I won't lie, I'm slightly surprised to see Akiba on that list as I never thought his Carl is anything impressive. But then again, he won that golden ticket so who are we to judge? Definitely looking forward to see Mucchi play though (IMO, he's actually pretty close to Ryuusei and Kyaku skill-wise) Also, now that I'm finished my exams, expect to see updates to the video thread and the wiki. The input I like to use for the micro-dash super jump is 62169. It seems that I have the least trouble not hitting 3 as I go from 1 to 6. Aside from that though, I don't know of any easy ways to input the micro-dash super jump.

After watching Hex's video, I realized that I derped on the transcript of the hard version and forgot to write in 214A: Hard Version: - (2AB), dash j.B, j.C, 5B, 236CD, land, 22A, 214A, run, j.A, j.B, j.2B, 5AA, 22B, j.A, JC, j.C, 236D (~4600 off 2AB, ~3900 off j.B) The 214A adds a significant amount of damage and Orgia cooldown time to the combo. It does make the combo tighter though so depending on how good/consistent your execution is, it may or may not be worth the extra effort for that little bit of orgia meter and damage. I should also mention that these combos (easy and hard versions) may be a bit iffy on some characters. I know that the combo is definitely harder against Teddie for some reason. I'll do a bit more testing against other characters when I find the time.

It seems that our most damaging midscreen combo path atm is [stuff...], 5C, 623D, sj.B, JC, j.B, j.C, 421D, ender. You can get at least meterless 3.5k from several different starters w/that path so even without 2D and 8D, we can still do damaging combos. Charged 6C having bonus proration is going to lead into hilarious damage. Hopefully the 623C, RC, fuoco, 6C UB setup still works in CP. On another note, I'm going to be pretty busy within these next two weeks so the updates in the video thread might be a bit slow for a while. Although you guys have absolutely no obligation to do so, I'll be very grateful towards anyone who helps with the video thread :3

They didn't do anything to the startup of 5B (9f) so it can still be used as our fast but short ranged "poke". It'll still be safe if you cancel into 5C on block and jump/IAD away or whatever. IMO, the changes in Carl's frame data aren't extreme to the point where this new found knowledge will change the way anyone will play Carl. 5A/2A's increased blockstun is kinda nice though. Keep in mind that I'm only reporting the numbers; there are some notes in the frame data that I can't read due to my inability to understand Japanese.

Data changes: 5A went from -3 on block to -1 2A went from -4 on block to -1. Startup went from 6f to 7f 6A went from -9 to -14 (still JC'able on block though) 5B went from -1 to -4 (no longer JC'able on block, beware) Nirvana move startup does not account for activation frames (16f) 6D went from 30f to 31f (negligible) Tenerezza has 31f startup not counting activation startup Brio startup went from 18f to 25f Volante went from 30f to 31f (negligible) Will add more info to the wiki at some point.

You'll be better off than those who still have EX combos firmly ingrained into their muscle memory during day 1 :P In other news, Kurushii's mook got delivered to him and he has uploaded the frame data on it. EDIT: I played around with it in the lab and I found out how to do it midscreen; Easy Versions: - (2AB), dash j.B, j.C, 5B, 236CD, land, 22A, 214A, dash, 5AA, 22B, j.A, JC, j.A, j.C, 236D (~4400 off 2AB, ~3900 off j.B) - 5AA, 22B, j.C, 236CD, 22A, 214A, 5AA, 22B, j.A, JC, j.A, j.C, 236D (~3500) Hard Version: - (2AB), dash j.B, j.C, 5B, 236CD, land, 22A, run, j.A, j.B, j.2B, 5AA, 22B, j.A, JC, j.C, 236D (~4600 off 2AB, ~3900 off j.B) The 22A and 214A after 236CD must be done immediately. Although the hard version has the benefit of conserving more Orgia meter, it's a really tight combo and just doing the easy version still saves a noticeable amount of meter; the regular combo uses up about 35% meter while the easy version of this combo ends with a 10% net loss of meter and the hard version ends with almost no net loss. You can actually do this off almost any confirm into EX Megido.
