The bolded part is likely why Okusan feels Lizzie does low damage. Bufu consuming the 2C buff during the strings greatly reduces her overall damage. She can still deal respectable damage via SB Ghastly Wail (since that one can be charged) but you're blowing more SP for that (needing a minimum of 125 with the OMC and 75 for SB Ghastly Wail). But maybe I am utterly wrong. Game will be getting a training mode in a few days, so perhaps someone will come up with a way to make her viable. Though, with all those recent videos, it seems like she has an even harder time now even with her better tools. This does not bode well. Oh OK. Thanks for clarifying.

I always thought you could only OMB a move if both the character and their Persona are nearby during the attack. It's why Lizzie can for instance OMB her Magarudynes but can't do the same for something like Mabufudyne or Maragidyne. Are you sure? I recall never losing the 2C buff even after hitting my opponent with a random-ass 5C and then finishing them off with raw, 2C buffed Ghastly Wail. But if you'd like a list: -All version of Ghastly Wail consume it. -All versions of Mabufudyne consume it. -5C and maybe JC consume it.

Blazen! ~ BB:AM Abridged - Episode 04 (RELEASED)
Luminos564 replied to Shadow Draygon's topic in Zepp Museum
Excellent job Draygon. Everyone now sounds like they're on the same volume intensity so it made it a lot easier to hear Taokaka's lines and Noel was not spiking when calling Jin after his stone COLD thrashing. Using the Persona social link music for Tao and Ragna was a nice touch. I was halfway expecting to hear "RANK-UP!" near the end of that scene. To be honest though, it seems a lot of people also forget that when both YGOA and DBZA started, they weren't exactly amazing (YGOA only got a pass because it was the only abridged game in town). They too had issues like the actors just starting out, humor wasn't as rapidfire or downright clever and just the overall quality wasn't anywhere near what it is now. As they got more into it, they got much better at it. It'll likely be the same here and I very much look forward to what is in store. -
Blazen! ~ BB:AM Abridged - Episode 04 (RELEASED)

Honestly, other than the audio of you mentioned, there isn't much that needs to be said. I mentioned it earlier, but you really don't need to show everything. Like say for instance, the Noel and Jin introduction went on just a tad too long with Noel being stuck behind the door, and though it may be just my imagination on this, but the dialogue felt a little "slow" (maybe it's just how the actors spoke), even though the payoff of that scene was genius. Following that, you also could have trimmed or even maybe sped up Ragna blowing up the NOL branch right after. That's really all I can add to it. Good luck Draygon. I can't wait to see what you'll do in the next episode. -
Blazen! ~ BB:AM Abridged - Episode 04 (RELEASED)
Luminos564 replied to Shadow Draygon's topic in Zepp Museum
Basically yeah, this would be the one place you'd sort of expect battle music. Particularly since you were playing it semi-straight (read: serious) and have the characters act, for the most part, as themselves. This too. Actually, do you know what Room Tone is Draygon? Basically, it is 30 or so seconds of recording in a room without (much of) any sound. It may sound weird when I explain it, but in general it helps to eliminate the "empty" feeling you get between each line. Looking at it after a 4th time, it becomes really noticeable when you have long pauses between each line the character say. Try it out. It can definitely help and it doesn't require you to use music that might get you a copyright strike. You don't absolutely need to have music everywhere, but you would need background noise (like people chatter for instance) though not so strong as to overpower the actor and foley sounds (things like footstomps, landings, metal clashing etc). As a final observation, you could try to see where you can trim your running time. For instance, you didn't need to show Noel getting down the stairs of that ship in its entirety. You could have shortened it because in an abridged episode, you don't need to show everything to the audience and they can fill in the blanks themselves since they do not ultimately care about everything making sense. That's all I can think of for now. -

Huh, Jin has a noodle neck. Who knew XD? Personally I liked it. You're clearly having the most fun with Hazama there Shadow Draygon. Though, maybe it was just me, but it felt like Daggertail100 wasn't as comfortable with Ragna's lines as he was with Jin's. The lack of background sound is also something that I found to be a bit of a weakness. A good professor of mine once taught me that while the audience can look past bad animation and editing, they cannot do the same for sound quality. For instance, the part with Ragna in the elevator works wonders because of the music playing, but makes a lot of the other scenes without some music in it really come across flatter than they actually are. However, I also understand that adding music to the video would also have at least doubled your workload so don't think I am criticizing simply to find fault. As said, the material is good and you're clearly having a blast here so I'd love to see what you got in store for the next episode. -
Chrono Phantasma Story Discussion [fun tentatively allowed again]

Pretty much this yeah. Blazblue's timeline is pretty damn outta whack. And unfortunately for Ragna, his Azure Grimoire remembers every wound he received, even if time is reset. Actually, has there been an explanation as to why it does this? I don't see Hazama/Terumi suffering the same thing despite having his entire ghost body made up of the stuff. -
That Yukari Death Combo . How does that even work? Oh, hooray. Perhaps the special announcement is the console version details? I mean, I know the game just got released on arcades but lately I've been getting surprises like Drakengard 3 being announced for localization despite the title not even being out yet in Japan and Tales of Zestiria already having a "worldwide release" despite it not even being complete yet. So maybe I'll be surprised a 3rd time?

Tekken Revolution, Free to Play game exclussive for PS3
Luminos564 replied to Hecatom's topic in Misc Fighter Central
Whenever you want gamers (usually men) to remember your game, always present them with a pair of boobs. For an even more effective method, give the players the ability to control (in some way) how big they can get. That'll really get them to come a'running. But blood bank boob expansions aside, I actually kinda like this character. She's downright silly (with matching accent to boot) and yet, very entertaining to watch. I haven't dealt with Tekken anything since the days of Tekken 3 on the Playstation 1, but am somewhat tempted to get the game for Eliza. I say tempted, because I am years behind on what went on with Tekken since the 3rd one. -
Sweet merciful Philemon, FINALLY! I eagerly await the influx of combo videos that are going to be spawned from this . On a related note, anyone got the translations? The only things I can make out is that (as Tokkan pointed out) Training Mode is added, Lizzie's Randomizer bug is being fixed and....2P can join in Score Attack? Does this mean we get the 2nd controller trick?
-
Fundoshi my good sir. It is the underwear reserved for only the manliest of Japanese men.
-
Well he is taking you to the "Existential Kids Korner". That said, I'm surprised they didn't put in S.Labrys poses in there. I mean, we had Shadow Aigis doing a laugh that would make Iori Yagami proud, so why not her older, mechanical sibling?
-
Has there been anyone able to pull off (D)Ghastly Wail at all in a combo yet? I keep looking at the minimum damage at both © and (SB) versions and can't help but think that if you could use the (D) version, her damage might go up a bit more considering its minimum damage output is 2000 which is pretty huge in P4U2 for a 50SP skill. If someone could find a way to use it consistently with its long start-up, it might make Lizzie a more frightening damage dealer. Especially, since you cannot really rely on the 1-Handed Sword Master (2C) buff because it is used up by more moves now and not just Ghastly Wail.
-
Is it weird that I like Shadow Yukari, Akihiko and Teddie's the most out of the bunch? I would also have included Shadow Mitsuru's throne pose in there, but it seems they forgot to bend her coat as she sits down so it looks as straight as when she is standing up. That said, I have a feeling Shadow Akihiko's win pose is going to reach some Terumi vs. Ragna levels of corpse beating.

Chrono Phantasma Speculations/Theories [rules updated 10/14]
Luminos564 replied to Chaoschao222's topic in Zepp Museum
I would have said Kagura but then again, he's got his own list of charges: -Sexual harassment, bordering on offender. -Performed a coup in order to overthrow the previous Imperator. -Vehicular manslaughter (as Unlimited). Really from the way their society works, it seems like everyone abides by "Might makes right". Of course, even if Homura wanted to make a different society, most of his NOL soldiers have been turned into seithr by Izanami. So we're gonna have to see where this goes. -
Huh, so I wasn't too far off the mark there: Blue Power Charge means she's in permanent Lv.3 (as in Power Charge is stacked 3 times). That translates into the 9K damaging Dragon Kicks and insta-kill Godhands. In other words, she's same as before except I'll bet my ass that the Lunge Punch is also affected by Power Charge, meaning another move to watch out for. And yeah, she could always do her Furious Action in the air, even as normal Chie. Oh joy, as if she wasn't scary enough in vanilla P4A. The others you mentioned seem mostly par for the course. Newer system features are simply added to the older P4A Score Attackers.
-
What Houdini said. Doubly so if they unlock some gallery mode content or navigators upon completion. Seriously though, ASW can be quite sadistic to when it comes to downright anti-helpful to players. I said that P4A's Score Attack would not have been nearly as hard if we were allowed to continue using the 2nd player trick we've had in Blazblue. It would still be a challenge to beat certain characters, but the impact is lessened. I mean, come on: "Beat Score Attack with EVERY character"? Not to be a spoil-sport ASW, but what makes you think I care enough about Yukiko, Teddie or Yosuke to learn how they work, practice and then go through an extremely frustrating mode with them?

Chrono Phantasma Speculations/Theories [rules updated 10/14]
Luminos564 replied to Chaoschao222's topic in Zepp Museum
Funny. Because that's EXACTLY what she's been doing in every single loop prior to this one and even now wants to become fused with Ragna to form the next Black Beast. Though, that also gave me the idea. If Hazama/Terumi are both kaput for now, perhaps Noel no longer has a Life Link with Hazama. So what might happen if she tries to forge one with Ragna? Matter of fact, what could happen if both Ragna and her fuse? We already saw that Ragna+Nu13=Black Beast and Hazama merging with Mu-12 would have yielded the same result. But Noel/Mu-12 is the current true Azure successor. So what might happen if Ragna (who has a fake Azure) merges with the genuine version? My guess: it is a much more stable, powerful and different Black Beast. -
Oh son of a...that's just plain dirty. Now I am convinced ASW and ATLUS just want to see how much until we bleed frustration. Remember that Pause Trick I mentioned? Well guess what this guy just made obsolete and worthless. Let's see, I'll call: -Rapid fire, fully charged (3) arrows per shot. -Always home in on you without the assist from the Persona. -Full-screen Magarula. -Tosses out more parachute bombs than normal. -Furious Action Covers the full screen.
-
That's one way to look at it. Another is that ASW and/or ATLUS suck at finding ways to challenge the player but also make it fun. I get what they were going for (absurdly high stakes and difficulty akin to the MegaTen games) but those were RPGs and not fighters. In those you could plan ahead and spend time grinding at another location to best the next challenge. But there's no planning to be involved in Score Attack since the AI is pretty random, despite having certain obvious tactics. I tell you, P4A Score Attack would in no way be so difficult if we had ways to actually continue from where we left off. Highest I ever got to was Yu and it sucks seeing my Lizzie burn down simply because I couldn't react on one move. Sure, people later recommended the pause trick to make it a bit easier but that doesn't do much of anything. Hopefully P4U2's Score Attack routes are a bit easier on the fingers and controllers. I can? Sweet.

Half-sister (different mother, same father IIRC), yeah I'd say that counts. -
Neat. If I had a Nico Nico account, I'd be able to view them. But yeah, nice find. Thank you.
-
I can understand that. Really, I only suggested it since I'd like the roster to expand a bit more. And while true that putting Sho and SHO in the same slot, doesn't guarantee an extra character it at least would make it seem like there's some room left on the roster. The current one looks like it is full, without much of a chance to add anyone else. Now don't misunderstand me please. I LIKE the current roster and think both ASW and ATLUS are doing a bang-up job (certain character balance notwithstanding). The above is just a personal musing of mine since, like many others, I have a preference for certain characters over others.

^^ And my reading comprehension fails. I took it as "Jubei found the 3 in Relius' lab" rather than "Jubei found them in a lab while searching for Relius and his workshop". Oh well, thanks for clarifying. -

So...Relius has something to do with the 3 siblings being within that lab from which Jubei rescued them. That makes for a good amount of sense. Though I question why he doesn't seem to react to Ragna much at all considering this would make Ragna one of his "experiments". Relius was certainly intrigued when he learned that Noel (Murakumo unit no.12) was the true successor to the Azure and with Jin, he constantly remarks on wanting to see the capabilities of the Power of Order. Ragna though? No real reaction beyond "Oh...it's the Azure".
