Montreal: Le Thread Generale Pour Weeaboo Fighters
kaeru replied to BladeOfJustice7's topic in International
I guess I'll be there on Sunday ! No choice now, heh. It's going to rain anyway, not the greatest weather for biking ! The more i think about it the more i think this might be a good middle ground for you kirby, and i've been looking to sell this stick, if i can mod it up for you instead, it would make me happy. I don't wanna mention prices on forum though, i'd rather just talk to you and let you see how it feels. Also, Pedro: bring your PS3 stick, im sure cranky has tools for taking sticks apart somewhere. This is a TORX bit EDIT: I just looked at your link Pedro, it's not the same stick that i modded but it's built exactly the same inside. Buttons directly soldered to the circuit board. It's pretty annoying to work with and there isnt much to see when you open it up. Just crappy buttons. But i don't have the tri wing bit that they seem to be talking about in the forum -

TE sticks are square gate. And i can get you an octagonal gate if you want one. Since this one is for you i'd give it will definitely be a special price. I can bring it with me if i pass by on Sunday if you wanna check it out. It's brand new in the box right now, i haven't modded it, yet. -

If i had to guess i'd say it's a torx bit? but torx is 6 points not 3.. so i'm not sure. I tried googling tri-ace but got many different bits, all the regular ones. The stick i modded for my friend was the Hori EX2, i had to take it apart, get rid of the crappy buttons, put in Sanwas. The problem was, like i said, the buttons were directly soldered to the board. So i had to get soldering braid to clean it up and add wires and quick disconnects instead so he could reuse his sanwa buttons if he upgraded later. Is the stick you have the Hori EX2 ? i didnt have trouble opening it up so i must have that screw bit. -

a Y screwdriver? i'm not sure what that is. I have some flat head, square, star, allan and torx. Is something broken in it? if it's anything like my friend's cheapo Hori that i modded once before, the buttons are probably soldered directly to the PCB. It might be why you get multiple inputs just for pushing certain buttons down all the way. -

I hear you man. But consider this; I'm not suggesting that you learn to play blazblue, marvel, streethfighter, soulcalibur and tekken with stick. Or any game that you already know how to play. We're getting into GuiltyGear now and it's relatively new, you have a clean slate and nothing to relearn or retrain. No left hands involved ! As for money.. Not all good sticks are expensive. I might have a much more cost efficient solution for you if you're interested. TEs are not the only stick available, i have an xbox arcade edition laying around that we can mod for you for cheap maybe. Anyway i leave it up to you. -

Yo ! Welcome ! come over and play with us dude ! It can't be that far ! Kirby, you REALLY should take this opportunity to start Guilty Gear on stick instead of pad. You seem like you're on the brink of switching, perhaps in the next year. Do yourself a favor and learn GG on stick from now. I'm sure it can be arranged, I've gotten my stick working on Wii via gamecube cable. -

Actually it affects a bunch of chars, like Pedro mentioned Mu is affected, as is Valkenhayn, Hazama, Lambda, and anyone who has both wall bounce or wall bound and vacuum effect moves. I think hakumen has some wall bound moves too especially on CH, but i don't think he has a vacuum effect move? maybe someone can correct me on that one. EDIT: looking forward to it ! can check the video on dustloop homepage to see many ways to reproduce the bug with different characters. -

I think we're better off without CS2 until they fix the glitches. Check out the article if you haven't already if you plan on playing today guys http://www.dustloop.com/forums/content.php?158-Bugs-in-BBCS2-on-xbox... -

I have a Bike cover. The sun does more damage to a motorcycle then the rain, but covers are available, don't worry about that. Having a garage helps a lot, but i don't have one and i didn't let that stop me ! I hope the CS2 bugs are fixed by the time we get it on PS3 -

D: But it's got GRILLED CHICKEN !! AND NUTS !! Pecan nuts. Nuts are manly. hehe Sophisticat: the real killer, cost wise, for the bike is that you gotta pay 600$ registration every year and you can only legally drive it 8 months. if you do decide to get a bike, maybe i can help. Theres a few tricky things about the testing process for bikes. And you will need another motorcyclist to prepare for the last part, no way around it. BCS2: bugs with wall bouncing after vacuum effect moves on xbox version for now. Best wait for a fix patch before training your combos, guys. Well, if they involve wall bouncing that is. I've been training guilty gear a little everyday ! Multi console mod on arcade stick WILL allow it to also work on the Wii via gamecube cable, Blade. I've tested it at my friend's house. So if any of you guys have a Wii, it's a viable guilty gear station. Something funny about the Wii version though, in the options it actually has an "easy FRC" toggle option LMAO ! -

Thank you !! but no, I'm Armenian, not Romanian. Romania is not the same as Armenia at all XD. The reason i add spaces before exclamation points is because i'm a graphic artist. Typograhy dictates a short space before exclamation/interrogation marks. Since there are no short spaces in forum i resort to a full space. I can't help it, it's my job. Doing it wrong makes my brain hurt. There are actually 5 or more different kinds of spaces in Typography. Including n space, m space, short space, non breaking space etc.. About the bike, the price tag on it brand new was 9000$. Then add on a "valeur a neuf" and other stuff with taxes and split across a 6 year financing: it really costs me 180$ a month. The registration is 600$ a year and gas is INCREDIBLY cheap. Like blow your mind cheap. My insurance charges me something like 80$ a month to insure it. I should also mention that bike is NOT on the government's black list so i escape the 1500$ registration fee. I love twins. particularly V-Twins. Take from that what you will :3 -

Nini, about what Pedro said, do be careful what you buy there. PAL system is not just a matter of soft locking, there's a physical difference in the electronics because of the power consumption differences. PAL disks spin at a different speed then NTSC, therefore electronics that work with one typically won't be able to run the other unless they are built specifically to do both. I dunno if that has any bearing on the 3DS but look into it ! Sorry to hear about your xbox Mine died a few years ago, that's why i got a PS3, but i miss dishwasher really badly !
