You don't even need fast inputs to do a UB (not on stick anyways), it's mainly about timing. Anyways, you don't need to make the UB frame-perfect but at the same time, try to make the gap between the two moves small enough so that it's impossible or at least really hard for your opponent to block it.

You're probably inputting it too quickly. Just slow down your input and you'll be fine. The timing's not strict but if you do it too fast, you'll get a raw allegretto instead of an alle-cancelled j.2C.

Damage is the main reason Val Tedo is used; it has ~1700 min damage. It does have invincibility frames though so should you be stuck in a sticky situation, you can use it as a (rather unsafe) reversal. That said, you probably screwed up somehow if you activated OD on your own terms and still managed to get yourself in a fix... As for the OD itself, I see a lot of Carls use it just for Val Tedo as an ender. His OD has a lot of other effects though (faster Nirvana health recovery, Nirvana buffs). I feel a feeling that there's still much to be discovered with Carl's OD.

<3 Why do triple fermatas when you can do double fermata + Val tedo. Stay free Real talk, thanks to the new time based scaling system, it might be realllllly hard to get a triple fermata combo since a fermata hit consumes so much time. A fatal 2C will probably be necessary if such a thing is possible. "Safest" one I can think of is fatal 2C, fermata, 3C, fermata, 3C fermata. No idea if it'll actually work though lol.

After doing some checks on the stick and installing a new one, Igi and Ryuusei replayed a match where Igi would take the first round and then they'd continue where they left off. Haven't this many Carl vids in a week in a while. I've never seen this Igi fellow before. He looks very strong though!

So with the looming JP release of CP, I'd like to know how many of you guys plan to import CP. Provided that nothing extraordinary happens, I'll probably import a copy and mess around in the lab. Some of you guys are a lot more creative w/training mode than I am so I'd imagine we could find more tech w/those guys importing as well. That said, I'm not trying to pressure anyone to import especially those short on cash or time to play to CP.

You could do dash [5B, j.2C, j.B, j.C, dash 5B, j.2C...] It's not really any easier than having Nirvana push you but it doesn't require Nirvana to be near you and it saves a bit of doll meter. It also works midscreen.

Both of the Itos are still on the leaderboards. Ito Ikutaro is still sitting on a solid 15th dan ranking while Ito Sae/Clover/whatever-the-hell-he-goes-by probably changed his name to SP Cayden (his stats on the card matchup). That said, it's pretty annoying to see most of the top ranking Carls changing their names so often. Barring Ikutaro, it can be pretty hard to get a handle on who's who. EDIT: I just did a little research. SP Cayden is indeed Itoh Sae. Shadow accounts? I wasn't aware that Ito had any, do you remember the names? BTW, you can change your actual name on the leaderboards and not just your secondary information which explains why "Ito Clover" is no longer on the leaderboard.
