  3. Her ioh stuff isn't even "mixup". I don't know how or why people call it mixup when it's almost humanely impossible to react to what she's going to do. it's a 50 into a 50 into a 50 if she has the resources. I can't call a straight guessing game mixup. For a second or two the game turns into a 1 Player game with many characters not having a tool to get her off of them besides maybe barrier IB. GIVEN the off chance you even blocked correctly. It's just bullshit. Not "mixup". Why any character would even have the option to do something like that is beyond me. The actual mixup based characters in the game don't even have an option to pressure like that. So why does she when shes predominately zoning/spacing control Like Skye said even without it she would still be a solid character. She would still have strong oki in the corner and multiple mixup attempts while the opponent is blocking George. Superior space control and zoning, especially with bat usage. Pumpkin has always been dumb. Etc. Just because a character would lack a reliable standing overhead (or a means to overhead) means nothing if they excel in other areas.

  10. Yea, think I might just wait for NA release for this one. I'd rather get Adachi (who I don't care for) and Marie free and the game at a cheaper $60 price. Have under night to hold me off until then anyway 13 gbs is huge too. Well, compared to CP and under night anyway. Which were 8.3ish and 2 gbs respectively
  11. When I read this I thought of Bullet and her new changes. Bullet as she is now is pretty straight forward and it just seemed like "you play this character like this and this is the best way". With ending in nothing but xD > Safejump over and over again. She almost had no other way to end her combos. For me, playing her got stale fast But her new changes look interesting and she has more options over how she wants to work her combos. Then I think what Kato says over again and think of Kagura. A character they've stripped oki options and combo routes from. Forcing your options to be more and more limited with him and solidifying an almost single "way to play him". And the shits not fun
  12. If character individuality has been lost then whats taken it's place The staleness that Luminos mentioned? Do players think too many of the characters feel similar? Or that their character has lost their "niche" throughout the iterations

  17. Pfffft You all do realize normal OD has 1+15 startup right. And most reversal attempts won't hit until the 7 or 8th frame. That's a 23-24 frame gap that will most likely result in your normal/special whiffing and then you being able to just block afterwards. The entire screen freezes so of course the opposing player wouldn't be inclined to actually press something. Why else would you OD Cancel but to try to reversal attempt/get away. Only characters I can actually see it being bullshit with is Arakune Bang Litchi, if she can control staff while in blockstun. Don't remember if she can or not Mu Tager maybe It would help an almost dead Celica a lot, since she'll start recovering health instead of dying to the next hit/confirm. Its a dumbass addition but I don't think it'll be that bad

  20. I've actually ran into Akatsuki more than any other character. I might give him a try sometime, really like his character design
  21. Imo this characters saving grace is j.236B. In neutral and in corner oki. In matchups where either 1. j.236B doesn't particularly disrupt the opponents neutral and 2. Where you cant even get it off in the first place (matchups like Hilda, Vatista, Merkava) she feels really lacking. Shes pretty strong in the corner because he oki is unavoidable. But the problem is getting them there in the first place. I know its early but the Merkava matchup feels borderline impossible for her to get started and the same is similar for Hilda. Akatsuki falls under 1. where he doesn't really care about j.236B because his projectiles are faster in startup and recovery and go over it. For the characters that DO have their neutral disrupted by j.236B, it's just annoying as hell. But there are some matchups were j.236B works well until the opponent has resoruces. Eltnum is an example. Because she can fire 236C on reaction full screen to punish any j.236A/B attempt and go into 2.7k and knockdown. And the threat is there every single time she has 100+ EXS. Her mixup is whatever. Her reverse beats don't look too great and have huge gaps. Her normals are also not long range enough to pressure safely at certain distances. And her frametraps are either risky as hell or you have to reaaallly call out a button press. She cant do her overhead on reaction to Shielding and has to go for throw setups usually which can be called out and you lose so much momentum if they happen to tech it. When I'm fighting one and blocking in neutral the only thing I'm worrying about is the grab attempt. Everything else isn't really a problem. Well I guess it helps that I'm actually familiar with the character but still Shes fun but she has sooo many problems that don't seem like they have a solid work around.

There are times I fight someone for the first time and I get them blocking and 2-3 normals later they're counterhit because they just couldn't help themselves. I know the games new and people aren't familiar with the characters but damn
  23. Sooo. Everyone's just going to mash 2B/C during pressure expecting reverse beats no matter how many times they're frametrapped for it huh. Fucking wow. 3C in Gordeau case. Have no idea whats wrong with people.
  24. For people wondering (not sure if anyone really is) I'm pretty sure you can save 100 replays at a time like CP. To save replays just press start after a match and choose cancel for the first prompt and ok for the second. This is Ranked Match. In Player Match just choose ok and it'll save the replay. The first option for Ranked is asking if you want to upload the replay I'm pretty sure
  25. Not every attack is AUB. I went over her AUB's couple days ago Jumping is risky but it doesn't stop people from doing it. Also her neutral is.. so-so. I have no idea why the just gave her an air version for her projectile. And her normals leave a lot to be desired. j.236B also goes under a lot of other projectiles. Which sounds good but then you think oh the opponent projectile is still coming. Since j.236B doesn't collide with and cancel it out. I actually find the Akatsuki matchup overly hard specifically for this reason. And j.236A isn't reliable enough to cancel out the projectiles either. Start up is way too slow for that. I actually wanna check if 5B cancels out projectiles now.. Spoiler: It doesn't It would help if 236C was projectile invul but its not
