Montreal: Le Thread Generale Pour Weeaboo Fighters

Your joystick is not broken, is it? It's all Sanwa parts, so unless you want to esthetically change it, or something is broken, there is nothing for you to do ! The joystick and buttons on a TE are perfect as is functionally. You could change the spring of the joystick if you wanted it to be stiffer, but that would make you uneasy everytime you used someone elses stick when you got used to it. For the mod all you need is the board from Toodles and a Neutrick jack to fit on your Select (Back) Button. Everything else you might need will be included. The Neutrick jack comes with 2 screws necessary to use it and the Kitty Board comes with ribbon cables to hook it up ! -

To get a Kitty board, Pedro, PM Toodles on SRK directly, tell him what stick you have and give him your address. He will tell you how much money to paypal to him and will send you the right stuff. Be sure to tell him you have the TE-S style stick and that you will also need a Neutrik RJ45 jack AND that you live in Canada. It will probably be 49$ for the Kitty, 9$ for shipping and another 9$ for the Neutrick IF he keeps them in stock. You might be forced to get the Neutrick from somewhere else. You can't get the Kitty board anywhere except directly from him because he hasnt passed them to vendors yet. Also, Steb, if you read this and need help rebuilding a stick with your case, let me know. -

BTW, i checked on the MATVIII website and couldnt find any details about scheduling. I know it was mentioned somewhere in this thread but i can't quite find it anymore. Is there somewhere we can go to double check what events are happening when? maybe on our Twitter page? like when is BB tourny, GG tourny and the various casuals etc.. Thanks ! -

Pedro, i will help you bring the TVs back to HQ after the event. Im waiting to fill out the spreadsheet because i might be able to bring both sticks or just one depending on if my friend comes with me or not. I will fill it up very soon, but you can count on my help to bring stuff back afterwards. -

The challenge number 10 is a perfect example of a strong FRKZ combo. It doesnt involve the j4C loop either. The j4C loop just isnt strong anymore because there are better moves to cycle through, proration wise. A strong FRKZ combo will cycle through 2D (once) 6D (once) jD (once) 5C (as many as possible) 6C (as many as possible). That's the entire drive behind FRKZ combos now. You can get very creative on how you link the moves, you don't have to do what pros do either. Learning to j4C loop, however, will naturally improve your execution with everything else. -
Thank you so much ! Wow, Thanks Zeth, i wasnt expecting to get a Youtube up of the video. You guys are grand.

Freezerburn: 5a has nerfed startup from 5 frames to 6 frames, it's now the same as most people's 5a. 5a has buffed recovery from 12 frames to 9 frames. This is a huge buff because of it 5a has buffed frame advantage, from -3 to 0 (if not cancelled) As for bang's bnb, his corner carry combo takes alot of practice. Alot of practice. ALOT of practice. It's not hard but you must grind it a ton. His best combos are not available much in online matches, check the bang forums for the real stuff. Bang gained massive combo freedom, which to some players is a bad thing. It's very difficult to figure out what the best thing to do is. You can make your own combos easily, just remember the following: If you want damage, avoid using 5a, 2a, jD or webnail in combos as MUCH as possible (sometimes it can't be helped though). Use Super Crash and Air Super Crash once EACH per combo. Don't ever do the same one twice, but try as much as you can to use both one time. Getting seals is very difficult, the combos that yield seals are very strict in timing and corner specific. So much so that i've only seen Nezu ATTEMPT them in matches, and he dropped them 50% of the time in every single match. The biggest issue is that the corner gobbles up your webnail before it can hit the opponent. FRKZ is more super saiyan then ever before. I don't have the proper words to describe what it has become. It's Bangworthy. -

Brice, i got some things that might cheer you up. -
You're right about the combo ending rather quick, the j.623B is the culprit for making the combo end sooner then others. It's P2 value is 84, which could be better. Without heat you can try the B nail cancel into another normal with better proration. The best would maybe be 6C, it's P2 is 94. i never tried it in the corner but i had difficulty landing a 6C after a B nail canceled air throw mid screen. I'll try again when i get home from work. Another trick using the same principle, this is a mind trick more then a combo; if you air throw very close to corner, it makes you reappear closer to the opponnent then normal. Allowing you to cancel the second hit with j.623C (air command grab). This will result in a purple throw, however if they tried to tech the green throw at all and were too late, they will probably get an automatic throw reject miss due to having tried a few frames prior. I have not tried this in a real match yet. Obviously this can lead to rapid canceling the throw into some of our best combos near corner. this doesnt work mid screen, bang reappears at normal distance from opponent and is too far to command grab.

Keep in mind TKing 623B means doing the input for the exploding nail, all 623 moves can be TKed with 62369 motions. But for this one it doesnt work because another move shares the 2369B motion and is prioritized by the game when possible. -

For the most part this is true, but Bang's TK j623B (phoenix) motion has to be jump installed to work. In other words, you have to do 923B or 8623B for it to work right off the ground. Any attempt to do 62369B will net you an exploding nail. Also, krew, something i forgot to mention, end ALL nail directional motions with the 9. That's how you tell the game you want a nail and not his similar moves like 623C and 623B and j.D. So always do 2369C or 2369D for those nails if you want to avoid headaches. -
Thanks man ! Glad to come up with something original and practical for us to use.

there is a trick to this. There is something unwritten about C nails that you have to experience to understand. If you're trying jD, 2369 C and having trouble it's because of the following: j D has a minor bounce to it, meaning when you slam the opponent down they hit the ground, then lift off again for a moment, and finally settle on the ground again before their untech time starts running down. in order to combo after the webnail, you must make sure the webnail hits them when theyre done bouncing. This sounds complicated but all it really means is a split second delay before you throw the webnail. here's how i do it. 5b, 2b, 6c, jD, 2369 (hold 9 for 2 frames) C, land, etc what this does is it makes bang jump cancel the jD in the 9 direction, and if you fire the C nail immediately after the jump cancel it has to go farther before reaching the opponent, so they'll be just done with the bouncing in time to get webbed. This does not work on Rachel because Rachel is fat. Lay off the crumpets, Rachel. -
a very strong combo i found while analyzing frame data: bang's airthrow is 3 hits hit 1 - P100 can't be canceled hit 2 - P100 can be special canceled hit 3 - P55 can be special canceled i am taking this directly from dustloop's frame data. The reason why Bang's airthrow daifunka in corner does 3k damage now and used to do 5k in CS is mostly because of the third hit prorating so hard. But if you special cancel the second hit (when bang reappears) into a j.623B you can skip that prorated move and still get 5128 damage off any air throw near corner. You can even do it from further away then before. Airthrow, j.623B, land, d.5B, 623B, Daifunka. must cancel into j.623B as soon as bang reappears, dashing 5B is necessary if far from the corner. even without heat, this trick should always be used if you land an airthrow near corner because the proration is very much in bang's favor, any combo you get off this starter will be great damage. Enjoy my discovery !

NO HAND CRAMP CAN STOP YOU !! YOU'RE ALL STRONGER THAN THAT ! RARRRRR !!!! Fuu Rin Ka Zan has taught me long ago; any combo can be ground into flesh and absorbed into the soul ! -
