  1. which command grab are you talking about? It should in theory.
  2. I'm surprised their reworking hakumen's combo routes again in this loketest. I'm just going to worry about the final changes we have since we've had wonky loketests in the past.
  3. TST9 is less than a month away! Don't miss out on Winnipeg's biggest tournament of the year!
  4. Good combo video though it is a little odd that you call it a touch of death when alot of the characters aren't at full health. Just an interesting design choice.
  5. I think j.2C is one of those moves that has specific instances where its good. Like in air to ground or when you're trying to control the space infront/below you. I'm not sure what its hitbox is in CP but I'm pretty sure if you space it well you can still have it hit outside of the hiboxe of very vertical anti-airs.
  6. That's one thing I really didn't understand with hakumen in BBCP. Why did they make his normals so negative on block now? He already had poor pressure without special canceling and now its even worse. Atleast before they had to IB to create some gaps.
  7. Hey guys, Here's some FT3s I had with most of the anime scene here in Winnipeg. I did alot better than I usually do but any critique is much appreciated. http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLsS8X-4BMAZEzPwCHJfcyejVZwnucmtDy
  8. Pretty sure it was added in once mugen shippu did unscaled damage.
  9. Oh you meant that. I don't like using it because it has a tendency to whiff but if I have a really good read on a 6A or such I should probably start doing it.... and D enma followups in general! Look at our FT5 Yakuzu and you'll see that its just how our matches play out usually haha.
  10. Koko should lay off the munchies Also what's the extended combo?
  11. Well once he found the local offline scene he plays online alot less often now.
  12. Here's a fun FT5 I had with a friend. Watch it for some laughs as some pretty goofy things happen in it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_INRqLK8Q7o

Double elimination tournament brackets with best two out of three matches. Grand finals and Winners/Losers finals are three out of five. Winner keeps same character, loser may switch character. UMvC3 has the only exception of being 3/5 sets throughout the entire bracket. We follow the standard EVO rule set. This includes banned wireless controllers. This is a BRING YOUR OWN STICKS/CONTROLLER event. All games will be played on US Playstation 3 consoles. The console equipment will be labeled and registered to ensure its safety. However, please be careful with your sticks. Furthermore, if you know you’re attending and you do not have a stick to use, make sure you have a friend who can donate. For pad/PS2 stick players, we tend to have PS2 pads and/or converters around, but don't take this as confirmation of us having them there for you. Bring your own to be safe as opposed to being disqualified for not having a controller available at time to play. We cannot hold up the tournament for your convenience. See our full event rules [here](http://chipdamage.com/forums/index.php/topic,6.0.html).
  15. Thanks for the explanation Spark.
  16. I don't quite see the advantage between using 5A > super jump late j.B > j.2A > dj > j.2C > Agito over without the super jump as j.2C still blue beats if they don't tech and the predominant thing determining the safe jump is the timing of the falling j.2C which can also be done with the original one. Is it because that its a safe jump if the opponent techs ASAP and has to block as opposed to the normal height? Both can easily be beat by delay techs though. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
  17. Is film doing the safe jump setup off of agito in this video at 6:23? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-VUJi5QHLI Also, does this make it so that the opponent can't delay tech to avoid the j.2C/j.b?
  18. So just curious but are any Hakumen's going to UFGT10?
  19. Yea, they removed the ability to ODc the first hit of air throw by removing the ability to special cancel.
  20. Some of the OD combos will need to be revised due to the meter gain nerf in the air for Hakumen. Also we'll need new stuff for air throw combos.
  21. I'm gonna list a few things I've learned from fighting Carl. If Carl does an IAD crossup j.2C, use 2D to counter it as it hits mid The second hit of 4D can be countered with 2D gaining a free star 63214D Nirvana's grab is no longer a grab and is an actual attack however counters still don't work on it. Carl has some setups where he can use 41236D to keep the opponent in block stun long enough to get a fully charged 6C. Use 2D to get out of it if done on wakeup. Also don't use yukikaze as Carl will be able to recover in time and dodge. 46D is airtight and you can't insert a counter in between the hits. Be careful of its quick startup and range. 236236D (punch super) if done at neutral you can yukikaze and hit Carl before he recovers. Alternatively you can go time normal counters to avoid mixups and gain lots of meter.
  22. I'm not sure if its just me but I eat 6B almost every single time he does it because I either do a grab or low like 2A. I'm not really sure what to do at neutral to prevent these kinds of situations from happening. Zone him with low j.C? I feel like part of what makes this matchup feel tough is because he's playing me the player mostly.
  23. Here's match footage of me losing badly. D: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3DeI6P_1jIE
  24. I need help guys. I can't beat our local Jin player at all. I'll be uploading recent tournament footage soon but general tips on this matchup are appreciated.
  25. If people like mashing after your 6A or 6B pressure you can drive chain really early and catch those people. The mind games!
