  1. Hmmm... Well GGs. I hope it pays off.
  2. I'm sorry I bailed on you errol. I figured I was better off just forgetting about playing and try to get my hands to work with training mode by myself and away from everyone for a bit. Akira shiro not letting me learn anything by changing characters constantly...is this a Road test or is he actually trying ot hold me down or does he even realize that isn't help[ing me at all
  3. Would anyone like to play me?
  4. How about: 100% meter cancel - next attack unblockable. ANIME - Our games are silly ON PURPOSE.
  5. If you remember, that was the plan around last year, actually. If I have to go back and do that again, I guess that's the plan again. Everyone is very good at autopiloting a lot of pressure and offense, so it means I really have no answers to what they do other than never allow them to make me block to being with. At least for a while.
  6. This thread is kind of going in circles, (I'm really surprised it's not locked by now) but I'd like to ask what you guys think you could DO to help some of the problems listed. We're shifting blame to others with this "people are sheep" shit. I think before we do that we should take on ourselves. I hate to say this, because it's obviously going to be received badly, but Triforce is right: FGC doesn't have the worth, the attitude, or the class to sustain itself unless it cleans itself up with E-sports and regional leagues at the organization level. Outside of his very strange conspiratorial accusations, he's right in that, one way or another, FGC can be made money off of, and the real question in front of us is "who do we want to be making that money?". What *I've* been saying is that there's a choice in front of every member in this community: You can treat the community and competition as a subculture, say it's about having fun, not giving a fuck, etc...or you can treat it as an E-Sport, which is competitive, legitimate, and organized and structured. In the first case - you don't deserve money. You don't deserve fame, You don't deserve anything but poverty. ChrisG, current top players need to disappear, because they will never get what they ask for, and we should stop paying attention to them. As well, the community will remain uncompetitive, with no real organized apparatus to improve players, instated of hoping good players to somehow descend from Asgard. In the second case - You can look at this community as a prospective E-Sport. It's competitive, but not organized, and players that want to make money need to improve their attitudes and behavior in order to secure sponsorships and conduct themselves sportsman-like so the game and scene is seen as legitimate. It's bigger than them. If the community organizes it can improve the competitive structure and actually start building a real apparatus to improve players and build anyone willing to sign up and commit into recognizable competitors. In BOTH cases, a lot of people need to improve how they represent themselves and the scene and the game. (In either case, the ChrisGs out there need to go - if we REALLY wanted, we can manufacture top players). We won't have any self-respect if we let any players, let alone top players, to be actively mocking the competitions or games. We won't be able to create any good prizes, put any butts in seats, or even take on the largest problem in our community - POVERTY, which lends itself to all the other problems involved in getting people offline (America is big, Japan and Korea are small) and managing even a regional competitive community. So, wrapping this up - My only answers are as I posted before. Everyone at least have to have a serious pro-mode when called upon.
  7. On approach or completely on D? Argument...ah fuck it, it's not worth discussing anymore. I'll just have to smart-mash 412 so I always hit 2 on last frame of blockstun, if I can't I'm just not able to play the character.
  8. GGs nobody. Blocking and punishing new BB players ZZZZzzzzzz.
  9. Grandpa Option Select? I might hop on soon.
  10. So we're arguing on twitter and I don't know how to Guard cancel properly. So tell me, since it's been like 2 or 3 years and I can't figure it out and I need to know to play now. I read the frame daters.
  11. Took me 9 hours. Lich - you still on? is ANYONE still on?
  12. The invincibility on Ouren can be combined with fullscreen suzuran to get past a lot of full screen behavior from testament, Axl, and Dizzy. I want to try this out next week. I'm still not sure which hitbox is better for the corner sitaution that would shut down old YSJ - now we have YSJ and Zankuro (Zakuro?) to choose from, and it's not clear which hitbox is better or which move is a better option, since Zakuro is a guard cancel and you risk getting hit on the startup for 1 active frame. This is the worst situation because the opponent has the best chance of beatig or avoiding GCs in that spot, but Baiken gets such good corner carry that they really need ot do it right...hmmmm... Sakura lost its invincibility but I'd like to see that huge air hit. I wonder what kind of reward you can get. 85% proration - is this number still the higher the better? I keep forgetting if you lose 85% or the next hit is 85% FB tatami CH is godlike. 25 meter starter that will blow up more mid to full screen bad behavior Baiken normally couldn't hope to reach. DISRUPTAHHH
  13. oh my GOD I thought I was the only one that ever said this. She's a little blue flat tager.
  14. GGs Banned-Shiro and Hanzo. Sorry I only made it to 15. I don't feel calm or focused at all.
  15. oh my god I forgot how tight real carl stuff is OMMMGGGG
  16. I think I might play but there's some serious ESPORTS on right now. Maybe after ESPORTS? I'lll stream :D
  17. Coast to coast Baiken mirrors let's go. (next week) We're playing for The "Best and only West Coast Baiken" Title!
  18. Fighting games are not a good way to relieve stress or escape or relieve personal problems. A lot of yourself is thrown into a competitive game, and if you know yourself to be in bad shape for whatever reason I absolutely promise you it'll be magnified when you lose or fail to do something. Yes, you're overthinking it - try to focus your thinking on ways to respond and improve instead of the other stuff you are enduring. It doesn't matter if they choose Gold colors, pink colors, training stage, stylish mode, play on one button, or what. The game requires a mental foundation that's sound in order to improve solidly, or else you are really cutting down any potential you really have. Respect the game and respect yourself - otherwise you are not going to improve - that will be really hard if you are depressed or experience a lot of anxiety. Work on that first if you want a much MUCH easier time with learning anything. I don't have any answers for you without being a massive hypocrite, but it's definitely not easy, and it's a personal challenge, without a doubt. 90% of everyone do not know what they are talking about in the FGC. Find yourself a good environment to learn in and stay the hell away from anyone that's putting hurtful competitive expectations on you, including yourself. This is Episode 1 of Blue Beat Radio - I made it for people like you. We discuss Attitude at one point. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zs_X6PIOHoQ
  19. Time for flash cards and videos and training mode We are about to see if I have any skill - to make it through a version transition. Next week I'll be streaming a lot.
  20. Should be next week. Time to start making flashcards. I feel like I'm at a total disadvantage now...but I'm just gonna take the time and re-learn the game...
  21. It's Alphonse Elric? That's potemkin?
  22. It's time for ROBO=JAM. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c06xhpbRo6I arcsys please make this happen.
