  1. Ok, you will bring her back to me... but for two McChickens, you can keep her. >_>

  2. Yeah. Is there a ggxx.OLD file in your folder? If so, try deleting your current ggxx.exe, rename ggxx.OLD to ggxx.exe, and then run the patcher.
  3. Aside from the standard dubious curve loop, you could also opt for the variation, which contains only three reps, but it ends with you having a 3-ball setup. Isamu takes a strong liking to this version of the dubie loop. corner throw > k DC > 5k > 6p > DC > s/d ball > 2s > DC > ball summon The same combo works from the setups that everyone else mentioned above, except in cases where Venom is too far away to land the otg 5k. In cases where you're trying to do it on a grounded opponent, like FaultyDefense mentioned, it would warrant frc'ing the k DC and a slight dash-in to get in range in order to continue with 5k > 6p and the rest of the loop.
  4. Well, I don't think it's at all necessary to make another lobby unless you were trying to do a private tourney or something. Otherwise, if you're just trying to play with a friend without being bothered by others in the lobby, then you could just play in any of the unused lobbies. www.nurupodensetsu.com/ggn/delay1/ggnlobby.cgi www.nurupodensetsu.com/ggn/delay3/ggnlobby.cgi www.nurupodensetsu.com/ggn/delay5/ggnlobby.cgi www.nurupodensetsu.com/ggn/delay6/ggnlobby.cgi The most people play on these two: www.nurupodensetsu.com/ggn/delay4/ggnlobby.cgi guiltygear.wingdreams.net/lobby.cgi If you really want to have your own lobby, then you'd have to have your own server to host it, create a lobby script, and other stuff that I don't know. Perhaps someone else who knows more about it can come along and explain it. Again, if you're trying to play with anyone, then you could just use those last two, since many people play on them.
  5. Yeah, if you're going strictly by muscle memory, and the frc point and all other things are the same for both versions, then yes, delay frame shouldn't affect timing. However, I think a lot of people frc not only with muscle memory but with visual cues as well, and that's where I think it throws them off. They would have to adapt to delay 4 by hitting pks 4 frames ahead of their normal visual cue. Doing so repeatedly would eventually lead to a new visual cue being formed, replacing the normal one. When they finally go back to play offline in 0 delay conditions again, they inadvertently use the same visual cue that they used with #R online; as a result, it throws off their offline frc'ing and whatnot. At least... that's what I'm guessing happens.
  6. Doesn't affect mine. For me, it's like I have a different muscle memory for #R online and AC, which is to say that when I play #R after playing AC, it seems like my muscle memory immediately changes to accommodate the delay frame, and vise versa when I switch from #R to AC. It's almost as if I treat the two as two completely different games... so in turn, my game in either one is not negatively affected by playing the other.
  7. KKL, the Japanese players primarily use the delay 2 lobby, so most of the North American and European players play with the delay 4 setting in the delay 4 lobby, so try that one instead. Yes, being in the room will make you appear to be idle, generally speaking. There are instances though, where you will appear as No Response to certain other people, or vice versa, but that's a whole different story. Welcome, and have fun.
  8. Yeah, that's something I wouldn't expect from N-O, seeing as he's played in so many SBO's before that. He's been rocking in the small a-cho tournaments they have regularly though.
  9. I'll bet that you copied and pasted the url for the lobby address. Typically, most everyone uses the delay 4 lobby (besides the Japanese), so make sure you have the right url. Either that, or you forgot to remove the "http//:" from the address if you copied and pasted it. I'm guessing that, in your case it is the latter, so make sure the lobby address starts with "www"
  10. Air-Master (IN) vs Frost (Ky)
  11. Apologies for going off topic, but damn... I had no idea that RC macro caused delay. How much delay incurs, if you know right off?
  12. Those reps are proof that I have a long way to go... way too unsafe and random on my part. I must go back to the drawing board for this. Open to tips
  13. 1. If they are "busy," you just have to wait until they finish the match. With the "No Response" ones, you'll have to wait until they finish their match as well, which is when their status will become "idle." However, there are some people who seen as "No Response" that stay that way forever; that's due to stuff that I can't really explain. 2. The person you tried to watch must've had a ping that was too high. In most cases, the ping has to be 70-80 ms or below in order for you to be able to spectate the person's match. If the ping is around that limit, it oftentimes takes many tries before you can spectate the match successfully. The lower the ping is, the easier it is to spectate them. From my own experiences, I've never been able to watch anyone whose ping was over 80 ms. Also, your failure to be able to watch people's may be due to the fact that they have disallowed it in ggxxnet config, by setting relay to 0. This prohibits others from being able to connect to them to watch their matches. However, if the person's opponent has it enabled, then you can watch the match by connecting to him instead, provided his ping is low enough. Another thing... the person you're trying to watch may have that option enabled, but if he has it set to 1, that means that only one person can spectate at a time. If you try to spectate while that other person is already doing so, then it will also fail in that case. The "Gallery" column on the lobby screen indicates how many people are watching a particular match. 3. It sounds like you're describing a case where the person has finished his match with someone, and he is returned to the lobby with a status of "idle." When one is "idle," it means that he can then be challenged by yourself or whomever else. Most of the time, people don't just play each other for just one match, so when they are returned to the lobby, they rechallenge the same person again immediately. Note: when a person appears as "idle" but their ping freezes (it stagnates on one number forever) that means the person has exited the lobby. If you try to play him under this case, "play" will just dim out, and his status will change to No Response, which I think is what you saw. Man, I get so long-winded
  14. Yes, that is Nanashi. The thing that sets what Nanashi does in that vid, and the one from the Outstanding Combo Clips is in the combo clips, Venom is dashing in, while maintaining the charge, while nanashi is just doing it without the dash. I know that when you do c.s -> carcass -> c.s -> carcass, there's actually a bit of leeway for inputting the carcass. You can go to neutral for a bit, and the charge is still kept. However, if you apply this to the combo clips scenario, you'd have to do something like this: [2] c.s -> 8s -> 6[3] c.s -> 8s -> 6[3] c.s -> 8s I don't know whether that be humanly possible or not, but I know that I can't do that, maybe because I'm a pad player? You'd have to do 6[3] in about the same amount of time that it would take to go from 8s to charging 2 in the standard c.s -> carcass reps. Correct me if I'm wrong on (I know I probably got the notation wrong).
  15. Where have you been, sir? Welcome back
  16. Apparently, you're using a patch that is 1.20 or older. Upgrade to the 1.20-3, and then run the game. Enter the lobby, exit, and close your game. Then go back to your #R folder and check the configuration settings file. It should now have IgnoreslowConnections=1.
  17. Which version of the patch are you using?
  18. Yes. Open ggxxnet, which is a configuration settings file, with notepad. Change Ignore Slow connections to 0 (default is 1), and then save the change. That should fix the ping over thing, if he's not like in Russia or some other place of great distance away from you. As for the color edit thing, the drop down menu to change characters is just to the right of Sol. If yours is like mine, it is hidden behind the big, black square that takes up much of the space just beneath "Color Edit." You can reveal its location by stretching the config window.
  19. I can help you with that if you still don't get it
  20. I think Coungster was the anchor for Team Europe at SBO 2005, if my facts are correct.
  21. Anyone know who the song is by in this vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UBOLpKF4O4&fmt=18 I assume the name of the song is "Rise," but I don't know who the artist is.
  22. I present to you sir, the world famous double Shitsu rape on Pot video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXxaWCMXnsI The goodies starts at 2:57. Ang doesn't even negative edge the shitsu, which saved his ass near the end of that second round when he tried to go for an FB shitsu and messed it up, due to pot getting hit. The timings change somewhat noticably for when the first shitsu hits, is blocked, or FD'ed, so keep that in mind as well.
  23. Better save them badboys
  24. Yeah Ruinz, you might wanna edit your post or delete it, because now it looks like you are talking to Beowulf, since those other posts got deleted.
  25. It is worth it. I do it; the Japanese pros do it; you should TOO!!!
