Say whut? Celica and Lamb-chops? Well...this is unexpected.
-
Huh Marie eh? Well I imagine the whole P4AU playerbase is spewing salt with every breath, screaming at the Heavens. Or maybe they're like me who's excited to have another edition since I never got to play Golden and have no working knowledge of Marie's character... Either way this is fun news and it is nice to have options made available to you when you're thinking of picking up a different character. Looking forward to screens and eventual trailer.

Would it be too naive of me to think the release date would be like with Arena, where we only had to wait 12 days (or 2 weeks) for the NA version?
-
Curious, they mention "No region lock for North and South Americas" but does that mean the JPN version isn't locked as well? I'm not importing but I do like me my early spoilers to let me know what to expect from the game (Challenges, Golden Arena, etc.).

Somewhere...in the deep-seated troll-chasm that is Terumi's psyche he's thinking "WORTH IT".

Depends on the situation: -Normal Wail Damage: 2500. W/2C Boost: 3750. -Counter-hit Wail Damage: 3000. W/2C Boost: 4500. -Fear Wail Damage: 4200. W/2C Boost: 6300. -SB Wail Damage with Fear and 2C Boost: 7800. (*No footage exists with other situations for now*) **With Negative Penalty state, which Elizabeth can inflict via Randomizer, Fear and 2C Boost, Wail damage can go up to 9500 with [C] version (from P4A). SB might even be an outright kill. Good luck actually landing the move in the timeframe before NP disappears though. I like the name "Dancely Wail" though. Makes me picture Rise in a Halloween costume making ghostly "OoooooOOOOooooooHHhhhhhhh" sounds.

Under Night In-Birth, PS3 release confirmed (Jul 24, 2014)
Luminos564 replied to Hecatom's topic in Under Night In Birth
Holy crap it IS happening! I had given up on ever playing this game but here we are. One of the best news I've heard all day. Thank you for sharing. -
Yeah, I think I am gonna refrain from paying attention to any tier lists until people start playing with the new characters (Rise, Adachi, Ken&Koromaru) in the mix. Is it really? From the look of it, it seems that if her barrier catches an attack it electrocuted right away. But even if she misses, it still electrocutes after a set period. That seems pretty good to me, though I wager she can take damage if she guesses wrong and the opponent hits her before the electricity comes out.

We do not know. All we have is that trailer from a while back and that told us (mostly) bugger all about his mechanics. Oh and that little tidbit from a magazine claiming he can buff and debuff somehow.
-
I guess someone on the localization team didn't like cabbages. I kinda like the localized title though since "dick" is slang for "detective" (a lot of times derogatory). Also hey, whoever called the Terumi palette with Ghost Terumi M.Izanagi deserves a medal. So he's taking the Random Slot under Yu. No more potential additions then?
-
Ah crud-on-a-barbecue I need to be somewhere during that time. Will it be archived? Or is anyone planning on recording it and uploading it to another video hosting site? Mucho thanks in advance.

Trailers by their very nature are meant to generate excitement and anticipation from the viewers. This is true for pretty much any trailer, be it film, game or music-related. The focus is much more on the visual appeal than what is considered "optimal". To that end, trailers are edited to showcase all the fun shit you can do with a character, when in reality, that's probably not how we're going to end up playing the character. Take for instance that move of Adachi's where he makes a black-flame spiral. How much you wanna bet the move is actually very situational and otherwise not all that good gameplay-wise? But does it look impressive? Very much so.

AFAIK 5D can still catch crouching opponents. It's just that the range on it is so poor that it can whiff pretty easily. At least you can CH J.C>J.D or Mabufudyne>J.D in some situations.
-
Curious, who's the lady in the lab-coat in the 3rd image? Getting some serious Litchi vibes from her for some reason.
-
Oh wow we finally get to see him in action. And it is great! I love how much he points and laughs at his opponents (the fact this was done to Teddie makes me smile enormously). By the way, is it weird that while watching this trailer I kept singing "Anything Yu can do, I can do better. I can do anything better than Yu" in my head?
-
Wasn't it Thursday? I'm pretty sure that was the day of the week anyway.
-
He has Yu's Ziodyne as a special as opposed to a super? Am I to dance for joy or cower in fear at this? But I'm liking what I see, in particular that meter-bomb move he pulled off on Yukari in that screenshot.

And so we do. Great now I feel like I need corrective lenses. But this is a good idea. P4A's menu looked a little too cluttered, even though it offered some pretty standard modes for an ASW game. Though I will miss the random sprites standing around and especially floating Lizzie but whatever works.
-
Looking here, it looks like this ought to be more of an E3 build than anything since we only see: -Arcade Mode. -Score Attack Mode. -Golden Arena Mode. -Versus Mode. Unless there was a separate menu tab not shown in the video, Training, Challenge (though I really wouldn't mind seeing this gone), Network, Gallery and Story are all absent. No traces of the Lesson/Tutorial mode either which ASW loves to use. There is also P$, which I hazard to guess is similar to BBExtend and BBCP for purchasing stuff in some manner.

More from Gametrailers, featuring a S. Junpei and Elizabeth duking it out in the new stage. It looks positively fantastic http://www.gametrailers.com/videos/f4d8t0/persona-4-arena-ultimax-e3-2014--junpei-vs-elizabeth-gameplay--cam-. Only sad thing is that there is no sound but meh, footage is footage.

Funny thing about them is that a good number of them are not insulting though. Lizzie, Labrys, Shadow Labrys, Sho and MINAZUKI all have titles that don't sound insulting or demeaning. Rather, they sound rather threatening. "Lethal Elevator Attendant", "Raging Bull of Destruction", "Scar-faced Dark Messiah"? All titles refer to them as someone you don't want to run into in a dark alley. As for the Yukari E3 footage, I like it. Would have liked to see more, but I'll take what I can get.
-
Think nothing of it. I was just glad to be able to be of some actual help. If anything, I had the easy job. You wrote down every single notation and compiled them into one neat little file. That's awesome and thanks a lot. IIRC, Randomizer has a set duration with version A having a very short one, while B/SB versions are long. Though I wonder, does Randomizer Negative Penalty wear off if Lizzie takes a hit like the other status ailments?
-
Best trailer of the lot so far. Why is it that the villains always seem to get the best presentations? Or soundtracks? *Patiently waits for translations*. Curious that they'd reveal the summary of it so quickly considering it's DLC and supposedly something which they ran out of time to put on the disc, but oh well, still happy anyway.

BlazBlue Official Art Thread and Directory
Luminos564 replied to Chaoschao222's topic in Zepp Museum
Not that I'm aware of. This is actually the first I've heard of him ever directly asking people not to spoil something. You're right though, asking explicitly to remain hush-hush for only the last 2 pages is most suspect and it really may be something big that affects the whole franchise (or gives away a lot of the mystery). -
Too bad you posted just as I finished Xp. Well if anyone is interested I do have it on me just in case you want to compare. As for the poison damage, you might as well not. If the damage isn't listed and since we know it is not the full duration of ~1,200 you might as well leave it out. But you can mention that the damage is increased due to poison for the readers, despite what the numbers say. EDIT: That is of course, unless you DO know the actual poison value. If you have that information, you can include it on the side as additional damage. Like say, writing down Combo Damage value+Poison Damage or something. As for the combos themselves, I like them. I mean, I am never going to be able to pull them off or anything because I'm a 10-thumbed twit who couldn't string together 5 moves if his life depended on it, but man Damosu makes Lizzie look almost viable. It's nice to know that when everyone has up and abandoned the character, there's at least someone out there willing to experiment instead of just picking Yu and winning 99.9% of the time.
