Hah! I figured it out pretty quick. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-RA00hEozq4 It can just come right out, too.

Found the post, gonna try some things and play.

I'll go back and find it. If I recall it I think it TL;DRed into "combos, run up and grab, EX deicide" or something similar. I'll give it a more careful read, but I'll have ot put it to practice, somehow. I still can't get the jumpin starter to go fast enough.. Hmmm. Food for thought. Oh, I didn't know that, thanks. That'd be cool. Someone uploaded a series on Vice combos, I never got around to watching it while playing.

LK - when you make the CSE version of this, try putting starters up top, followed by confirms. When you name stuff (BnB 5b 5c 3c and such), try to make clear labels for it, as if it were a normal itself that we have to remember. If you have time, have someone record a single cut of you or someone doing each combo, then break them up and upload, and include link next to each. That should help, too, even though it's a little work.

[CS2-CSE] Litchi Faye Ling - Player Improvement & Video Critique Thread
Star-Demon replied to Star-Demon's topic in Archive
I played OniShirou last night, and I realized how much damage and defense I was giving up just by not having combos. I've been trying to training mode, but I realized that I just don't know the combos. I know a piece here and there, and it helps me mop up bad players because I've played litchi in neutral in CT a lot, but I actually could not write down any of litchis longer BnBs. How could I possibly practice the good combos when I don't even remember them? I've tried writing them down on index cards, and they are some place around here, but it was very quick and I lost them. The inputs don't mean anything when I look at them, even though I understand what they are. Maybe I'm just not focused? There has to be some way I can construct a sort of challenge mode for myself so I can learn the good combos. I'm really stuck on execution, and it sucks. I've been doing challenge 7 for 4 months whenever I touch CS2 and can hit training mode. I still don't have it. My self-confidence is eroding, and listening to myself on stream shows it. I don't wanna sound like that anymore. -
Thanks - I'm still getting used to normals on my characters (I think Mai and Mature seem to be my best in normals), and on Vice I just have a hard time understanding what to use when. I don't really know how I would learn the frame traps for my characters. on Mature's super, I would try to keep you cornered, but I'm not sure how. on Mai, I try to do as Litchi would, keep you cornered, but ryuuenbu has two versions, and I'm not sure which to use on which - maybe because they knock down and start up differently. I need a good mai and vice to learn from. Most good players that play them use them as anchors and I never see them. Everyone fucking plays Clark and Kula, instead, so they've been rolling the big tourneys. I was thinking of registering on Dream Cancel, but I'm not sure if I should.

You panic less after you experience enough shit. I'm a lot less spastic than when I started, but put me under pressure and it just crumbles apart and I'm tech-rolling back in the corner and trying to mash or trying to find other ways to get out and give up more damage. -

Stickbug took a round to get your feel and then decided you made too many little mistakes. He played a lot more solidly and then rolled you in the last two. I think you also sometimes forgot that you were playing against Litchi. It happens in mirror. Basically - Practice and play more. Catching up to veteran players is difficult, so don't feel bad. They already have lots of time on someone like me, I imagine it's the same with you. I sometimes need help and some drumming on the head to get things right. -
Any time I had to fight anyone at distance, I'd just ( 623HP * N )with Vice. I beat the entire tail end of arcade and story this way.
-
LK - You should make a map. I think some of us will need one. Litchicombos is now calculus - breaking 4k requires godlikeness and functions. Noel hits D, gets 6k.

I just heard EZ8. Someone promised me a EZ8 video where people were chanting the Great ones name. Still waiting for a good day to head over.

I'll start with this: I spent a lot of money this semester that I shouldn't have. I began with a Happauge! HD PVR which cost me $217. I've always loved shoutcasting, and while I haven't had much success elsewhere, I was really driven to do better in fighting games. So far, I've gotten positive responses, and I'm working hard to always do better. I managed to secure PS3, partially paying in so I can have it for X-mas, got this game, just to play CSE and CS2 while it lasts. The PS3 and CS2 cost me about 80 bucks after all deals were made. I needed more cabling, which I dumped about 40 more bucks into. Long story short: I'm invested. I like this game in many respects, and I think it deserves it. This game deserves more credit and more coverage and more respect, and I'm going to provide my share, and I want every community member that has an account on this board to do the same. I'm only one man, though. I'm also rather new and don't have a lot of cred yet, and I may never have enough. This is where you come in. We have a new game with a lot of value-added coming in 2 months. It deserves respect and hype. You should help. What I see us in is a rut, though. Going to arcades is difficult, setting up and running events is difficult, and let's be honest, the reputation BlazBlue has is not the best (already discussed elsewhere). We understand why it's happened and what's holding us back, and we should do something about it. In 2012, I'm ready to do this. Every match. Every tourney. Every stream. Will be well-represented by the community and SHOW others this game makes the cut and deserves respect and is very enjoyable and competitive - that this game is hype. It's going to take a good attitude, a lot of guts, and determination. I think I can manage it. This is what I'm going to strive for. I'm going to do this. I think you should, too. 2012. Get hype.

12 - While the 13 thing is floating around, I think at some point in that mess it was concluded that you follow the signs of your age. I am 28, so obviously Pluto is a planet and there are 12 signs in 4 elements. Quite an elegant system, when you take some time to study it. Considering the idea that 12 signs are divided in 4 elements, it makes 13 problematic. I really don't know how any astrological scholar is going to reconcile adding a 13th sign at the cost of the entire system. Besides that - if you shift the astrological signs, you end up with completely different traits. Geminis are not Cancers, that's for damn sure. As far as I'm concerned, the 13th sign is garbage because it undoes the system. Man, what a derail.
-
We are extremely competitive and engage in derision at the drop of a hat, for sure. I feel like I'm just not capable, sometimes. Like I'm too old or slow to do it. I should listen to my horoscope.
-
Don't get it.
-
This is infuriating. I can't do Itsuu from the left side because 41236 becomes 4236, which always gives me 6D. Either something is wrong with 1 or I need widerm harder, and faster left thumb. Good news is I got past 4K off the 5b->2c->6d->more in corner. Now I wanna do that off midscreen stuff.
-
Yeah I'm bad at this game. It fucking sucks, and I hate it. There.
-
I know there's some differences, but it's essentially the same strategy from my end. Saiki will usually approach more. If you see how I (try to) play Mai and Athena, it's like that. "Boobies->Throw fans."
-
I really dislike that Saiki and Ash are so similar that it's like having two of the same char on your team.
-
Cool CS2 and CS1 stuff should start being moved over to archives, we also need new CSE matchups. I would really love to see every matchup finished.

I think I'm getting better. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9S3c1RsQbGQ Match 1 - I need to learn to get out of the Nirvana+corner situation. I get all dumb when I'm cornered. Match 2 - about 5-6 matches later I'm on fire. I dropped a lot of stuff but hey, I suck, so it's okay. -
All green >:3

Lots of three dragons moves. but...what? 6A at the end sets staff now?
