  1. Not really an option now. See Kokonoe installed a "Celica-nullify" device on/in Ragna's artificial arm (the one he blew up to save Noel in CS, not his Azure arm) which enabled him to use his Azure Grimoire and seithr while in Celica's presence. And though that served well in halting Take-Mikazuchi and Nu-13, it came back to bite the heroes in the ass once Beast!Ragna emerged. Long and short of it: they need to take out the device first if they hope to suppress that transformation. Unfortunately this also presents a dilemma since that ultimately leaves Ragna severely weakened and unable to do much of anything. Either they keep the device and run the risk of Beast!Ragna wrecking their collective hides, or destroy the device to allow Celica to neutralize it but be down a powerful player. At least, that's the predicament they're in at the moment.
  2. So, I am stuck having to wait until March but I was hoping someone could give me a small heads up for the future when I do get my hands on CP. As of Extend, I decided to drop Haku-men, a character I've been using since CT in favor of Mu-12. And though I am utter garbage with her, it has been fun learning (still have a long way to go) and trying to kill my Haku-men habits. But basically, are the things I'll spend so long learning as EX Mu-12 be useful or matter once transitioning to CP? Or would it be better not to stick with her in Extend too much and keep myself open for other characters that also took my interest (Terumi, Kagura, Azrael and Kokonoe)?
  3. Hooboy, I got so many. Let's see: Haku-men (ENG): "Empty Sky Form: WINTER'S RESPOSTE!" Noel vs. Ragna (ENG): "I'm not dumb!" *It's positively adorable. Ragna in Rachel's Gag reel (ENG): "You twisted, evil, blood-sucking rabbit...what the hell do you think you're doing?" Makoto (ENG): "SPOOOON!" Rachel vs Kokonoe (ENG): "Oh my. A little shut-in girl comes to play outside? Should I expect a meteor to fall?" *And then you Astral her for extra points.
  4. Can't believe I forgot about Chipp. I'm sorry Mr. President...wait, I live in Canada...I'm sorry Mr. Prime Minister. Anyway, I think either JD Cullum or Steve Staley would do a fine job here.
  5. So we're going for some VA wishlist? Woot, let's see here: *Characters from current loketest* -Slayer: I'd freaking love Keith David here. How cool would that be? Sadly, chances of him ever being in an ASW game is nonexistent. So as backup I'd want Patrick Seitz using his Chopin (Eternal Sonata) voice if only because I know he doesn't need to do powerful characters that shout all the time. And if not even him, my vote goes to Travis Willingham. -Axl Low: Jason Spisak or Bryce Papenbrook. -Potempkin: Chris Sabat. The dude's voice just radiates "power". His Garland voice fits characters that look heavy and hit just as hard. -Venom: I'd actually say Liam O'brien here. While I didn't hate his Ky voice in GG2, his voice isn't generally suited towards the "hero" characters (see Stahn from Radiant Mythology). -Faust: Steven Blum provided he does his Orochimaru voice. It'd be creepy as hell which is generally the reaction I have whenever I see Faust on the screen. -Ky: Grant George. Hey, heroes are heroes plus in general, he does sound like someone who is ultimately about peaceful resolutions but ready to fight if need be. -Sol: This...is a tough one. Sol needs to be a lot of things: cynical, cocky, really fucking angry and often indifferent. And I am not sure I can find an alternative solution than Troy Baker/Matt Mercer at the moment. Or maybe D.C Douglas again. -May: Laura Bailey. Just please don't try to sound like Luna (Platinum). -I-no: Hellena Taylor. Have you heard Bayonetta? Yes? Then you know what I am talking about and why I said it. -Millia: Ali Hillis. Now before you skin me alive, let me tell you that I genuinely love the sound of her voice and think fits her character pretty well (avoids contact, wants revenge, alluring). I'd have even put her as I-no but changed my mind at the last minute. The only other voice actress whose voice I love nearly as much and think would fit is Tara Platt. *Characters not made (yet)* -Zappa: Quinton Flynn. Like I said, he can do galloping crazy really well. -Baiken: Karen Strassman or Erin Fitzgerald.
  6. Could be that he requires more work to be integrated into the new system and all that. Or maybe he's a bit of a bitch to animate. Could be either or both.
  7. Obligatory Quinton Flynn nomination. I'd love to hear him take on someone like Zappa and since I know he can do galloping crazy, I think he'd be perfect for the job. Also let's get some Steven Blum and Christopher Sabat in there. I really don't hear enough of them in fighting games.
  8. Am I the only one that finds Potemkin's victory screen pose to be damn hilarious? It's like he just missed the cab back to the Zepp Mothership XD. Thanks Neithan. Wasn't GG always about doing pretty big damage for relatively simple and short combos though? I don't remember much of AC but I do recall that certain characters could deal ~30%-45% damage fairly easily, if given the right stuff (like Zappa when he summons Raoh or A.B.A with Ultimate Double Edge).
  9. Yeah, that she did. I can't wait to hear more of her Kokonoe in the future. Though after re-watching, it seems like Haku-men's filter isn't the only thing that's changed since Kokonoe's release. Ragna's voice sounds off here. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it just doesn't sound like Patrick Seitz's usual Ragna. It's a little too "light" as opposed to "gruff". Though, it is really just the one line but still.
  10. Here's some Kokonoe in English (it skips Litchi and Arakune since Litchi's voice does not play and against Arakune she only mumbles): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SjBFrvSTZ4c&app=desktop Personally I love it. That Azrael intro was just pure, unadulterated badass. But, the hell did they do to Haku-men's filter again? Where's the hollow echo for my Transformer voice? Also, Rachel has apparently not bothered to get the 414 on Kokonoe's Astral otherwise she wouldn't make such a specific comment XD.
  11. But that's a little bit different isn't it? There is only one Hazama body (that we know of at least), while there's 3 Murakumo clones based on Saya (units 11, 12 and 13). If we're talking about the body, then for all intents and purposes, Lambda-11's body should be a dead ringer for Nu-13's own with the only thing missing is her half of the Azure.
  12. Wait, hold up. Then how does that explain Lambda-11? She died in Continuum Shift after being stabbed by Hazama, yet the 11th unit housed Nu-13's soul and at the time of death, both she and Ragna saw/observed/identified her as "Nu-13". If that was the case, then shouldn't the Life Link already been re-established and Lambda-11 would not have died? Or does having the actual soul not matter unless the body is present?
  13. Weird. Hazama explicitly stated (in the localized version at least) using past tense that "Ragna and the 13th unit had a life link" when explaining his own with Noel, which would indicate that it was broken when Nu-13 fell into the Cauldron by herself. I was also under the impression that Ragna countering Mu-12's tempering also nullified it. Turns out I was wrong.
  14. Oh I know the reasons why they'd censor it. It's just that I am sick of people being offended by something and forcing it to be changed when they ultimately don't explore the content beyond the cover. "Oh my gosh! That woman on the far right has exposed thighs! And I believe I see a buttcrack in there too! OMG there's a child! Ban this suggestive filth!". Yet, they'll let stuff like this and this go without much of a fuss. But we're not here to discuss suggestive art in BB and games (we'd be here all day), so I'll end it with this: if they must censor it, let it be in minor, subtle ways that don't ultimately change the entire image. I happen to like little bits of art like this. Is it suggestive? Sure. Doesn't mean I can't be mature about it and not act like the image itself wrecked my family and I'm out for revenge.
  15. Man I could care less about the Rachel nedroid and Moveset Poster. Special features blu-ray is meh, but nice to have I guess. It's the artbook that I am a sucker for. And the Waifu Trinity box but I fear they might just censor that one because exposure of a female character's skin makes some people feel funny.
  16. I thought Adler and Elektrosoldat were referred to as Nazis though. Plus yeah, while the nickname "Jewpuncher" is pretty stupid, it has a sort of "so-dumb-it's-funny" feel to it. Especially for the sequel when they call it "Jewpuncher: Fruity Pebbles Edition".
  17. I'd say that the larger box is possible since we got a good amount of stuff in it. -Game. -Soundtrack CD. -Artbook. -Special features blu-ray. -Moveset poster. That's a pretty hefty haul so they definitely need a bigger box. Question is if they'll actually include the Waifu Trinity because, well, censor alarms.
  18. Oh don't get me wrong. I understand that lag is a shit-sucking terrible experience (especially when you hit one where it slows down to 2 frames per second). It's just that, segregation for online strikes me as a backwards step for a community that really should relish in the fact they get to fight people from all over the globe. I love how I can fight someone from Japan only for my next opponent to be someone in say France, Mexico or the States. I just sort of understand that no matter how good your connection is (wireless user here since wired isn't an option ATM) that there will always be some instance where lag happens and there really is no surefire way to get rid of it outside of simply not playing online and sticking to offline scenes/tourneys.
  19. So, could it be because they're entering lobbies not specified to their region? Someone was complaining about this on another forum where they were asking people to only play within their region in order to not screw (read: cause lag) with other people's matches. Of course, I am not particularly fond of that kind of segregation either. If you're just going to force people to play within their own region on a worldwide network, then why even have an online mode in the first place?
  20. Fat chance of that happening. Millia and Venom are present, and Eddie will be damned if he lets those two develop a stronger rivalry without him. Basically, if those two are already confirmed, then it is a safe bet Eddie is planned somewhere down the line (not to mention we saw him in Trailer #1). Same with Johnny because May.
  21. Permission to sig good sir/madam? And yeah, I'd have thought that the Lobby was designed to prevent line-ups rather than enforcing them. Like if you can't be arsed to wait because nobody is letting others know they are playing a "set" so you go to one of the other, empty cabs and play someone else. Or is there just way too many people in a Lobby and people end up having to wait anyway? 'Cause if that's true, I can't imagine how it'll look like in March when more new blood shows up.
  22. Question is: who gets to make that initial roster? GG is no slouch on its roster size which sits at 25 (23 in case you don't want to count Justice and Kliff) and we're only up to, what, 11 characters as of loketest #2? Even with 16 characters in tow, I wouldn't be surprised if people were disappointed that their personal pick was among the ones that didn't make the initial cut. True they can add more of them later down the line, but in the meantime, they're stuck having to play Character X when they wanted Character Y.
  23. So she's a Tamagotchi then? Pity I won't be able to get my hands on one until March. But bother that nonsense, my hype persists anyway. Just a few more hours until the flood of Kokonoe players show up .
  24. This reminds you of this ? I'm sorry, I just don't see it. I'd have at least gone with Mitsunari.
  25. Stands for "Away From Keyboard", meaning that the player is still logged into their account but are not actually playing or are not present while the game is running.
