I don't think it's for those either since during a later clip a Rise punches the one with the shield and the health still goes down. Maybe it just does something mundane like prevent chip damage? Or perhaps she can bounce off her musical notes off of it?

Well I'll be damned, that looks fun as hell. Slap-slap Super looks just downright hilarious.

Oh man you just know he's spreading his salty-sweet lies: Point 1: People want Celica playable. Mori Answer/Lie: Celica can't fight (in-story). You know that right? Translation: Please ignore the fact that we've JUST announced Rise for P4U2, a character who "can't fight". Point 2(A): People wanting Jubei. Mori Answer/Lie: "His hitbox would be too small so no-can do". Point 2(B): But you could artificially increase it by having him wear that armor he's depicted in. Mori Answer/Lie: "But we'd always drawn him in a hoodie. Drawing him in armor would be..." Translation: I am completely out of excuses as to why that wouldn't work so just take my word for it. It's not like I never lied about a certain other Kokonoe character of the Jubei family tree being playable.

Under Night In-Birth, PS3 release confirmed (Jul 24, 2014)
Luminos564 replied to Hecatom's topic in Under Night In Birth
Huh, so ASW is bringing UNiB to consoles then. Any chance we get this thing localized? I mean, someone was able to do this with Aquapazza or however the hell you spell that, so is there a chance for this game too? -
I envisioned something similar to that only instead of actually powering up your character directly, it would instead empower the Navigator who in turn will provide bonuses to you/debuffs to the enemy. If that's the case, Fuuka and Mitsuru will be the only Navigators I use for it XD. One wonders if this means we will get all the Navigators off the bat and not have to break our thumbs completing Challenges or Score Attack (I still have not completed either, damn you ATLUS).

Small thing to add, but jC no longer consumes One-Handed Sword Master buff. It did in P4A (P4U), but this is no longer the case in P4U2. I know I've seen Lizzie players hit someone with jC with the sword icon present and it was not consumed.

Well if she's got the power of rock on her side, Yu's as good as dead against her. Or if you want Rise to put Yu-I-can't-believe-they-left-me-unchecked to shame just include any/all of the following: -4K damage off of 5A/2A. -Combos that last forever. -Insane spacing game. -Unblockable vortex-like attack. -SP gain up the wazoo. Heh sounds. I see what you did there.
-
Well, Rise is playable. Alright I'm game. And like many have already thought, she uses a microphone (or at least has it in her portrait). Oh ASW you and your easily-read intentions you. But wait, this means Ken is playable too (most likely). Well since he's being used, I hope you enjoy being a permanent addition to my punching bag stock you little twerp. Get acquainted with Teddie, Yosuke and Yu because you're in for a long haul. But with this, we've got all of the P4 cast assembled while we're only missing Fuuka and Makoto/P3 Protagonist on the P3 side. This should be good. EDIT: Well who did Yu have to romance to get a new arcade art for himself? Unless of course, Yu is just a sample and they're redoing it for the whole roster.

Strife if it were any other company in recent years, I'd call you a lying sack of jell-o. But given how utterly odd and downright...what's a good word...improvident ASW has been lately, I don't know whether to laugh or slam my head into my desk. Honestly, I am still holding out that maybe, just maybe, the videos to come are going to be some good news for Lizzie. But I don't think I am gonna hold my breath. Who knows? Maybe Eshi has the right idea after all (though I kinda doubt that ASW is that generous).

I'll exaggerate paraphrase but I think I'll capture the true spirit and meaning behind it: Employee #341: "Shit guys, P4A Lizzie is bad but she does too much damage. There's got to be a way we can cut down her playerbase by at least 75%". Employee #909: "I've got an idea senpai. Why don't we make it so that her Ghastly Wail combos suck by having Mabufudyne take away the 2C buff?" Employee #341: "BRILLIANT! For that, you get to expand Mitsuru's ballistics and make'em bounce even more". Employee #909: "It's a dream come true". Employee #1337: "EMERGENCY people! People are not using Yu Narukami nearly enough!" Mori: *Does Gendo Ikari pose* "Get to it my slaves".

You always could. One of the challenges even asks you to combo into it from Counter-hit 5C. The big thing required is that you opponent needs to be in the "spinning" state for it to combo. Typically in a P4A match, a Lizzie player will need the following to do an optimum Ghastly Wail ender combo: 1. Get opponent to the corner. 2. Be in Awakening (obviously). 3. Have 100 SP minimum. 4. Do combo route where it ends in 214B (or 214AB if you got an extra 25 SP to burn), using 2C to prolong the Fear status during it. 5. Activate All out Attack. 6. OMC the AoA, putting the opponent into a spin-state. 7. Do Ghastly Wail (normally version C) for massive damage. In P4U2, the Bufudyne takes up the 2C buff and you need even more SP for the SB Ghastly Wail which lowers the damage drastically. For reference, depending on the starter, Lizzie could do anywhere from 7.4K to 9K worth of damage with a Ghastly Wail ender in P4A. In P4U2, not only do you need more SP but the maximum damage I've seen an SB Ghastly Wail even do was 7.7K.

You know what'd be a GREAT way to justify losing the 2C buff on the Bufudyne series with Ghastly Wail enders? By allowing Thanny-kun to grab people that are already put on ice. 5D and JD can grab characters that are put on ice now, I've see it done a couple times. So why not Ghastly Wail? It would both spare us the additional 50SP we'd need to spend on OMCs and actually allow (D) Ghastly Wail some fucking use (its speed and range are piss poor at the moment). Right now, it's dead weight in Lizzie's arsenal, much like Mamudoon, SB Mamudoon and SB Mind Charge. I mean think about it, (D) Ghastly Wail has a minimum damage of 2000. That's nothing to scoff at when we're already losing the 2C buff on Bufudyne and could serve to up her damage significantly in Awakening. But like I said; we don't have this luxury. Which is a shame because I now REALLY want to toss Popsicle people into a death god's coffin.

That's a mighty tall order chief, considering they were the ones that put her in this predicament to begin with and have not exactly made the best balance possible with P4U2. Added BBCP's very sloppy localization left me with little faith in them as a company, let alone a fighting game developer so asking me to put my faith in them again in regards to Lizzie, my absolute favorite character out of this whole series, is not something I think I can do right now. Not until I see these changes in action anyway.,,

Why must you crush my dreams? *Sigh* Well, so much for being optimistic I guess. Then again, it's probably better this way. If I get too excited I might get too blind to notice simple facts. Hey I agreed with that though. Honestly, when you're bottom of the barrel, you pretty much pray for at least putting up a decent fight before being snuffed out. It's 125 meter total (not that unlikely) and I know some players will OMC the ground throw when close to the corner for that one. I was mostly thinking of how cool it would be to actually see it, though it also could a fine kill strategy if Lizzie's opponent is not under Fear and you have the 2C buff. Activate air throw (instill Fear)>OMC>SB Wail for increased damage. Granted I don't know what the proration is for the throws but there you go. And to reiterate, the combo (likely) CANNOT BE DONE. I just kinda wish you COULD do it.
-
I agree. Granted most of his/her fights ended in losses but considering they were up against pretty high-up characters, I don't hold it against them. Matter of fact, they could have won the Yosuke match with Megidolaon (IK) had their read been slightly more on point (that Yosuke was very kunai-happy which I am betting the Lizzie was banking on). Too bad it didn't work out (damn Yosuke decided to be more random right then) considering that'd have been the first time I'd seen Megidolaon pulled off at the JPN arcades. At least he beat the tar out of Teddie I will not rest until I see that character wiped from the roster like excrement from a boot, which made me very happy. Small point since this will likely matter even for version 1.10 but, I thought it was mentioned that SB Ghastly Wail could not catch point blank opponents. Yet in these sets of videos, the Lizzie definitely was point blank against Teddie and definitely caught him with it. Not that I am complaining. Lizzie needs all the help she can get. Though, I wonder if SB Ghastly Wail has some interesting properties. In one of the older vs. Mitsuru matches I noticed that SB Ghastly Wail caught Mitsuru after she hop-cancelled one of her moves and was definitely off the ground. That made me wish someone could do Aerial Throw>OMC>SB Ghastly Wail but I guess it isn't possible.

I'd like to make an avatar request. Is it at all possible to have image of Azrael from 2:44 to 2:48 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uF1h2uPgcKE#t=164 (before his emblem covers him) facing to the right with Thanatos from this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mf7cP9lDBT4#t=169 (going from 2:49 to 2:51, just before the "Elizabeth Win" pops up) behind him? If the confetti is too much from the latter video, can Azrael just be put into that stage? Thanks in advance.

5PPP seems to be primarily used in corner combos since the 3rd hit will have the opponent stuck to the wall/corner for a moment, allowing you enough time to go into another combination attack. Otherwise, the combination is used as an ender to push the opponent further to the corner. Come to think of it, 5KKK does the same thing I think. Wonder why more Ramlethal players don't use it?
-
I'm not saying you're wrong though. A character that lacks a reliable (or readily available) reversal is by no means an easy ride to use. But them's the brakes I suppose. What we have here is a character whose offense can be phenomenal...at the cost of defensive options being very limited. Sounds like a typical glass-cannon to me. It's a type of character you either love or hate. Not much else you can do about it. Having said that though, since Ramlethal is fairly new the ensuing months will likely demonstrate just where she stands. If she turns out to be garbage (which I honestly doubt considering this is GG) ASW can always patch it to make her work better.
-
Maybe it's just me, but I honestly see her Tension gain limitations as a means of preventing her from reaching Kokonuts-levels. If you think about it, if she gained Tension like everyone else, she'd probably be nigh unapproachable and always have Tension to burn for RCs due to her combination attacks. Added, all her Overdrives are amazing with little risk (barring certain situations) and her pressure is very good when working in conjunction with her placed swords. I dunno, maybe I'm not seeing the bigger picture as I am hardly someone who can be classified as a "good" player, but I think I am fine with characters having an inherent flaw or weakness...unless said flaws/weaknesses make them utterly unplayable/not viable against the majority of the cast like P4U2 Lizzie. Then I have a problem with it. Plus I figure, it's barely been 2 weeks since her integration. I am not expecting anything major until a month has passed anyway.
-
I thought the patch was already live and the, reported new characters are coming out on the 24th/25th? Bah, whatever, I can wait a week. Also yeah, we finally have something gameplay related to talk about. We were running a virtual desert for the last few months. Now I need to actually learn Garu loops. Never could get the hang of them in P4A since I got much more reliable damage off of the SB Maragidyne routes. Well, nothing ventured, nothing gained as they say. Basically what Elochai says. Whenever Thanny does 2C he moves slightly forward though it was barely noticeable. With this one, he should be able to move further forward which I argue should help land Mabufudyne easier since 2C's untech time is still less than P4A.
-
Key words being "later on". He learns Mediarahan at lv.79 while Yukari learns it at lv.74. Admittedly that is not a very large difference but by the time you start maxing out characters, you are going to have powerhouse Persona and access to things like Victory Cry, Armageddon and Monad Depths so Mediarahan is long since outdated by that time. Then again, I am going off of P3: FES and not P3P, but yeah by the time my MC gained the ability to use Armageddon with Victory Cry on one of the Personae, you pretty much no longer even need anyone to heal you and reduce all regular fight down to "select Armageddon, press X and win battle".
-
To their credit: what else did she even have going for her? Besides, she was a glass-cannon in P4A. Getting by on her damage is kinda the point. But I'm glad that I am not the only one that thinks her damage ought to rise from this. Seriously, burning 50SP for a combo route that won't even break 3K when other characters can do that meterless? Yeah, bugger that nonsense.
-
Que? What do you mean by that? Are you saying that Lizzie's new stuff will somehow allow people (bad players) to win by doing random stuff and doing lucky hits? If so, I'd like more elaboration on that. The current stuff doesn't spell to me an era where Lizzie is akin to pre-patch Kokonuts.

Largely the hate he gets is on 2 fronts (well 3 if you want to include the nitpicky/petty ones). 1. Like you said, he's largely responsible for Shinjiro's death and gets virtually no consequence for it outside of being angsty for a few days. Nobody lectures him (well Akihiko does, but there is no indignation in his speech during that segment at all). Nobody lets him know that they think what he's done is unacceptable. He's just welcomed back with no penalty. 2. As a party member, he's largely useless. You have Akihiko for your Zio-needs, Hama-stuff is situational, his other skills are barely even worth mentioning and unlike Koromaru, Ken doesn't have an additional strength (Koromaru nulls fire and darkness, but Ken can only null light). 3. Most simply don't like his design at all, be it from his voice, to his appearance. I've heard of several people even say that Kala-Nemi is far worse in appearance as opposed to Nemesis. Personally, I don't like Ken at all. Mostly because of #2. But provided he gets in, I'll just use him as my punching bag.
