  1. Here's some videos of Chin playing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=54o-dhZAJnQ#t=11m15s http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nijDeH5nKoA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_QefgDskanc&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL second match @7:43 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RCSKkpF9CX4&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL#t=06m58s http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlfr49P04ak&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL
  2. Hey I'm hoping someone who owns Extend can answer this question. I know Extend only has the canon storyline for CT, but does it contain the complete story that was in CS1? I'm thinking of trading in BBCS and wasn't sure if Extend cut out anything from the story mode.
  3. Most likely because throw>6A>6C guarantees that 6C will have the longer untechable frames from being hit close to the ground (untechable till they stop sliding) and in CS2 to land 6C from a throw you needed very specific spacing.
  4. Two guys from the Winnipeg scene are entering BB, so I hope everything runs smoothly with regards to the BB tournament this year.
  5. you could also try jumping using 8, as long as you do it asap she won't cross you up.
  6. Cool, thanks for translating the info for us Dream Maker, its much appreciated.
  7. Thanks BladeOfJustice7, I know I've seen some aspects of those changes confirmed but I'm not sure about the whole thing "Does kishuu have the projectile invincibility." Also I'm not going to lash out at a canadian hakumen player, heh. I remember seeing that video, it is indeed faster with potentially better invincibility frames, but I'm more curious about its raw damage since I often use it to bait bursts after counters. Ok that's good since the math works out for it.
  8. Can you still do two loops of the 2C, j.2A, j.2C corner combo with 6A in the combo? Also can you confirm if any of these changes in previous loketests stayed? Some of it is known, but I got it from the general change thread and wanted some confirmation for these points, like 4[C] chaining to Renka. Yukikaze - Faster startup, easier to follow up on hit 4C - Can now be charged. On full charge, does large damage and chains to Renka Kishuu - Travel distance slightly increased, now projectile and body invulnerable after a certain number of frames Shippu - Comes out faster, but follow-ups deal less damage, also did the raw damage change? 6B - No longer breaks a primer
  9. There's some footage of PRFARMY's hakumen. Fully charged 4C has crazy reach with the slide forward, though hakumen's hitbox most likely still extends very far forward. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lVC1-ZHBj9o
  10. if qwerty was thinking that hakumen can't cut projectiles anymore then.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ht8am_PXVWM#t=6m18s Shows that he still can.
  11. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sVYgU64n-gU#t=8m30s Based on 10:30 from this video, it looks like gurren has same move porration The new j.B will make NH hotaru combos much easier now among many other things and the 6A corner bounding is nice change for our corner combos, however I hope it doesn't inhibit our ability to do 2 corner loops.
  12. some footage of CSE hakumen was posted by pktazn, first match. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ht8am_PXVWM Not sure if a new CSE video thread should be created or not so I just posted it here. Seems kishuu's distance was indeed increased and the 90 frame meter cooldown is crazy. The corner combo off of renka(1) > kishuu > 6C gave back 2 whole stars and it wasn't finished.
  13. If you activate the counter after the 90 frames (1.5 secs) cooldown period then you'll gain the full star, same as in CS2 when you had to wait for the cooldown period to finish. I personally enjoyed hakumen being a bit weaker just because it really showed alot of dedication in CS2 to be good. You had to know when to burn meter for damage or corner carry and when was the best time to use hotaru. Now it looks like you'll always have hotaru on standby and won't need to do worry much about meter management.
  14. NH = Normal Hit I'm not sure if its used often for blazblue but I used it out of habit from playing Soulcalibur.
  15. Almost all of my combos are from posts made here from ryokoalways with adjustments to compensate for my execution. So, I usually don't feel like I can contribute much to the forums. Also to stay on topic, does NH tsubaki > hop > gurren lead into the typical 5A-6A-5A juggle? I would use that over IAD versions since it would be much more consistent.
  16. What Sophisticat is saying is that since zantetsu and 3c both give the same kind of knockdown you can think of them as the same starter in terms of what available combo paths there are + 5C. Keep in mind that it is still an inherently unoptimal use of 3 stars. Also otg 5C guren will not work on lambda, as well as Platinum and I don't think its necessary to post every specials' name and command, either list all by name or all by command. People using the guide should be familiar with atleast that much about hakumen.
  17. Kayane was able to organize an event with Namco Bandai to let the Soulcalibur community get their hands on the latest build of SCV. Tune in for a live stream tomorrow, depending on your timezone. http://8wayrun.com/threads/soulcalibur-v-invitational-with-kayane-on-9-23.8324/
  18. Hakumen's astral is the only one of his counters that will work against throws and unblockable attacks.
  19. hey make sure to register on the forums so you can start to get to know the people in the local scene Helion! We should be having a gathering this friday, if we can find an alternate room to use.
  20. Going to post this because I'm not sure how much of pool play was recorded at Evo. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ToF6BxDCIFI Second half of the video is just casuals.
  21. Congratulations on taking the Evo 2011 Blazblue CS2 tournament Spark! Incredible defense and opening most people's eyes what Hakumen is capable of doing.
  22. So that's why we always had a good connection while playing :O You should totally come out to our tournament and show everyone your Rachel :P
  23. Could you do a Platinum write-up? A tournament is coming up soon and the local Platinum player gives me trouble.
  24. From my testing, it seems that you can escape the j.2C oki setup with a forward roll or spam a quick 5A to hit hakumen out of the j.2C, though the latter maybe dependent on the height of where hakumen is. I've had some instances where the opponent would be unable to hit you out of it. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
  25. The Blazblue scene is very small right now. There's only 4 or so dedicated players for it and maybe 5 casual players for the game, and almost none for Guilty Gear as far as I know since joining the community. We can typically run a small 8 man tournament at our events. Blazblue is in the lineup for TST VI and I'm hoping establishing a thread on Dustloop will help give us some more exposure so that the scene can grow.
