  1. You need to delay the gurren for it to hit on Ragna and Makoto after the 2C, for Bang the combo will always fail. Also this combo can work with a 2A starter and you don't need the extra kishuu after gurren, you can just hop 2C j.B j.2A AD j.2A j.C instead and save a star.

  3. hey guys, come out tomorrow to the science lounge, now that I'm done with my design group project you can expect the resident hakumen player to be present for once :D
  4. Nothing really, you can enter as many console tournaments as you want and stay for as long as you want to play casuals or money match some people if you want.
  5. hey just wanted to add one final reminder about our Baselan tournament this weekend! http://www.chipdamage.com/2012/05/08/baselan23/ It'll be streamed live at http://www.twitch.tv/chipdamage and has prizes sponsored by focusattack for the 3 main fighting game tournaments. Blazblue will definitely be making an appearance this weekend
  6. Posting on chipdamage is probably the best idea, since not many people visit the other winnipeg threads for major fighting game websites. The "Bri-vents" are just fun little side events that the Baselan staff will hold. Things like playing musical chairs or a kinnect contest which don't have any set time slot for them to occur at. Do you remember Marvin from the Ai-kon tournament last year, a tager player? I remember him talking to a guy about us but he never came out.
  7. Hey Leaf, please check this thread for the latest updates on the science lounge situation. http://chipdamage.com/forums/index.php/topic,431.msg10956.html#new I feel really bad about you making two trips out to the U of M and we weren't there due to construction or other reasons Please come out to Baselan if you can. We're guaranteed to be there with no venue hiccups. http://chipdamage.com/forums/index.php/topic,658.0.html
  8. Quick tell me the closest character to Hakumen gameplay wise! (Has never played GG) Also I'm done exams and able to game more
  9. Not yet, we'll be resuming our science lounge gatherings on April 27 most likely. Exam period ends on the 23rd. I hope to see you there soon
  10. Yea, Stuart will be holding a gathering at his place to play some BB and watch the Fight Night Infinity stream this evening. Also to Shiro420, some of our guys are interested in entering the online BB tourney.
  11. Thanks for the heads up Shiro, unfortunately I only have a ps3 so I won't be able to enter the online tournament. A local game store is also holding a tournament that same day, so we might have a large presence this time around. Please keep us informed of other events you guys hold. Our next major tournament will be on May 11-13, Baselan 23 and it'd be greater if some of you guys could come out to it! We'll be running all of the major capcom fighting games, BB, SCV, MK9, and KOFXIII and streaming the event live. Its the weekend before Toryuken though so we'll understand if you are only able to travel for one of them. You should try organizing something similar for SCV as well, that would probably get alot of traffic as well.
  12. You should definitely register on the forums and introduce yourself, alot of our events and gatherings information is posted on the frontpage and at the forums. www.chipdamage.com
  13. All we need now is for Branden to post here and we'll have all of the main BB players accounted for in Winnipeg. With about 6 or so people that don't show up too often :O
  14. When you hit the ground mash G+2, 4, 6, or 8 to quickly get up in that direction instead of laying there. For NM's GS K BE you'll need to use G+2 to avoid repeated GS K BEs on the 1p side.
  15. Does comboing a purple grab midcombo repeatedly make a loop in Blazblue? No it doesn't, your opponent isn't reacting properly to the move be it breaking the purple grab or teching to the side.
  16. the GS K BE "loop" isn't guaranteed if you tech to the side, infact nothing is guaranteed if you tech to the side after it. Not fully understanding the move and complaining about it isn't helping anyone.
  17. According to the frame data thread, Shippu has had 1-4f invincibility after superflash since CS1. It was just never useful due to how long the move took to come out before. 22 frames to come out vs 7 frames after the superflash.
  18. If you don't get hit by the burst, the shippu will do 4.8K because of the damage boost from Mugen. I think 669, was only used after 6D because some character's aerial hitbox was too narrow and the j.2A would whiff.
  19. Its nice that they made it easier to combo into mugen for Extend. Were you ever able to combo into mugen instant-kill someone in the previous versions? I remember you could do it off of a fully charged 6C, but that hasn't changed in any of the versions so far.
  20. Jaxel from 8wayrun wrote a really good article on what kind of equipment and things you should consider for streaming and recording game footage. http://8wayrun.com/threads/critical-edge-building-your-own-stream-part-1.9350/#post-357962 Give it a read, this is just the 1st of 3 parts.
  21. Here's some more Chin goodness. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H39w9NvjqYA&feature=BFa&list=PLE72FF3391C915E5B&lf=plpp_video#t=7m43s http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=raAeZ5vd7V8&feature=BFa&list=PLE72FF3391C915E5B&lf=plpp_video
  22. The increase in j. B's untech time in CSE makes the combo significantly easier. The best thing to practice in CS2 in preparation for those style of combos is your IADs. Also 10f Shippu is ridiculous.
  23. I think there's a combo video showing what happens when you counter bursts. IIRC, all counters still work for gold bursts, just like in CS2. Also, how is 6A as an anti-air now? Is it better than any of our other meterless anti-air options, or does it only have situational uses?
  24. Here's another Chin video from a different set. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZE1rAP1w9w I stopped looking at the BB CSE videos for a while, but after my friend imported CSE I started looking again and got lucky finding some Chin gameplay :D
  25. Interesting combo at 14:22, probably worth looking into more. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w2zqPwbgCMg&list=PLC2923B729E129081&index=5&feature=plpp_video
