Valkenhayn's wolf mix-up:
-
Yes I only meant to imply I wasn't intentionally trying to spam up your general thread with such narrow focused content. My apologies regardless. And I know he wouldn't do 5D on oki. Just that he could lol. I'll refrain from posting stuff like that in the future.~
-
Well being 2 from the bottom necessitates a bump. So +1! Keep up the chatter guys we need to keep this on the fresh side so people can see it.

I'm no professional Mu player but I do know Hakumen a bit. If he knocks you into a corner but cannot follow up he can easily space you with 4/6C(both are air-unblockable) and nullify Mu's DP and irresponsible jump-outs. 4C being special cancelable lets him get in for free with a forced block+whatever else he wants to do. If he is on top of you looking for oki options he can: 5D to eat Mu's DP, TK Tsubaki for a quick-and-deadly overhead and ground-slide, throw for a strong damage starter. In the corner it almost becomes a Gadget Finger problem vs. Haku. For anyone really. If you notice the player mashing a lot of Drives just back throw them into the corner and start your own destruction. Zoning him specifically is also not always the greatest either. If he cuts a laser in the wrong place it can ruin that idea in a hurry. There's a lot more to get into but I don't have a lot of time and this isn't a match-up forum! Honestly just force blocks here and there and run in for throws whenever you can. Gets around his Drive entirely!

I've mained Noel in all of them too but get worse with each iteration. :/
-
Personally I loooooved guard crushing people with a burst. It gave bursting some very unique flavor that it now lacks. And I MUCH and more preferred insta-curse to can't-get-it-the-fuck-off-me-damnit-I'm-dead-curse with his stupid ass cousin curse-on-block-because-it's-just-that-fucking-awful. I just hate the crappy ass bursts in these later games. I only use them for gold burst reversals since green are garbage. Okay I'll stop with my hate of the current system mechanics.
-
I have to make sure I plan around Dark's schedule. I don't want my Noel to get bodied by any more Tagers than she has to. Kidding aside, I think they said the Ignite lounge. Don't take my word for gold since I am not even in Chicago. I am not sure a time was technically agreed upon either. Personally I am still hesitant to commit to anything on the 25th. Although through some recent developments my 12hr shifts at work have finally been abolished and order has been restored. Back to a 3-8s schedule with hopefully very little Saturday overtime work. Blaaah I hate reality.~

Ya well it was closer to a meter than primers! >.>
-
Ya. I liked that system though. Primers blow. I know I am in the minority on that though.
-
It seems like they are really trying to push more guard crushing into the game by finding ways to knock out more primers. Then they counter that mentality with less ways to actually break those primers. I still doubt we'll see an abundance of guard crushes. Can we just get a damn meter already? :/

A little more information about yourself might be helpful. Mostly, from where do you hail? If you are near Blinky maybe you could help him out! :D Anyways, welcome to our small group of misfits.

The Tsubaki boards are like old people. They all go to bed around 8pm it seems. Nothing there shows up overnight unless I post it. That is how I view it. Although the people there can be entertaining. It's no NVG but hey.... /troll
-
I'd rather not. Too many bad experiences from that cesspool of a retail establishment. Besides I can afford to wait since I can't really play much anyways right now. As far as the 25th I am not sure I will commit to that or not. I may end up having to work the night before(uuuggghhhh). I also have Saturday set aside to hang out with certain people. Unless maybe they may want to go on a road trip as well. Who knows? I will let you know. If not another month waiting will surely not kill me.
-
It seems others who ordered it off of Amazon got screwed as well. I am not even sure what the point of having pre-orders are if they can't be fulfilled. /shrug Also shout-outs to more people coming in. And we are all not from Chicago. I would kill for someone to show up that isn't 3 hours+ away.

Looks like my copy of CSX is out of stock so I have no idea when I will be getting that. This is the second time I have been sold something that couldn't be sent to me. Why the fuck do people sell me shit they can't give me? O.o
-
I actually do not mind working at night. But lately I really REALLY need a change of pace. Daytime hours work best for the rest of the world. Also working 12's endlessly sucks even more ass when you work night shift. RAWR! Happy V-Day IL I am going to bed tired and sick feeling.

Exactly how much bandwidth is suitable to stream BB anyways? I can get AH3 to work with netplay but I can't even get BB to work well with offline stuff. Unless there are computer hardware conflicts I am not aware of. Streaming is a nightmare. ; ; /offtopic Oh and Yuki, everything is in Luna's favor. EVERYTHING......

Given the fact that I wake up at 3pm that does not exactly work for me. Throw in the 3 hour drive time and that seems like a disaster. If you all want to run with that that is fine. Just may not work for me. At least until I quit/find day work. My current job is about ready to get my resignation to be totally honest. Edit: It is actually pretty relevant since I got a job interview sometime in these next two weeks for a(hopefully) day job.
-
Well Shin that sounds like a plan. If you guys can decide on regular meetings then I can organize around that. I work nights so I wake up in the afternoon. That and the drive time=evenings for me. Exactly what kind of windows of time are you looking for? Also one or two days? I have no problem hanging around since cost is no object to me. But I know not everyone is in the same boat. Sorry for the fuster cluck but I am in a rush before heading to work.
-
I feel the same way usually. Unfortunately I think that mindset is in the minority rather than the majority.
-
You are absolutely right about that Shin. People need to feel like they are competitive to an extent. Although, people need to actually be willing to try in the first place. That seems to be the biggest hurdle to overcome in my experience. Especially when people see Arcana Heart and say: "WTF is this girly bs?" Leave Heart Aino alone Science damnit!! I lost my train of thought.... Yes. I will have some toast.
-
That picture is amazingly well drawn. Subject matter aside. Good thing I won't miss much from CS2 since I had no idea how to do great things with Mu(or anyone else) to begin with.
-
Everyone started somewhere. I think people need to get over the fact that people are better based on experience. Of course they are better they learned the ins and outs already. People need to realize they have to dedicate a little bit of time to get the hang of things. It does take a while to learn fighting games totally from scratch but it's not impossible by any means. To reiterate: Everyone started out somewhere knowing little to nothing.
-
2C was pretty good. Good recovery and hitbox. Oh well I am sure Mu will survive.
-
I was just trying to get used to using steins mid-combo. It's a pretty foreign concept to me since I never really learned any combos utilizing that. Anything I knew was from CS1 and it wasn't even that much to begin with. Mu isn't exactly a character I was ever serious about but enjoyable nonetheless. As far as AA nerfs go doesn't 6A still suffice? Hakumen just got his 6A back in some decent form. It could be worse.
