  1. Holy shit delay tech/quick rise are the waves of the future, Well, if Blockstun killed my parents, brother, and sister I guess I'd be doing it too.
  2. Arc localized EX's extra content and CP internally (and they did a poor job from what I heard), not Aksys.
  3. Her salt levels are nowhere near as high leveled as my own.
  4. Oh yea that is true, forgot about Arcana. I dunno but for some reason I can't imagine this game dubbed, it just feels extremely weird to think about it But wow seriously 3 more weeks (actually even less than that, 19 days). Been waiting for this game for like 4 years and I'll finally get to play it, its crazy
  5. It's really good it's coming over but I'm still buying JP digital. Maybe if the game was coming out in August or September I'd wait. But there's no contest between a 3 week wait to a 5-6+ month wait. I wonder if they're going to dub the game or just do subtitles. With it taking that long though, I'd imagine a dub is in the works.
  6. Yea, Im VSM_Jailhouse, ya got me. I guess the Mu bubble in my sig gave me away
  7. Yea you show him. The title of hyaku pacento scrub Mu belong to you and you alone BGs to mastfam though. Every Tager can't resist being a fraud when the chips are down
  8. I thought i heard Millia was so-so in this version because her oki wasn't as safe anymore.
  9. 1 and done lag OS too strong
  10. Well it looks like the conversation went from Wald specifically to grapplers in general. I do agree with the points you made. Like I've said before, Wald's cool. Tager on the other hand is constructed terribly. But whats really to blame are the chimpanzees Arc hired to make and balance their characters.
  11. Ive deleted the game off my harddrive like 3 times now. Your not alone
  12. He never said they shouldnt be in the games, just that they're hard to balance. I guess what your talking about is the matchup as a whole and Skye was just mentioning how it is when a grappler is actually pressuring you. I never said panicking was playing the keep away game. I shouldve been specific but I mainly meant panicking as in mashing, backdashing frantically, upbacking, guessing, etc. when a grappler is pressuring you. It's common. But usually blatant actions like that show the lack of matchup exp. And it's also common that people don't truly take the time out to learn the grappler matchups other than "keep them out". Once they've failed at that and are under pressure they go apeshit because constant RPS into RPS isn't something they want to go through. And they've never take the time out to learn how to combat the grapplers options because all they can visualize in they're mind is butter churning once they get caught blocking. I think actually "enjoying" fighting a grappler has to do with the character you play as. While yes i agree with just because you don't like a matchup doesn't mean its stupid/unfair/random. I find neutral against grapplers fun because it's all about the spacing game, which I love. But I DONT enjoy being caught in a vortex. I mean I dont with any character but with them it's a lot more evident because like I mentioned before they have an element I cant react to. In the end it's not like a disagree with you. Like I mentioned I think you just misinterpreted Skyes message as him just saying "grapplers are dumb." We should probably start talking under night again though before the cops come
  13. How did you even figure that from his post though. It's his opinion but it just looks like you took it the wrong way. What he stated is what usually happens. People tend to act the fuck up against grapplers/characters with strong command grabs because it's something you cant particularly react to. And they sure as hell aren't going to sit there and wait for the inevitable to happen. So they panic and try to get away. Grapplers are usually just a special case matchup wise. It's nothing new. Like he said, unless you know the player and their tendencies then its RPS. And who the hell likes that
  14. I'm somewhat scared of Wald. Like how I was scared of Pot in AC. I played Ky, who had the damage output of a baby kitten. Wald is very capable of rushing shit down and it's so odd to watch a grappler do that. And I don't think I like it at all. But he's still a cool character
  15. The hell. There are some situations where no matter how good a player can be there is no clear cut answer because the situation makes 0 sense. Like an Arakune mashing 5AAAAA and CHing you when his minus or your at plus. But I think that's mostly netplay. Anyway I'm sure you know all about that. I'm not surprised thats how you view things given how you happen to play
  16. Wow. Daiji was going ham 80% of the time. His plays definitely weren't safe. He would end his strings with unsafe normals but would keep trying to keep the pressure on. And when something traded you'd see him press 5PPPPPPP hoping he'll win the trade. He'd have 5/2KPP overhead blocked and would be CH because he's still pressing buttons not caring if it hit or not. He'd have 214P IB'd multiple times but nope, I'm at the advantage 5PPPPPPP > 214P. As far as he was concerned it was always his turn. I honestly think Yuuryou Slayer started trolling him around part 4. That's not to say Batako never does this either. He does some questionable stuff too. But you don't see it every 2 secs with him, unlike Daiji where it seems like he's never giving the buttons on the cabinet a rest. I don't see how that play was amazing to watch in any way. But opinions I guess
  17. I dunno man. Mostly just saw 5PPPPP from him But on a more serious note Batako has a better understanding of corner pressure and combo theory than Daiji from what I've seen.
  18. That's what I figured. I just wouldn't be surprised if Assault did indeed have landing recovery. But alright that's all I needed to clarify
  19. Since when did normal jumps have landing recovery
  20. Thanks for that. The last thing I've been wondering is if Assault has landing recovery frames. I wouldn't be surprised if it did but does anyone know for sure
  21. Alright thanks. Hopefully the data's the same. Brushing up on all the info I can before next month Shielding has been somewhat confusing me lately. I may be wrong but from what I've seen, read, has been told to me I guess when your in neutral you can hold the shield like barrier. Blocking the first hit of something in this instance doesn't cost 10 exs and you shave off 3 frames of blockstun among other benefits. But Guard Shield is when your shield during blockstun and you press D right before another move connects. Sort of like IBing. But this time it costs 10 exs each time, pushes the opponent back if your successful, and has all the benefits of normal Shielding. But you lose 1 GRD if you fail to time it correctly. Xiei was mentioning back in September how it's hard to time Shielding because of the free form gatling system and I was confused as to what he meant. But now I see he probably meant Guard Shielding. Not sure if I'm correct though.
  22. Does anyone know the jump startup frames in this game
  23. Right, what mAc said. It can be as simple as I want to throw more often. Because honestly I do myself. So, I've told myself once I get someone blocking eventually go for throw very often. Despite it being teched or being punished for the attempt. It's just something I'd like to have in my game. In wont really change my neutral in any way, its more on the pressure end so my gameplan won't be too much different. And I'll do this for x amount of days and matches until I tone it down a bit and it's just part of my pressure now. It's how I usually go about things Replays can be good for learning situations as well. Like how to punish or avoid Jins j.C for example during neutral because you saw yourself being CH by it 3 times in one round. Thats when you hit training mode, etc etc you learnt something new. Replay option/more space has to be my favorite new netplay features because it saves ALL my replays. To when the matches are hype or I bait 4 DPs to when Im getting my shit pushed in. If I had a choice to save a replay I would just mostly save the ones I won by a landslide or I got bodied free in. Never the inbetweens, which is what I did pretty much all of EX. I think people disregard it usually which stunts their growth and ability to recognize certain situations. Which is kind of sad.
  24. The loading from the game saving replays is barely anything noticable. Ive never seen people complain about it but a small handful on here. Even if they did complain constantly, i wouldnt give a damn. But yea. When you watch yourself you'll notice alot more than when your in the heat of the moment
