Yeah, kinda. I just think there must be better ways to implement story into a fighting game, and I trust Arc to be able to find that balance. I don't think they have it yet.

I guess on terms of the back and forth dialogue bits? The visual novel stuff I mean is like, the cutscenes that are like 5 minutes long at certain points of the story? Overture had. Lot of talking of course but I can kinda forgive it for the genre it was.

This. Really. I honestly find Blazblue harder to follow than GG, perhaps because I've spent more time with GG, but there's not much difficulty to the story if you pay attention: That it, that's the main story. And I honestly dislike the story presentation of Blazblue and hope GG doesn't adopt it. I personally really have no interest in that visual novel style presentation. I think what GG really needs is simply for some terms to be explained so we understand them when used in context- stuff like blacktech, the OUTRAGE, 'steps' and 'chords' introduced in Overture etc more simply explained. Could use a kind of glossary of terms, stick it in one of the artbooks or something. A lot more of what IS confusing would make sense if we just knew what the things that get introduced without explanation meant.

You mean the 'Congratulations!' cut in when you win a battle, right? It's all the fightable characters so like... Slayer, Chipp, Zappa, Bridget, Millia, Ky, Dizzy probably? The Queen design is used within the game probably and her recognizable (battle) outfit in-battle maybe in addition to the card. Don't worry you get your ridiculous stripper outfit still.

But, Robo-Ky is a separate character from Ky Kiske. HOS and Sol Badguy are the same person with separate playstyles. This is my thought as well (but I'm not familiar enough with how differently nuIori and classic play)

HOS because he's the same person as another character in the game even if the play is totally different; Justice and Kliff because they were already removed from the game for awhile already, due to both being dead, even though they're back in R. That's why many people think other characters might inherit their playstyles (or at least HOS's). I'm not sure why so many people think Robo-Ky will be gone although I suppose AC+ did basically seal the fact that his production line was supposed to be phased out no matter which ending you got. But how much story will determine roster, who knows, but again they already did with regards to Justice and Kliff, so it's possible.

That's the thing causing confusion, apparently on the website it says Sin is 6 in Vastedge, but as your math shows, that's not possible if it takes place between 2185 and 2186/7. Seems like it. And... wait. How the hell can Sin be 6? Dizzy is ~5-6 in Overture (3 in AD 2181), and Sin was ~2-3 in Overture (born 2182/3, Overture takes place in 2185). Arc, check your math please... 8|

Welp, to be fair, his song in Overture is also titled The Man. But again, Engrish, and iirc all actual translations of GG correct it to 'That', so... It's actually slightly different from what I can tell of Xrd's but it is the one (and actually his entire outfit is the same as) he's wearing in all the pre-Overture art, for example his story illustration the Overture artbook (http://www.zerochan.net/301053) as Tenjin pointed out, and several artbook covers. Thanks for the explanation of the story stuff/translations, Tenjin. Makes sense for it to be between Overture and Xrd, now if we could just get them delicious story deets...
