Yeah, you know, because the Japanese never fetishize Bridget on their own... (nsfw link, obviously.) -

I'm pretty sure when he's working on developing new characters/music/games, whenever he comes up with something he jumps up on his desk-- I AM A GENIUS! WHERE IS MY GUITAR? --at which point a hot axe drops into his hands and he plays a sweet riff a la Wayne's World. -

As the one that found these, let me again reiterate, I found these on taobao (a Chinese merchant site) listed as "cosplay reference sheets" with no other information, and for all I know they could just be well-done stolen fanart. There is absolutely no confirmation apart from some interesting coincidences with Sol's outfit and sword ones that these are real or official, much less designs that will actually be in the final game. (...But if they are, I'll be very happy.) edit: I'm curious to see what they'll do with Bridget. As mentioned, the things that makes him popular also makes it difficult to age him up. Then again he's mostly popular with people who know nothing else about the series, so... Maybe he'll just be super bishie like Ky And I don't see any way Sin won't be in this game, he's an important character to the plot now and a good chance to try a new kind of character play-wise. Same deal with Dizzy as with Bridget. And ^^ I don't know where you're getting the idea that it couldn't possibly be Sin, considering the way Sol disparagingly talks about him all the time. It could very well be the villain new or not, but with that kind of wording it's not impossible. -

If Robo doesn't get an update to Ky's current design (or at least Overture) I'll be really disappointed. Probably moreso than if he isn't in it at all. -

Seems new, I didn't recognize it. On that note, can someone confirm if DI is BOTH ground and air, or is it just air now? Talking with people and we're not sure now. I wonder if air DI + that new DI-only special will = massively damaging overhead combo, but it still seems in theory like it'd be so risky? Wonder if DI has new properties since it seems they're trying to make it more effective overall. -

My guess is one "new" character (hoping for/expecting Sin) Eddie because he was in trailer? And 2 more, possibly Potemkin+Faust, maybe Axl, maybe Jam or Dizzy Would be interesting to see Queen Dizzy.... -

It's clearer on main character page, pretty sure it says 'the dark'. I'm assuming the full ribbon is 'still in the dark.' Her chest button also says something that's a lot less clear but seems to start 'Ch' so it might say 'Chastity...' something?? -

This was my thought exactly, hahaha Next thing you know people will be speculating whether Axl and Raven are the same person (except that's the ONE thing Daisuke has debunked... of all things.) -

Yeah I didn't like Isuka and Overture (or BB) nearly as much as X and XX, but I doubt we're ever going to get a return to the pure melodic rock soundtrack at this point.. oh well. I haven't gotten around to giving Uprising a listen yet though, so I guess I should. -

I think it's still pretty open for interpretation, personally (I'm not saying I'm against it, mind you; I think it's highly likely), but the voicesets you're talking about are a bit non-conclusive, she says a similar thing about being reminded of her father or something like that when she fights Kliff Undersn. The most evidence for, imo, are her Install move, her XX ending vs Sol, and her X+ endings. Meanwhile, there's been a lot of recent evidence that would point towards her not even having a father, namely that she's been referred to as a straight up clone of Justice in both Overture and Accent Core. I still think it's a lot more open-ended than something like Baldhead=Faust. -

I was just thinking about this. I'm a bit torn; to be honest I really haven't liked anything he's composed in the past 5 years nearly as much as the older stuff, it all feels way too overdone. I sincerely hope that they don't do vocal tracks for the in-game songs, whatever they do. Heavy Day is great an an OP theme; but in-game should be kept vocalless. I don't think we're going to get remixes of GGX themes though, the ones that consistently change like Sol vs Ky, I'm sure we'll get new music. Worth noting that about half of that OST wasn't Daisuke's work, though most of the main stage themes were (several Boost themes, I think all of the menu themes, and all of ABA's themes, for example, are not by Daisuke- both Quicksilver and Keep in Gates). -

Hahaha for Sol to give Ky the YOU HURT MY BABY GIRL YOU DIE speech? Since, as we see, he is certainly that sort of over-protective dad :P -

Well... we don't know that yet, it's only ever been teased, so probably not. I don't think Sol would tell either of them even if he was, personally. (It would make for quite the interesting quality family time, though) -

GG2: Overture Story Translations (**Updated w/ Sin's!)

Sin's Story “Hey old man! Was this lizard edible?” “Hey, hurry up and get down here.” “W-wait just a bit, just a bit more...” (It seems like he likes tall places...) “Hurry it up. Today I’ll take you to an even higher place.” =================== “Whoaaaaaa!!!! SOO COOL!!!!!” Looking at the child frolicing about -- foster father Sol Badguy let out a deep sigh. (I shouldn’t have brought him with me.) He was around the age where he’s brimming with curiosity and it couldn’t be helped that everything that he sees is fresh. But So,l who did not like much noise, would get incredibly fed up with his foster child’s innocence. Due to certain circumstances, Sol was asked by his acquaintance to look after his son Sin half a year ago. The two in order to collect their job payment went to Zepp, famous for being a levitating country. Working as a bounty hunter, they constantly travel all over the world--which sounds great, but in reality they were wandering vagabonds. Their main targets are to subjugate Gears that posed a threat to humans, but the population has been decreasing sharply and it has become difficult to finance their living with simply that. In a desperate manner, they would sometimes go for more common bounties. The other day, the two unluckily---no, for those two, luckily they were given a hard time by a group of hooligans. That group was fairly well known and was currently under a special bounty reward by the armed floating country Zepp’s search party. The two-er, rather one exercised more than excessive amount of self-defense and turned the group in for bounty easily. “Awesome, it’s really floating in the air! Hey, what’s that?!” Watching the child (t/n: says ‘son’ but thought it might read better in english to just say the child) swinging from one emotion to the next in response to everything nearby with a sideways glance, Sol hesitated. He shouldn’t bring Sin along to the office where they collect their payment to avoid useless misunderstandings and suspicions. “I’ll be going alone from here, you stay put.” “..What why?! Are you gonna leave me behind again?” Sol tied the chain he had in his hand to a roadside tree in a back alley and started walking. Obviously, on the other end of the chain was a collar. And of course, the collar was fastened onto Sin. Sol juiced his wisdom from his former scientist days in order to come up with this strategy to restrain the restlessly noisy Sin. At first Sin greatly disliked it, but with Sol’s loving discipline, Sin gave in. (e/n: I swear to god this paragraph actually says these ridiculous things) (Even while having a foster father,) Sin restlessly looked around his surroundings. People walking past Sin saw that he was tied up with a collar and giggled. It did not bother Sin though. After searching for everything within a 5m radius, Sin takes a breath and realizes he’s been surrounded by 3 boys around his height. “Hey what’s with him! He’s wearing a collar/leash!” The ‘leader’ of the group points and laughs. The two other friends laugh with him. “Hey! Play a game with me!” Unable to read the mood, Sin invites them to play. Perhaps it was because he spent his whole time with a foster father who was much older than him, he did not have much opportunity to play with people his age. Because of this, he was very interested. “What the..is he stupid?” “So, what are we going to play?” “Hey, don’t be cheeky. Dressing up all weird and stuff (t/n: I would use shit but they’re elementary kids), which elementary school are you from?” Sin, who stood out in their “territory”, couldn’t help but be a nuisance to the kids. “Hey why don’t you say something huh?! You ignoring me??” Sin’s innocent remark irritated the boys. The leader became pissed off and grabbed Sin by the collar. However, Sin mistook that for a “game”. Growing up admiring his foster father’s superhuman movements, Sin secretly self-trained himself. Because of that, the movement of the boys looked nothing more than “play”. “Oh, huh? What kind of game is this?” The boys became furious at those words. “Stop screwing around! Don’t look down on us!” “Forget it, lets beat him up!” The boys surrounded Sin, clenching their fists. At that point, Sin finally realized this wasn’t a “game”. “Wearing a weird eyepatch, you trying to be cool or something?!” “Too cool for stye huh??” (t/n: stye is an eye disease) The boys rolled up their sleeves and reached for Sin’s eyepatch one after another. One managed to scratch the eyepatch and slide it out of place. At that moment, his right eye was exposed for a split second. “Don’t... fucking touch that!” Sin covered his right eye with his hand in a hurry. There is no more pain..but to Sin, it (t/n: assumedly, displaying the eye) was a taboo. Each time his right eye is touched, the abominable image that’s burned into his mind is revived like a revolving lantern. Silently but surely, a wrath that has nowhere to go boiled up inside Sin. “W-what was that....gross...” The kids who caught a glimpse of the inside of his right eye felt that they have touched upon something that they should not have laid their hands on. “L..let’s just go...his eye’s scary” (t/n: The character for this eye refers more towards the eyeball/pupil+iris of the eye, so they had looked at something ‘inside’ the pupil/iris.) The boys unconsciously distance themselves. Sin held his right eye and as he stared at them with his left, leaned forward. “D-Don’t come near us! You monster!!” Those words were enough to collapse Sin’s restraint. “U-UWAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!” Sin roared with such impact that the surrounding buildings shook. Sin’s body became charged as black lightning surged to the heavens. The boys were hit full force from the shockwave and were sent flying, landing several meters away. =================== By the time Sol got back, there was a crowd of people that had gathered who noticed Sin’s outburst. Sin cowered as he held his right eye. Seeing the boys on the ground past Sin, Sol understood. “Sin, did you do this?” “......” “Which is it?” “B-because these guys...” -KRACKOOOOOOOOOM- Before those words were even finished, Sol’s boots rammed into Sin’s body. The impact sent Sin flying along with with tree that was attached to his chain. The onlookers gasped at the unbelievable sight and the clatter ceased immediately. Sol calmly walked up to the boys. The surrounding gallery gulped and looked on. “Seems like my stupid son caused some trouble...” “N-no..don’t be silly!!” “I properly disciplined him. I also paid back your pain by double.” (double my ass!!!) Is what everyone in area thought at that precise moment. “So now we’re even for the trouble right?” “Y-y-yes! Absolutely!!” As they were saying that they turned their heels and tried to run away quickly. However, a merciless voice was heard from behind them. “....wait.” As if you were able to hear their frightened “Hiiiiiii~^!!” screech, the boys looked back. “...I-is there something else?” Responded the leader in a shrill voice. “We’re even for the trouble. But...” “???” “That Thing (Sin) is stupid, but he wouldn’t raise his fist for nothing. ‘Cause I trained him very well.....You shits, what did you do?” Not particularly trying to threaten, Sol was more or less his usual self. However, to the children, Sol’s large body that was inching towards them and the previous impact of the kick was exactly the object of fear. “It was your selfishness right? You better properly pay your dues....” =================== "Sorry old man...I..I just lost control." “.....Don't worry, just learn to tolerate it next time." "....Ok." =================== OMAKE (Bonus) "Say, old man....that weapon you use, do you think I can use that?" "This? Doubt it." "Oh, yeah it seems like I'm more compatible with lightning." "It's not the matter of attribute, but what's with this conversation all of a sudden?" "Well, I thought it's about time. I want to fight like you, old man. So I want a weapon!" "It's a bit fast but...what kind of weapon did ya have in mind?" "Well, first off it has to be manly!! The type you can do an aggressive charge with! Oh and also a stylish form is a must!" "....." "Oh and the most important thing is that it has to be incredibly eye-catching!" (t/n: the actual phrase here was a bit engrishy- something Sin has a knack for doing, so we gave it a more grammatical equivalent) ".....Wave a flag or something." ".....!??!" -

... yeah, no. It says 自問自答 Which means to ask oneself... soliloquizing, basically. Maybe learn Japanese before trying to correct a native speaker and giving out misinformation. It's okay to say 'I don't know'. There's still nothing about Ky's eyepatch in there, so you're just making shit up again (which I thought you hated....) edit: oh yeah, Sin should be up tonight, doing the beta now. -

Yeah no when I say Blade, I mean that Blade, not Bladeofjustice lol Yeah, since Suzaku already did those, we're just doing the ones that were never finished. Funny that Blade pretty much lists these as his own on his scribd or whatever. Would explain why they're actually well translated though ...on that topic, we took the weekend off, so Sin should be finished up this week hopefully! We haven't decided what we're doing next but probably Valentine or Izuna. We might skip Paradigm for now since no one cares about him anyway lol -

>Taking something Blade translated seriously If you mean these ones, please ask permission first. I'll ask the person on tumblr who has been going through LtA, then, since they actually... read Japanese. Blade does not have access to LtA anyway from what he's said, so I doubt he got it from there. It's more of his personal headcanon, like his assumptions about the OutRage and the elements. This is my assumption as well. Yes, the Overture Materials Collection.
