The hop itself may have a hitbox and will help launch the opponent airborne for said air combos. Or she might be able to do it in the air too. Maybe -

The move that Nanase does at :18 seconds seems to be her Force Function. Sourenga mentioned her FF is a high jump. The swirl attack may be a follow up. Or just one of her air normals I love the wind and feather effects near her feet when she dashes, jumps, and assaults -

The screenshots are making me wonder if Tsukiyomi's actually Byakuya's blades now. Both aren't present at the same time. The new stages look so good and Nanase's pallete #6 is great too. Just 5 more weeks. I hope in the next 2 weeks we get gameplay trailers for the two though. Really interested in both characters. -

UNIEL sub forum sounds good. There's a good amount of discussion going on in the forum on a regular basis usually. And when I think of the games console release I just think of a ton of users posting in that forums asking for matches, saying ggs, asking how to do x with certain character, etc. It would be a cluttered mess. The game itself having sub forums would help reduce that greatly. And information would be easier to compile -

Pretty sure he just means canceling your dash into shield for safety. Ive been wondering about that too. Same can be done in GG and BB with barrier -
Mid pressure there's no way to switch modes in a safe way while in trans am. Bits only place the opponent in 13 frames of blockstun when they make contact and 5/2D are 24 frames total. Bits can't cover it up. You can do it if you want. But keep in mind shes really minus if you do do it. And if they upback or press buttons then you pretty much just lost that opportunity. Haven't experimented with NM Trans AM stuff much but they make stance cancels strings a lot stronger. Turns them into like +3ish I think. 2A doesn't stop upback but it CH's Noels 5A.

The matchup should be even-ish. It's somewhat hard to say whose in favor. It's much easier for a bad tsubaki to beat a bad izayoi than it is for the izayoi to beat the tsubaki. But if both players know what they're doing it can go either way It shouldn't be even anymore in 1.1 though.

What I meant in the final part is that when the average person is playing a higher tier character they tend to stick on what makes the character high tier in the first place and don't explore much else about them. You mentioned losing to mediocre Chie's at tourneys. In U1 the main thing about Chie was her D vortex. You learned how to enter it, the several choices your given while the opponent is blocking it, and the most optimal confirm if you happened to open them up and how to transition back into it the vortex. Many people aren't willing to explore the character outside of their very strong options. They stick on doing what makes x character so strong. You said it yourself, you grinded training mode and casuals to bring out the most of Liz's potential because she had such a hard time. You wanted to become better and win despite the tiers and matchups. Higher tier characters may have more options but why should a player seek options D, E, F when A, B, C are already so strong. Lower tier characters will usually have less options but the player will be more determined to find more and bring out the potential in themselves and in their character. It's how I see it all anyway. -

I see fighting games as something to improve at and have fun. Winning is secondary. But I guess there are also alot of people whose primary objective is to win. Because for them winning = having fun. Which isn't wrong, different strokes i guess But unfortunately for me it seems many if not all the characters I end up liking in fighters are on the lower end of the tiers, so I have to work a lot harder in many cases (Highest tier character I ever played was Mitsuru, but even then I dropped her for Labrys). But imo a person with a lower tier character has more room to improve than a player than someone who always chooses the higher tiers. -
Shes still the poor boys Valkenhayn. Her pressure still isn't as bullshit/unseeable/unreactable/unmashable///// as his But, she's a lot better

From what I've seen. Chaos is mostly footsie based. Ahzi reminds me of Thanatos, but not as good/scary. Once Thanatos gets you blocking usually it becomes a guessing game. With Azhi you can essentially downback and shield. Gaining GRD in the process. It doesn't have any grab/overhead options so it relies on you being impatient and trying to get out. Chaos himself doesn't really have much mixup either. His normals aren't the best and he cant get the opponent off of him meterless. I think I remember reading his dodge isn't invul on frame 1. But he still seems fun. His oki is looks solid and pressure actually gets scary in the corner due to his ability to reverse beat Azhi's specials. -

Sourenga has had all the palettes up on the wiki though. I guess this may have been his source On the topic of palettes these are seriously some of the best I've seen in a fighter for a long time. And i dig how each one has a cool name to it, -

Cool, new stages. Seems like the plate/icon/title customization is there. Has auto color select too. For some reason i thought the game wouldn't have a replay feature. Glad it's in. Hope auto replay saving is a feature in it like with CP. It says player rooms will have a max of 8 people and the others can watch the match while they're waiting their turn. -

Specialty: Counter Nullifying "Vatista nullifies the properties opponent would gain from a counter hit. Meaning the opponent's combos will be shorter since they don't get long hitstun, and that the opponent can't pick Vatista up from a downed state." She doesn't go through the added hitstun counter hits grant. -

Yea the game has a lot of little intricacies about it I wasn't aware of before, like the CH negation Vatista has. Or the fact Wald could destroy projectiles with his claw normals/specials, which is really cool. I can't wait to see how Nanase plays. -
She can already go into Trans Am with safe oki in 1.0 that will bait dp's and hits meaty enough to stop upback. And if you got a confirm you can go into another safe oki route + 50/50 mixup into a safe jump. And with Trans Am lasting twice as long it's gotten even more powerful

Wald looks like a really solid character. One of the few grapplers done the right way. Or rather Tager is one done the wrong way..
