I wasn't sure what kind of playstyle you had so I opted to throw alot early on but when that stopped working I tried to maintain a better neutral game but that didn't work.
-
Get a USB keyboard~ Also I was mentally guard broken when in the first match you airdashed in and j.D my hop hotaru...
-
You're quite right Sans, the most major thing for me right now is to get more consistent as the good and off days can be quite different. For example, that day I couldn't for the life of me get Shippu to come out when I wanted it to so I wasn't able to close out as many as I should have. I still need to work on confirming 2B into enma and will hopefully iron that out relatively soon. Also with respect to the Carl matchup, in serious play I avoid the sandwich much more but I personally find it rather boring so in casuals I go in just to make the match more exciting and to practice my defense. Thanks for the advice guys!

Here's a FT5 I had before our local Carl player left for Japan. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1IlDzq-Mh5Y Any critique is welcome!

We're terrible at coming up with names for tournaments it seems. Anyways, M2B has been moved to April with our next standard tournament event taking place on April 26th. Expect a game lineup much in line with the majority of our typical events. Doors open at 11. Registration is at the door. Hosted by Chip Damage Games on Campus THE GAMES AND SCHEDULE 1pm - King of Fighters XIII 2pm - Project M, DiveKick 3pm - Persona 4 Arena 4pm - Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition v.2012 5pm - Soul Calibur V, Guilty Gear XXAC+R 6:30pm - Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 7:00pm - Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Blazblue Chrono Phantasma 8:00pm - Injustice: Gods Among Us WHEN April 26, 2014 WHERE Smart Park Event Center 100 - One Research Road HOW MUCH $5 registration fee $5 entry for each game entered. As always, spectators and casual play are FREE. PRIZES Cash prizes with nothing taken from the pot entries. The pot is split among top 3 with a 70/20/10 ratio. DISCUSSION Here is a Facebook Event if you want to see who else is coming. Check out the event on our own forums too. RULES Rules are standard for every game. Double elimination tournament brackets with best two out of three matches. Grand finals and Winners/Losers finals are three out of five. Winner keeps same character, loser may switch character. UMvC3 has the only exception of being 3/5 sets throughout the entire bracket. We follow the standard EVO rule set. This includes banned wireless controllers. This is a BRING YOUR OWN STICKS/CONTROLLER event. All games will be played on US Playstation 3 consoles. The console equipment will be labeled and registered to ensure its safety. However, please be careful with your sticks. Furthermore, if you know you’re attending and you do not have a stick to use, make sure you have a friend who can donate. For pad/PS2 stick players, we tend to have PS2 pads and/or converters around, but don't take this as confirmation of us having them there for you. Bring your own to be safe as opposed to being disqualified for not having a controller available at time to play. We cannot hold up the tournament for your convenience. -

I feel like I need a manlier avatar now if its being grouped with you guy's avatars.... Edit: Alright fixed now haha
-
Only time I use RC is after a NH 6B, back throw for an OD combo or after 3C is used as a block punisher.
-
Use 5B instead of 2C for the loop and it becomes much easier. Also if you're having trouble with shippu just compensate by going past 4 (63214786C)
-
Perhaps have a section with advice pretaining to 1.1 matchups in the OP. Many character's gameplans are the same so far.

[CP1.1] Makoto Nanaya's Gameplay Discussion - When's 2.0?
Schneider-X replied to HiagoX's topic in Makoto Nanaya
Just wanna mention that Shippu's minimum damage is actually 1120 without charge and it doesn't change with OD. -
Nightmare da bessss
-
In what combos are you thinking of substituting it in? I didn't have any luck getting it to work after an enma starter. Might only be applicable after a CT or Zantetsu which would then limit its use since we would have the meter cooldown anyways.
-
Oh, well that's unfortunate. I guess we'll have to special cancel air grab into Hotaru and go into OD from there.
-
Doesn't untech time mean once they've hit the ground? If you RC OD immediately they'll still be in the air while you recover and then you should be able to land j.B at minimum for a combo.
-
Here is another translation of the hakumen changes I found in the Hazma forums. Source: http://pastebin.com/drHzhPeY Agito is definitely more unsafe now on block. Also this translation of the meter gain in the air makes a bit more sense "2 per frame normally, 14 per frame while in OD." There's still no frame of reference though so we won't truly know how different that is from now.

We'll be having an air dashers tournament at the wonderland anime festival happening this weekend! We'll be running tournaments for the following games: Arcana Heart 3 BlazBlue Crono Phantasma Guilty Gear XX Λ Core Plus R Persona 4: Arena Skull Girls Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 Check out the link below for more details about the event! http://www.chipdamage.com/2014/02/11/wonderland-anime-festival-march-1-2-2014/ -
Here's the stream that was shown yesterday. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOeMJ1pE-tM At 19:45 you can see Hakumen do a TK Hotaru combo and he gains back roughly 1 star back versus the 1.5ish stars that he gains currently. They might've increased his heat gain from attacks to compensate for the slower speed during his combos since its not as drastic as I thought.
-
Most big OD combos start with you on the ground anyways so that won't affect it too much. It may affect what we can do off of tsubaki/Hotaru OD combos since we're in the air for quite a bit with those at the start.
-
6A and 6B can be drive cancelled very early after their blocked. So it is active at the time that a 2A or 5A would come out to stop our pressure. Also since 6A always has the threat of a 6B coming afterwards, people will be less likely to use lows to poke out with.
-
Here's that hakumen hop agito mixup I was working on. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83GuFTbBIvU&feature=youtu.be Just want to emphasize that this mixup is highly dependent on how much your opponent respects your pressure. Something to keep in mind but not necessarily rely on.

Hey everyone, we recently finished up a tournament held locally and here is some of the footage recorded. Specifically the air-dasher tournaments that we had run. http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLsS8X-4BMAZGOT_5XIGoSoR8koKGoBJKS -
I'm working on a video exploring hop agito options but I have used agito just to vary the timing of my descent while landing or using agito during the first jump and then air dashing or jumping again.

Renka has better combo scaling than Enma though. So during OD combos you'll end up doing more damage during similar combo routes, and it also guarantees that CT will be within range after Zantetsu (1). Also this is just an execution thing for me but I find it a bit awkward to confirm 2B > enma, and find it easier to go 2B > renka. For an extra star I can get more damage with the renka route and similar meter gain. Though if you're able to easily confirm 2B > enma then Renka is only useful in the corners really.
