swallowed up by the abyss of larger scenes.

I forget Mugen is even there most of the time(same with Revolver Blast). It just seems like a waste to me. It's cool as hell though. Just entirely too impractical. By the time you can use it it just doesn't seem necessary. I am with Mac on this one. :P

After playing one particular Tager a whole bunch(3 wins, hundreds of losses), I learned that there is no fun way to fight Tager(with any character). It seems almost anything outside of 4/6C can be punished with a command grab. Also this leading into a Gadget Finger set-up is why people want to burst ASAP. At least for me, I have a very hard dealing with Gadget Finger while using Hakumen. This absolutely needs to be avoided. Any more I just play like absolutely nothing is safe. I wish they didn't make Tager the way they did but that is not something we can change. For reference I get wrecked using Noel/Hakumen/Mu. All of them. Although my Mu has a marginally higher chance of winning. Edit: I also don't get much time to play so my views may not necessarily be shared.

The BB Community, EVO, Netplay, and the FGC.
Arcknight replied to St1ckBuG's topic in BlazBlue Gameplay
There are probably many people out there who have situations similar to mine. I live in western IL, bordering IA(seemingly a dead-zone), and the closest scene would be at least 3 hours away in Chicago. There are no gaming events at all in this area either. After trying to spark interest amongst my friends I am still left with nothing but netplay. Netplay or no play. I would very much like to have some people to play games with offline, and to travel to big tournaments, but it just is not always feasible due to things people have mentioned previously. I do post quite a few replays up on my YouTube channel to hopefully get some random people interested in the game. I feel like I am the only BlazBlue/Arcana Heart player in my area(although that might not be true). Also, a lot of these communities seem to be polarized in certain geographical areas(larger populations most likely) and not everyone has the luxury to be live in these places. Even still, we can't give up hope. -
According to the Directory Thread the guide has "not yet been made". I guess it was delayed/forgotten about. So our tutorial is definitely inadequate. Directory: http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?10712-Noel-Directory-For-CS2-READ-BEFORE-POSTING-A-NEW-THREAD!!! If you seek system related information then check here. In the individual character sections, selecting a move shows the hitbox throughout its animation! System Guide: http://dustloop.com/guides/bbcs2/ If you have already searched into those topics and require more specific information, you need only ask about it. What exactly were you having trouble with? The best way to learn, is to do. At least in my experience. Some things you will only grow comfortable with through trial and error. New combos and pressure styles don't always start out peak performance. You may just need more match experience. Edit: I should mention there is a transition period between CS2 and CSX going on. So please specify what version you are asking about!(it may be relevant) :D

I tried backdashing after neutral tech. I ate a bunch of 5C's to the face and quit trying. lol
-
It might be "usable", however, that is not the same as "useful". Very rarely have I benefited from a backdash with Noel. Any time it has ever successfully dodged anything I have been utterly shocked. Even if it could beat Tager's 5A, would it still not lose to 5/4D and whatever else? Tager is such an asshole.
-
I have never been able to escape command grabs in this manner myself. Unless I just never actually tried. If that is true then most people should just jump away and "choose" not to. I find it odd that people are assuming both players are activating these abilities in a vaccuum. Most of the time active frames of a throw can overlap your non-throw invulnerable "pre-jump" frames. But I guess that is also wrong since you are apparently unable to be grabbed in that scenario either. Tager can just 5A and basically crush anything Noel can do anyways. Especially after a Gadget Finger. Now I am just wondering why I have lost so many times to a command grab. Edit: No one should ever advocate Noel to backdash away from anything. It is not Hakumen-bad but it is pretty close.

Having options is always a good thing. An example of a character without options was CS1 Noel. Look how awesome she was because you had to rely on counter-hits almost exclusively. Change a few gatlings and properties and suddenly they are overpowered and brain-dead. The only brain-dead characters in the game, in MY opinion, were Hazama and Ragna. Since they both drown in all the meter they have(had? Not so up to date on them with CS2. I just know they had plenty at all the right times.).
-
I agree with you Thunder. I like CSX a lot more(though the entire idea of it being called such is underwhelming). Also, nice avatar yet again Cor.
-
Oh thank you. Now that you mention that I do vaguely recall that being possible.
-
Thanks. Clears up a lot of questions I was having. My super-awesome Tager pressure strategy will not work any more. 5A x N.........no more. I will miss you troll combo.
-
That new 6A is Boss. The wall-bounce is icing on the already delicious cake. I also really enjoyed seeing one of the players finish up an air-combo, that was low, by using j.2A>j.B>j.2A>j.C. Pretty fantastic. The Stuff>j.B>5A>Stuff looks really amazing as well. Could you always special cancel his air-throw? I have never seen air-throw>Hotaru done before.
-
Not exactly Noel specific but, has anyone posted about those proposed system adjustments earlier in the first loctest? I was wondering if any of that stuff made it into the final version of the game.
-
That video showed Renka bouncing them rather high in the corner. I hope that does not present a potential problem. The 2C still managed to connect fine but it looks like it could easily be missed. It might be nothing.
-
You mean d.5b no longer blows the opponent away mid-screen? If so that is awesome. That attack served absolutely no purpose outside corner push and maaaaybe hitting a teching opponent with a follow-up OB©. I am probably the only one that ever tried that though ha. It will be interesting to see if CSX makes wider tier gaps than the "older" version of the game.

I know how you feel Tbolt. I really do not want a new disc. I still do not have the platinum trophy for CS. Only need 100 ranked matches and level 50. I am not sure if I can stomach 40 more ranked matches.
-
Come on Mac you know you want it to be true. I somehow missed the point of throw being special cancelable again. That is boss!
-
Of any character I think he's the least likely to become auto-pilot. Personal opinion here.
