  1. Was Jam really that scary with a low parry?
  2. Well from the look of things (based on that Yukari video) it comes out real fast and can be placed right at the opponent's current location. Its minimum damage is reported to be low, but at 2500 raw and the fact that Yukari can move while it is in effect, makes me feel she can combine it with her Evade or Furious action for a cross-up. It's also invulnerable according to the notes so...reversal or perhaps getting past some annoying Ziodynes?
  3. Wait, November 28th? Seriously? Can't believe it would be this soon. But then again, P4U2 needs to run its arcade course since Xrd is on the horizon. ... Well pardon my French, but "FUCK YEAH! LIZZIE GHASTLY TIME BABY!" .
  4. Yeah this kind of seemed excessive to me as well. That is, until she does her Inazuma Kick to the back of Jin's head (after he is gloating over being Unlimited and beating a gimped Ragna), followed by promptly chewing his ear out without letting him get a word in. After that, I could tolerate her at worst and find her adorable at best. And I don't particularly dislike Jin myself. It's just that seeing the guy who usually doesn't take crap from womenfolk be utterly at a loss of words when one calls him out on his jackassery was damn entertaining to watch.
  5. Well, I never got around to playing #Reload either but it's not that big a deal. If you've already played the past GG, then chances are you got your foundations down and will adapt to the new stuff very quickly. Kinda like riding a bike, only this time you removed one part from it in favor of another. Come to think of it, if you play ASW fighters in general, then I think you'd be alright.
  6. So wait, does that mean we have 2 characters capable of killing time (Haku-men with Time Killer and Jubei with Hihiirokane) or is the name of Jubei/Tomonori's sword simply a decorative one? Bonus question: is Hihiirokane later turned into Jubei's Nox Nyctores or is it a separate sword altogether?
  7. Oh wow, you're right. I didn't even think of that possibility. Good thinking .
  8. Uuuuhhhh, Yu? Never make that face again . I don't think anyone's smile should be able to stretch the entire width of one's face. Oh alright. Then I am just glad that it's back to that value for now. I imagine the timer might be roughly the same or perhaps shorter than the regular version, if only to preserve the balance. I should point out that Mamudoon was blockable in P4A so the same likely applies now (I mean, it's an instant kill super so making it unblockable would be kind of overpowering). But at the same time, Mamudoon's activation countdown was faster than Mahamaon. It's just that Mamudoon was nigh impossible to land on an opponent. But yes, I cannot wait for this game to be out in the arcades so I can see my Lizzie's new gameplans. Debilitate is a bit unconventional for a charge move though (hold [6] and then press 4). I actually don't think a charge input like that exists in many fighting games (if any). But I will admit, she's definitely sounds like she's going in the right direction. With the right set-up, she can utterly demolish the competition. Seriously, 7.8K with SB Ghastly Wail is nothing to scoff at. EDIT: On second thought, Debilitate's input isn't really a problem in P4U2 since the game lacks command normals like 6A, 6B and so on.
  9. Oh nice. This makes it a very potent pressure tool since in P4A, pulling out 5C on a guarding opponent only served to distance Lizzie from Thanny, not to mention leaving him open to breaks. This is good. This is news to me, but it is VERY good news. In keeping with the 5C dash cancel, this allows Lizzie to both apply pressure and keep Thanny safe. If there's one thing I learned while playing her, is that w/o Thanny, Lizzie doesn't have anything else to rely on. This helps immensely. Impressive. ASW took an already good move and made it even better. I thought the 8000 health was already from loketest #1? Well it's still good news. I like glass cannons and all, but Lizzie was not even a glass cannon in P4A. She was a cookie/biscuit cannon at best . Hopefully the final version sticks with the good stuff while minimizing the bad. Though looking back, it seems that Lizzie received the most extensive overhaul between the versions. It literally sounds like she's two characters in one what with how she functions pre-AWKN and post-AWKN. Also for fun: That's actually a pretty good thing. See the original Mamudoon was always placed above Lizzie. Unfortunately, the timer, loss of it during hit/block made it useless. Mahamaon was useless too, but at least you could set it up in very situational combos. But if SB Mamudoon is placed in front of Lizzie then this becomes deadly if backed up with her ability to inflict Paralysis via Maziodyne. I don't remember if Mamudoon was unblockable but if it is, this is a pretty dangerous combination in Lizzie's hands.
  10. I dunno. That could be because Yosuke only has 3 cards to recover. Characters like Kanji and Akihiko recharge them much faster since they only have 2 cards to begin with. Lizzie and Shadow Labrys may take approximately twice as long to recover than Yosuke. Of course, I could be wrong too since this is youtube and as we all should know by now, youtube speed =/= game-speed.
  11. I'm kind of at a titanium wall right now. I'm still currently stuck with BBCS Extend since I need to wait for the NA version. So I thought to use my months to beat my awful, scrubby Haku-men tactics out and play a character I wanted to use for a long time now: u-12. Unfortunately, that has been a brutal wake-up call. 212 straight losses and I feel like I've made a terrible mistake in even trying. The fact I am in the middle of my D-pad-to-stick transition is not helping me either. About the only positive I can even account for is that I no longer lose my cool over a humiliating loss but that's it. Everything else has been one frustration after another and even if I take time off from the game, it all comes back once I start failing again.
  12. Thanks for the videos Omex. So...Yukari is looking pretty damn good from what I can see. R-Action/Furious Action looks pretty useful. I wonder if you could do her Magarudyne>OMC>R-Action for a cross-up...? She also seems to not rely on Isis a lot since it is real slow to attack herself, relying instead on the Magaru orbs for the arrows. Also, if you guys haven't noticed it already, but Yosuke didn't seem to start recovering from Persona Break immediately. From the look of things it wasn't even because Yukari had Yosuke in a combo (though that could have extended it). The Persona Break occurred after Yukari's Burst, then Yosuke recovered but still did not start regaining cards and it wasn't until Yukari finished her combo that it finally began to recharge. That sounds like mighty death sentence for Lizzie and Shadow Labrys since they have 6 cards each and that already takes time to recover without adding this pause.
  13. Thanks for translating Omex ('_')7, you're a godsend. I'm confused, were both 5D and j.D ranges nerfed? I think this might be a nerf in some way. I think the original Ghastly Wail was, IIRC, 1.2K minimum damage. Spending 75 meter for even less feels like a nerf at least. Then again, damage is reported to be lower in the game compared to P4A anyway so maybe that's not so bad. As in 7.8K? That's...actually pretty damn impressive. Though wasn't 2C nerfed in some way since last loketest or could they have potentially buffed it for the 3rd one? Wait, the whole rising slash homes in? And quickly? That sounds pretty good. At least the Awakened moves aren't trash like in the last loketest. Come on ASW, don't let me down. I need to see Lizzie rise to the top be a viable character for once. Fix Kanji while you are at it too. Poor guy can't catch a break from you. You can make Teddie be the fish at the bottom of the barrel here. I won't mind *hint hint nudge nudge*.
  14. OK that was just plain gold. And now you made me wish Guts strolled one day into the BB-universe and then started going around wrecking shit. Matter of fact, why DOESN'T Kagura have a Guts palette? Still good job.
  15. Maybe that's the thing: what if they're not thinking at all? Reading through the doc, it looks like a giant mess unless you're Aigis or Yu. I can only hope that out of all this chaos, we get a decent fighter.
  16. Maybe it is like Order-Sol's Dragon Install: Sakkai? I remember that move being pretty much there just for the swagger since it needed the full 100 tension and a lv.3 charge. And yes, thank for the info Stunedge. You too Omex.
  17. I think someone took the nerf bat to their brains one time too many . Yeah, yeah it's a loketest and these changes are not the final product. But, this is the 3rd one now, and possibly even the last one. That's at least some cause for alarm if this is the kind of changes they had in mind. That too, though I can forgive that since I recall that neither Labrys or Shadow Labrys were available in the initial build of the game and were added later. Hmm, that sounds like a fun little gimmick for Mitsuru. I say gimmick (for now at least) since I recall that Droit has lowered range now.
  18. Now what's going on here in the Arena boards? *SURPRISE LOKETEST #3* Oh, neat. I wonder if ASW actually got around to making Elizabeth a decent character for once... *Lizzie still sucks* Oh come on! ASW why do you do this to me? Then again, it looks like Kanji, Chie and Mitsuru have both been run over by the nerf truck...repeatedly.
  19. Eh, to me it looked more like Jin not really comprehending that a foreign object was being inserted into him. And then it dawned on him that said object did not belong to Niiii-san.
  20. Oh, that sounds useful then. True enough. Out of curiosity, how long did it take for the CS2 patch to hit after the initial CS1 version? I know it was after Valkenhayn was released, but don't remember specifics.
  21. Hey, I never said I didn't enjoy it, did I ? Plus it gave me this little gem so I think I'll stick around to see just how much more beautiful it can get.
  22. Huh, and what could that be? More tutorials? More Beginner/Stylish mode options? I assume this is in Network Mode. It could be both a good and a bad thing. It's good in the sense that it allows new players to seek out a starting point appropriate to their skill level. On the other hand, if the system simply judges "beginner-friendly" as "a lot of low ranks gather here" then it might present a problem since I know that a number of long-time BB players aren't increasing their rank due to bugs that accompany Ranked matches. In particular, the one where someone can rage-quit on you and still be given the win. Excellent. From the sound of things, some people are having serious trouble with online right now, even in Japan at 4 bars. Question is: will they change it in the 5 months for the localized version?
  23. So things that caught my eye this episode: -Bang's scar is treated the same way as Hazama/Terumi's face and in no two shots will it be the same size. -Ooooh, an exploitable comedy goldmine. -I know most anime eyes can phase through the hair but this is just silly. -Now this, made my day. It's like something you'd see from a Saturday Morning cartoon. Conclusion: the animators were off their rocket this episode.
  24. Hey Zedar, does Makoto interact at all with Ragna during the story (when she isn't working on helping Tsubaki or punching Kagura unconscious)? Their versus match seems to imply at least some degree of familiarity so I'd like to know if this was at all addressed.
  25. Don't forget Taokaka and, potentially, Makoto (they seem rather friendly towards each other in their matches though I haven't seen much of them together in Story). So that's 3 or 4 people that could protest to the notion of killing him. Strangely enough, Izanami may also count. Granted she said she'd enjoy watching him suffer though she admits she'd rather have him by her side instead.
