I apologize for not saying anything in advance, truth is i've been meaning to come down and play for the past 2 weeks, but i've been debugging probs with my mod every single day, and it's only as of yesterday that im convinced everything is working properly. on SRK there are people who have used a hub successfully before, i've seen them. i posted on SRK to hope to get some advice. I need to get this to work or else the ports i drilled in the back will be an eyesore XD. The problem is the PCB is losing power for a split second at a time, and resetting. I was playing you yesterday with it, everything works fine, however if we were playing offline versus, the game will probably pause every time it happens because it will think a controller is disconnected. If it doesnt work out, don't worry. For yours we can always just use a DPDT switch on the back to change consoles.

unfortunately i won't be able to come to HQ today. Ran into a snag with my stick afterall ! Seems the USB hub i used is crapping out on me. I need to go buy other ones and do some tests. /Obsessive See you guys friday at foonzo, hopefully.

Actually, Blade, Addison didn't sell me the circuit board for xbox, i gutted this for it's circuit board because it had a turbo button and LS DP RS switch i could use to combine with the ones on the stick itself. Gotta order that on ebay or amazon. The chip the other modders use is specifically if you have an XBOX stick (mine was PS3). That one is not from a controller, it's made specifically to be combined with an xbox stick. Before they came up with it, everyone would just take apart various controllers and "padhack" them into the stick to make it work. That said, you could Padhack a PS3 madcatz fightpad into an xbox arcade stick and it would be similar to what i did. But the premade circuit board cranky is waiting on for Pedro is way cleaner and easier to install. Doing it the padhack way like i did is kinda painful. Edit: this April they will be releasing a new circuit board that does both Xbox360 and PS3 at the same time. No soldering just screw down miniature terminal block similar to the one i used. This can cut your work in half, and even let you build a stick from scratch fairly easily. Edit#2: I'll do my best to be there, Blade !

Yo Pedro, he is right. They are out of stock on that chip and it prolly wont be back until mid April. Hopefully sooner. The only place to get electronics of all kinds including a good soldering pen is Addison electronics in Montreal or Maddison electronics in Laval. http://www.addison-electronique.com/ Their website is less than stellar. You have to go in person to really appreciate the place. It's ironic you're asking about this, i JUST finished the first part of my project !! take a look at these pics this is my TE with the top popped up looking inside. I added the terminal block and wired every possible feature the PCB comes with to function on both systems ! No need to hold Turbo or any other switch on my stick to switch from PS3 to Xbox. It just works when you plug it in ! here you can see the madcatz fightpad PCB i gutted, the usb hub, the place i'm going to put the PS2 PCB, and the 2 USB ports i added to the back of my arcade stick ! You can plug anything you want into them and it's like putting them into the console. You can plug in another controller for Player2 or a USB keyboard or charge a headset.. Never saw anyone do it like this on SRK so im really proud of it ! here's a closeup of the USB ports. I was nervous as hell drilling the holes D: This was very time consuming, i haven't played in a week sadly. I don't think it requires hardware. If it requires a capture card on the computer there's no point to the box in the first place. It prolly hooks up similarly to mine by USB. But since it was cranky's it's best we ask him, I'll examine it again next time i'm at HQ. It definitely requires drivers though. Shouldn't be a problem.

Yo Pedro, for recording i would suggest picking up cranky's old setup. that hauppage will net really high quality. See if he's willing to lend it to us indefinitely or willing to part with it. I can help with making a "setup" to play and record on different screens. I can't help with Streaming though. Sorry i wasnt there on Sunday, i've been working all weekend on dual/triple modding my stick. So far so good, almost done. Artwork has not arrived yet, but im very anxious to use my own stick on ps3/ps2/xbox, so i don't mind.

Blade's right about downtime helping. The secret to it is sleep though, not just downtime. THE best way to train muscle memory is ALOT of repetition just before sleeping. You'll have to trust me on this, it's the real deal.

Hey guys update on the new arcade stick akihabarashop is making for us. Obviously i imagine priorities are shifting with all the chaos in japan, but if you guys are patient i bet it will be worth it. Here is the email Per(guy who runs akihabarashop) sent me a few minutes ago. For those of you who don't know akihabarashop, it's one of the main places people get their parts from on shoryuken.com. The guy is very talented and he's involved with building all sorts of cool stuff, including some circuit boards that are xbox and ps3 compatible without hacking a pad. If you have some patience to wait another month for the dust to settle i'm sure we will have some more info. However i expect the price will be comparable to a TE since it uses the same high quality hardware.

I love the new avatar Blade. It's one of the nicer ones. For the record, you both have hype moments. True story.

To BRICE and PEDRO and anyone who is interested in getting a PS2 stick or any other high quality stick in the future. I STRONGLY suggest WAITING because akihabarashop.jp is coming out with a new cross platform sanwa arcade stick very very soon !! Per/TheRealNeoGeo on shoryuken.com has been talking about it for awhile. I don't have all the details but i think it's going to be very big ! And it's very close to release now. Unfortunately i do not know if PS2 will be included in it's cross platform-ness. Brice this might also be the answer to replacing your sometimes dropping inputs current stick. I will try to gather more info about it for you guys, but don't get all impulsive on ebay!!!! kaeru

CS2 was re-schedueled from "March" to "End of Spring" officially, some time ago. Take from that what you will I'll be there today.

THE best option is to hop forward or backward. You are throw invulnerable on first frame of jumping and you are airborn as of 5th frame of the hop. Timing is key, this is like using a reversal on wakeup. Jumping is also a viable option. Even though Hakumen's jump has a 4 frame startup, you are still completely throw immune on frame 1 of the jump.
