  1. Nice, I was worried I'd have to drive 2 hours to Atlanta every time I wanted to fite people. The 6 or so hours it'll take to reunite with MTN will be bad enough, if I'm ever driven to such madness. Do they have actual tournies for the animu fighters, or is it just a casuals thing? I gotta spread my wings and shit, man. I think that's half my problem with dealing with people, honestly. I feel awkward because I can't even view myself as a self-sustaining adult, yet. I'm a dirty, dirty mooch, and I gotta fix that. I'LL ALWAYS BE MTNG|VOLPE IN SPIRIT, THO. I wish I still had my copy. . . I sold it when my ps3 died because fuck it. Also, you play wayyy too many fighters. Or maybe I don't play enough. And on that note. . . VSAV is probably the only one I haven't checked out yet. I'm not much of a grappler guy, though. Any other cool shit? What's high level play look like? Considering you stomped my ass with her, yes. :@ I definitely want to go, but you know me. I definitely don't plan on offering anymore sexual favors, however. . . do et, faget. We need someone to fly the Haku flag now that I'm jumping ship to Relius. (I know I'm flaky as fuck on this, but he's Liz but better. Makoto is hardddd. But I'll probably still sub her.) newaiz. . . I've had the good fortune of fighting some really excellent P4U players, and I think I'm starting to have a better understanding of what it means to play at a high level. In hindsight it's obvious as fuck, and may even be considered common knowledge, but I think the implications of this epiphany are entirely overlooked. Although what exactly those implications are, I'm not yet entirely sure. . . I don't even know how I feel about fighters right now because of this, and my belief that training is all it takes to get good is being heavily shaken. blegh. What qualities do you guys think constitute a high level player? Also, random census: does anyone meditate? Has anyone tried? If not, I wholly recommend it. I'm not that good at it myself yet, but I can feel my awareness hovering on the edge of a true meditative state at times, and I think it might be akin to a natural high. If nothing else, it helps you calm down and learn to just soak in the experience of being alive.
  2. Input issues aside, GG's CPU'll put the fear o' God in ya..
  3. Yup. I'm finally heading out, and me and some friends plan on moving down to Grovetown sometime in August.
  4. What kinda scene is there in Georgia? I'm looking around, but all that pops up is the SF4/Marvel community. WHERE MY WEEABOOS AT? This is gonna be my last year in TN.
  5. Same. I'm just excited to possibly be going to my first major. Tekken major? idk, either way it'll be hype. I wanna see some crazy Tekken shit and play some games! Well, you know if I can make it I'll have Gear on Ps3. With Kriss helping me out I can probably bring my tv, too.
  6. The pad union decided to silence Astaroth once and for all. Fortunately, controllers don't make very good assassins.
  7. One day I'll be able fight people in this game. Death and Rebirth sounds hype as fuck, and I don't even play VSAV.
  8. As much as I hate to admit it, DMC seems like it's gonna be pretty awesome. I just wish new Dante didn't have the personality of Jersey Shore's Most Wanted. It had better be compatible with music, because I don't want to have to listen to his obnoxious voice or the repetitive DnB boss soundtracks to enjoy the awesome gameplay. Also, this: WHAT HAVE THEY DONE TO YOU, VERGIL?
  9. Well, I've finally got my copy of P4A back. Anyone who wants to get some practice in on PSN should hit me up! I definitely need to shake some rust off. ed: ggs woz and alex. AND I SEE YOU MILLN, LURKING IN THE SHADOWS AND ABSORBING TECH.
  10. I was about to resign myself to learning a stick (something I've been meaning to do anyway), but I found out I was bitching for nothing. Once I paid attention to how I was braking, I found out how to dash on my own. The Johnny forum was telling me to mash 4646 after braking, and that just wasn't workin' for me. I dunno if mine's fast enough to be considered a legit FD dash, but it's definitely better than dashing normally.
  11. @Tournament - Really want to. I definitely need to play Gear offline. Netplay trolled the fuck outta me and Star when our match started with a flawless connection, then spiked to something like a 1 bar, then stabilized at 2. Ah, that's what it was. I knew it was something, I just couldn't remember what. I thought it was necessary for Johnny's throw mix-up? Still, glad to hear that. Braking, I can do. Awww. Also: I didn't realize how much I missed playing KoF. Wish I'd never had to sell it. The 2363214 motions are ridiculous on a d-pad, though.
  12. Whoa, wait. You can mod pads? As in dual mod? What's Khaos Theory talkin' 'bout? 'Cuz holy shit, I would sell my body in a heartbeat if this was possible. This would fix everything. Well, aside from FD dashing, which I'm increasingly of the opinion that a stick is necessary for. And while I'm stalking Milln's twitter, I'm checkin out the cronus converter, too. I thought Jackie got one of these and there was some kinda issue where it wasn't effective for fighters? Or was that some other converter?
  13. I guess my perspective was skewed from all the weeaboos anime fighters I hang with. Either way, I'm sure it'll have a hype side tourney. Charity, huh? Well, involving more money than it already takes just to get to Evo excludes anime fighters from even dreaming of taking that slot. Also, people still play Mortal Kombat competitively?
  14. I'm seeing what I can do about the kumite situation. Where's the poll for the Evo line-up? I'm surprised Gear wasn't a shoo-in for the slot. ...That moment when Persona's on 360 for KiT. Blegh.
  15. Ah, yes. The poor artists of Game Freak, forever chained to their desks in the sub-basement levels of Nintendo. They've earned themselves a place in a special kind of hell simply for trying to bring a bug collector's dream to life. Now they persist at the threat of lashings from the cruel hands of their overlords managers, desperately trying to ignore the aches of their fingers cramping up and the discomfort of ink stains sticking the folds of their malnourished flesh together. Is this good enough? It looks like another Eevee, but it'll have to do. Hopefully it will satisfy their corporate masters. Only 149 more to go.
  16. SHHH! I hear if you say that word out loud, hair grows on your eyeballs!
  17. Japanese is very context sensitive. That's only one of multiple possible meanings, dirty boy. My guess is Naimat was aiming for "precision" or "true heart/spirit" .
  18. And this guy is in charge of the EVO line-up. . . ? Wow.
  19. I think most of us still play Persona, too.
  20. Dunno why I was being so lame before. Gear is the fucking shit! Seeing Tad and Naimat's matches really inspired me to take it seriously. Glad I got to play you guys and get some experience with Johnny. I can't stop gushing now, I didn't know what I was missing until I tried him out in actual matches. I'm especially grateful to Klein for giving me pointers on my newb Johnny, and Naimat for taking time to show me some cool shit with him. Also to Papstr for being magnificently fraudulent (I'm sorry, Jackie, but I think Papstr has been the true Chandler from the shadows now), and Kain for coming at me with a variety of characters, as well as helping me get used to A.B.A. I'm starting to think Johnny's FD dash might be physically impossible on a pad, lol. Either way, I'm leaking hype everywhere now that I've actually got the drive to learn Gear. Can't wait to fight everyone again. Fuck it, I don't even care that Tad will touch me in places I didn't even know I had, I'm gonna fight him too. I'm glad people took the time to get some Street Fighter matches in with me. I guess I can see why it gets a little formulaic after awhile, but to me it's still pretty shiny and new. I had a lot of fun getting bodied, lol. Also had a really fun set with Kain's Kanae in Akatsuki Blitzkampf. Trying to get into your head was a real mental workout and Akatsuki is freakin' legit. Shoulda roped more people into some matches. I also want to give big ups to Milln for coming down to Star's to pick me up and for pretty much playing everything, as well as giving everybody Blazblue trading cards for Christmas. As for Winter Brawl and KiT, I don't think I can make it to either, but I'll be with y'all in spirit. Happy fuckin' New Year, guys.
  21. Well, it was Star's pizza. I'm just as broke as ever, so I figured it'd be better to eat before I left since I can't afford to go out to eat with you guys. edit: wow. His mom is really gonna send someone who just went to Clarksville back just to take me home. I hope you get here before this gets too dramatic, man. <_<
  22. Yep, still here. Pizza just got here, but I'm cool with whenever you want to pick me up. Just glad I get to go at all, really.
  23. Yeah, Shadowman left for Clarksville and forgot to get me, I guess. If you could give me a ride I'd really appreciate it, although if you could wait 'til the pizza gets here first I'd love you forever.
  24. He's going tomorrow, but his mom flipped out on me. She's sending me home at noon. Anyway, would you be willing to come get me? I gotta know this before my ride leaves and I'm sitting in Star's parking lot for no reason. Well, back to sitting in my room for the next three months. Fuck. Well he isn't leaving right away so I have a little while, but since Milln got off immediately after posting I guess I'm out of luck. Still, anyone ready for sexual favors? Well, turns out my ride decided to leave without me. Someone should probably come save me before Star's mom gets home and murders me.
  25. Well, unless someone can pick me up from Star's before noon, guess I'm not gonna make it.
